I also have mixed feeling about Ep 18. I didn't want the mother to take the kid. But, ML respected the kid's decision.…
A very very mature and sensible 6yrs old boy. Wonder in reality would you have a kid this age with such high EQ. Lol. However i do come across children who mature very early because of their life experiences, so if since young age, the kid has been learning to be independent and maybe through ML’s parenting style had learnt how to be sensitive and sensible to others and make such a hard decision.
I also only noticed him quite recent in ‘The silence of monster’., acting quite good for a newcomer. In this drama, his character style seems quite similar ‘cool-cold’ type. Interested to see how he will pair with FL.
Ep 18 is quite an intense ep to take in. It’s painful for both ML and the kid. I personally felt it’s well acted, esp the child, expressing his emotions so well. It’s a tough decision of no right or wrong choice. But interesting that it was the child that helps to guide the decision, which is important. As every child had the right to decide what they prefers. I am sure ML would not have let go if the kid hasn’t persuaded him. And it’s a silent but good understanding ‘goodbye’, knowing they (father and child) will always have their bond and can always check in with each other. From the birth mom’s situation and story being given a second chance by her son, it also sits well with the main theme of this drama, ‘second chance’.
Chen Fei Yu’s team has taken legal action. Hopefully it will tied over for him soon. Such misfortune, only starting to gain some fame and this happened. Feels like a set up to crash him. Now all his future works seem to be on hold, sigh.
When FL was telling ML to change the surgeon's name to Dr. Ding, I was like wth are you doing, girl? You can't…
I have no issues with ML too. Just wonder if he doesn’t learn to communicate and express his love; then it’s really very hard to find love. And IMO, the theme of this drama shouldn’t just be “if you love me, you accept who I am”. Loving someone can be a skill to learn and do hope he does learn how in the end.
Just started this not long ago at ep 14. Think the released is out to ep16. Like the synopsis stated, a love with a bad start and after 6yrs, they met again. Both have to decide whether they still can work it out. The first few ep is showing all the flaws and arrogant character of the ML, but it also shows that the ML doesn’t really know how to truly love somebody. He is the best in his medical profession as a ‘machine’. So potential to see his growth and learn how to show love to FL. The imperfection of character attracts me. It also shows the maturity and growth of FL from a lovesick girl to more sure of what she wants in love. I like the medical cases and how they discuss about the profession so far. Worth the try when you have the time;)
okay they really need to stop it with this nonsense. This is probably the 6th Cdrama I've watched where brave Chinese…
Missionary trips to third world country for doctors is still an over glorified task. A lot of drs do dream to do that. But the gunning in Africa was dramatic!!!🤣
At ep 14, I kind of like the lawyer, so persuasive and determine to court FL.
So far the pace is quite quick, but agreed with one of the comment below that after 10 ep of seeing no growth in ML, wondering should he even deserve to win back FL.
Poor communication really kills love and marriage. And ML’s lack of love and concern when young, can resulted in him not knowing how to express and love others as an adult. Get that but after 10 eps, I wonder is he learning? Haven’t see that happening yet. Seems to manipulate his son to get FL’s attention. Lol! He really can do better after so many ep.

A doctor without a heart is just a machine.
