Completed ep 30, I must say that I am overall satisfied with how it was done. Pretty true to the original works. Ending scene, I am very sure the guy on his laptop is Lou Ji, the main character for second book, setting up for second season.

Dehumanizing the ETO, that’s not in the book, but I guess that makes it easier for the audience to accept such massive brutal attacks on them. But then again, so many people on board of the ship are innocent!

I really love the effort and thought put in creating each the beautiful scene and it’s detailed set up of the crime scene. The director and production team done well in creating logical sets for investigation.

I kind of feel surprised and sad to know Minister Tao’s secret and him meeting his death. Guess that’s where ZP has to continue to investigate the stuck case. This is fast, 9 more ep to end, hopefully no cliff hanging ending.

Don’t know whether this storyline will follow the original works. According to those who read the novel, said that’s the twist. But according to the interviews for this drama, the team have changed quite a bit of the storyline, so we won’t know. Let’s wait patiently. Can’t believe only 9 more episode to go.
That will be book 2, preparing to fight the invasion.
I love book 2, ‘Dark forest’, how humanity gathered force to fight back. I personally felt book 3 is like an additional side note or extension story, as the story can end at book 2. Personal preference, first two books are the best;) for me.
