You had me at more romance and Skinship! Currently watching Korean Version and super frustrated because ML is…
How far are you into Flower Of Evil? Because while he is like this in the beginning, it is waaaaaaay different as the whole story and his character's layers are peeled back, bit by bit. And tbh, i have rarely seen a ML who is so ride or die for his drama wife :D
I just realize some details in the drama which are incredible. Bi Dam used to say his lifetime was three-day shorter than the King's, and that prediction actually came true. Three day after his death, queen Seonduk passed away. Also, Deokman told Bidam to leave first and find a good place then she would come to find him, I actually feel like she did make her promise. Bidam had died first and went to a good place, he waited for her there, and after Deokman finished everything in life, she went to another world as if she came to find Bidam. Those detail somehow healed my heart a little bit.
And it's crazy to know that Bidam used to be a support role, I mean that's why I don't see any chemistry between him and the queen, then suddenly one day Deokman said she loved him too which confused me a bit. As Kim Nam Gil did an amazing job so the screenwriters decided to change the script, and we got this heartbreak love story. Even though I guess it's a bit late to add their romantic story into the script, the acting and the script were so good that it convinced the audience to get hooked to the plot. I mean everything was outstanding!
I think it's time to move on from this trauma lol, I cried a lot and couldn't do anything for 2 days, I can't believe the film affected me that much... I hope a few months, a few years from now, I'll be able to rewatch it again.
Amazing drama. It's 4 am currently and I have just finished it and I am a mess. Characterization is just superb. Mishil and Deokman were just brilliant, I was in awe every time they interacted. Their conversations and the way they both learned something from each other, and the mutual respect...... chef's kiss. Bidam is the most pitiable and saddest character ever. He should have trusted Deokman a bit more, just a bit more but alas his insecurities brought about his demise. I truly couldn't blame Deokman for what happened to him, it was his own doing. I was completely in love with Yushin throughout the whole drama. His sincerity, devotion and love for Deokman was just the most beautiful thing. Also, besides Alcheon, he was the only one who cared honestly for Deokman's feelings. And finally, undoubtedly the best characters were Kodo and Jookbang. I just love them.
“Perhaps that person might had loved her more than I did” such an honest acknowledgement from ML... Han Tae Hwa is definately one of the most powerful SML ever existed.. Though he was flawed and gray shaded in some areas but his love for Jung Suh is unmatched... Regardless of all the misery and cruelty of his life, He lived for Jung Suh, protected her and in the end died for her... Furthermore He tried to make sure she's doesn't worry a bit for him... fake "girlfriend," writing comforting letters, and the whole "moving to France" cover while drowning in the abyss himself.... He wanted to give Jung Suh the ultimate gift a person can offer, but didn't want her to acknowledge or grieve him... No greater love...
Unfortunately nothing has changed even after years and now it's worse with the ongoing genocide in Gaza
It is honestly disrespectful for you to accuse Uyghur Muslims in China of being "forced" to act a certain way just because their lives don’t match the narrative you've been fed. That kind of thinking doesn’t show care, it shows how little you actually value their voices. You clearly don’t give a crap about Uyghurs muslims , Hui Muslims, or any of the other Muslim ethnic groups in China who live their lives with dignity, culture, and faith intact. There are thriving Muslim communities, mosques in nearly every city, and yes, even halal cafeterias in Chinese universities for Muslim students. I personally know Muslims living there who pray, fast, attend mosque, and live normal lives. But instead of listening to them, you dismiss it all because it doesn’t fit the image you’ve been taught to believe. That’s not activism , that’s arrogance pretending to care.

