I love love love this movie! I will never not watch it lol. This is how disgusting human beings should be dealt…
My biggest problem with his method is that by constantly letting him go he put other people at risk causing more people do die, get hurt and traumatised. He should have locked him up somewhere and tortured him for a long time. He could have released him, letting him think he got away, and then lock him up again.
At the end I felt like the killer was right - he won. No matter what the main lead did, the pain he inflicted was not even close to the pain and destruction the kiler brought him, his victims and their families. I think that is probably why the ML cried like that at the end, it was mix of relief that he was finally done with his revenge mixed with the realization that nothing he did would take the pain away or bring back what he lost, be it the people he cared about or himself.
It felt like the Director or writer or whoever had a torture & humiliation kink, most of the women in the movie are just props to be abused and murdered after they've shown the audience a little skin. And their bodies used to lure the male gaze. Most of them are shown crying, screaming or begging for mercy. Only the granny is spared the humiliation because who wants to see her old body, right?. Pathetic!!!
honestly i have zero sympathy for the mom.. she neglected her child to the point where he ACTUALLY DIED... and then didn't have to deal with the consequences of killing her child because the jade emperor came by. she's pretty irredeemable to me
I love love love love this series and i just rewatched it. I said to my self there is no way i cry again cus i've done countless erratic weeping everytime i rewatched this series LOLS, but well well well, i am not god strogest soldier cus now I'm bawling all over again and my eyes look like this 3_3 gotta find a good excuse tommorrow at work on why my eyes looks so swollen hahaha

I think the ML is 39 (he was 9 when he ran away and the current time was 30 years after that), and the FL is in her late 20's (she started training with gun at around 15-18, and it's been 10 years since her training so she's around 25-28).
Just finished this and I wish I could forget the whole story and watch it from the beginning again. ðŸ˜Can’t believe I held out on the drama all this time… If you are a fan of revolution period dramas with heartbreaking love and sacrifice this is for you. The visuals? costumes? setting? cinematography? Haven’t seen many dramas where each and every thing is collectively outstanding. This was such a journey! Also got to add that LBH was made for this role! ugh! literally cant imagine anyone else playing the ml. And OFC loved KTR as the fl, she did the role justice for sure
At times, the viewer may get Trauma watching that Violence n gore :|
(At one point, I wanted to slap every character ðŸ¤)