You keep accusing me of bias while doing the exact thing you claim to stand against , repeating one side of the story, ignoring the rest, and calling anything that doesn’t fit your narrative fake or staged. Let’s start with your claim that Muslims in China are banned from practicing Islam. That’s just not true. There are over 20 million Muslims in China, more than in many Western countries and even some Middle Eastern nations. There are over 35,000 mosques across the country. If Islam were truly being erased, how do you explain that number? How do you explain Hui Muslims, who live freely across China, pray openly, wear hijab, run halal restaurants, run mosques, go on livestreams in full niqab, and post openly about their faith every day on platforms like Douyin and Xiaohongshu? You say people are forced to look happy for the cameras, how convenient. Every positive video is propaganda, every negative one is the truth. That’s not cautious analysis, that’s selective confirmation bias. You haven’t talked to people in Xinjiang. You haven’t visited China. You haven’t even taken the time to explore Chinese platforms where real people are actually sharing their lives. Instead, you treat emotional, unverified clips from Instagram as hard evidence, and then call me arrogant for not accepting them as gospel. That’s not how real research works. Now let’s talk about what you never bring up: the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, or ETIM. This wasn’t some peaceful independence group, it was a radical terrorist organization with ties to al-Qaeda. They were behind bombings, stabbings, and attacks that killed not just Han Chinese but Uyghur civilians too. They openly called for jihad to create an Islamic caliphate in Xinjiang and had members trained in Afghanistan and Syria. The US even listed ETIM as a terrorist group for nearly two decades before quietly removing them in 2020, not because they stopped being dangerous, but because it suddenly became politically useful to weaponize Uyghur rights against China. So no, China didn’t just create security measures for fun — they were responding to real violence, radicalization, and separatist threats that groups like ETIM fueled for years. And don’t lecture me about East Turkestan natives. That term was invented in the 20th century by separatists pushing foreign agendas, the vast majority of Uyghurs in Xinjiang do not identify with that movement. And just so we’re clear, that same movement has literally posted AI-generated propaganda showing East Turkestan holding hands with Israel — while Palestinian children are being bombed. You think that’s solidarity? That’s who you’re standing with? You said you're cautious. So prove it. Apply that caution to all sources, not just the ones that tell you what you want to believe. Stop accusing others of being disrespectful just because they challenge you. Respect doesn’t mean agreeing with you. It means holding the same standard of truth across the board. And if you actually care about Uyghurs, then talk to them directly. Go on Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Weibo , hear it from them. Otherwise, stop pretending your carousel posts and recycled talking points are anything more than well dressed western/US pushed propaganda.
LOL. On Episode 18, Jing Chou is asked by the celestial being (Re Han) if he has ever heard of Gu Yue. JC says, no he's never heard of him but he's heard of "Hu Ge" who is quite famous from his hometown. HAHA.
I just finished watching this drama and I have no words! I was hesitating to watch it at first, but after watching the first episode, I found myself totally in love with the story. Everything about this drama was perfectly done.
Yamashita Tomohisa as Shiratori Sakuto was absolutely amazing. He did a great job! Every emotion that his character had was palpable. And now I'm looking forward to watching more of his works.
And Kuriyama Chiaki as Mochizuki Haruka was amazing. She brought a lot of emotions to her character and I really enjoyed it.
The Support characters were amazing and the actors did a wonderful job too. The friendship between Hiyama Kousukand, Yanagawa Ryuichi, and Shiratori Sakuto was really meaningful and beautiful. This drama sure taught me a lot of things that I'll keep in my heart forever. I had to rate this drama 10/10 because I didn't find anything even remotely bad about it. I'm really glad that I've watched a drama with such a beautiful story * sobbing*
I must admit I was sceptical going into this drama, having an older brother that suffers from cerebal palsy I hoped they wouldn't trivialize mental disability for comedic effect. But the story is down to earth, it's very heartwarming and Karina is awesome as usual. Yees the 2 year old Himawari is so cute :D
I feel close with the storyline. Maybe beacuse I am also disabled, in the other way than Yuzu, I'm on wheelchair, but I stllI can uderstand problems what Yuzu and her family had
Now,I'll tell you what I think about the most important charcters:
Yuzu: She's great kid. Yes, I think she's inside still 8 years old girl, cause her disablity, but it's nothing wrong with that! She knows she is mom and tries her best, everyone saw that. I think she may not understand the all adult suff, but she understand people feelings, maybe not in the way like we do, but she wanted made everyone to be happy. How many of us have pure hearts like her? It was one thing about her, what I don't understand. Why she changes her clothers ony few times during all episiodes? Others change thair chloters a few times per episode!
Himawari: She's just cute, normal kid. Sometimes she didin't understand why her mom is not like other moms, but she still loves her no matter what! When Himawari gests older she and Yuzu were more like friends than mom and daughter, but it is okay
Miyoko (Yuzu's mom): In the frist episodes she was overprotective over Yuzu, but she finally understand she can allow Yuzu be a little bit intepened. Miyoko was very loving and caring person. She wanted carring about everyone and want her childs to be happy. She's was proud of them!
Ren: The protective younger bro! He never thinks his sister is problem for him. He is happy when he can take about Yuzu. I must say that I love siblings (family) love beetwen Yuzu and Ren. They love each other! Ren played another song than he should on his "job interviev" just to make Yuzu happy. Yuzu start working just beacuse she wanted her bro to have more free time for his girlfriend. The moment when they hold hands on the street on the way to home was just so sweet!
Kotone: She was kind of rebel, but she was still good person. She was one, who was just honest to Yuzu, maybe sometimes too honest but she still she was doing her best. Kotone was in love with Ren. Almost everyone knew it! I think even Ren might know. Why he didin't talk to Kotone about her feelings? I wished they would end up as couple, but sadly Kotone love for Ren was one-sided, he teated her like if she was his second little sister.
Ren's girlfriend: In the frist episodes she seems to be, egoistic, rich girl, but since she found Yuzu is Ren older sis and she mentaly disabled, Ren's girlfriend wanted to know her better and accept all Ren's life
The story was so reallistic and so touched I gave it 10/10!
