So, here's the thing. I noticed something about this one and the ancient love poetry (which by the way, is the only xianxia drama I actually enjoyed). The hairstyles of Xu Kai and Wang Anyu just don't match their facial features, you know? Don't get me wrong, they're both good-looking, but I just wish they had better hairstyles. Although, I did like Xu Kai's hair in his rebirth.

I'm not really into Xianxia drama because I'm not a fan of heavy CGI effects, but since my girl Zhao lusi is in it, I gotta watch it...

Alright, so I had some high hopes for this drama, especially since workplace dramas are my jam, and I'm all about those with minimal power dynamics. A bit of miscommunication is cool – it happens in real life, right? But the constant back-and-forth between two grown adults? Come on, blocking someone felt a tad too childish.

Now, let's talk about the actors – my faves! Bai Lu is usually my girl, and I know she can bring it, but this character? Well, let's say I could only tolerate her. Not a fan of the whole overbearing CEO thing, but hey, when it's done right, it can be interesting.

As for Dylan, he's solid. Wasn't a massive fan before, but he's a decent actor who does justice to his character. I just wish they both picked a different script together because their chemistry is too good to waste on something like this. Here's hoping for better projects in the future!

I am fine with the Male Lead but I am not sure about the FL. I couldn't complete her dramas everytime and the…
I think she was amazing in South wind knows actually. She improved very well, she can play emotionally driven character really well. I think she can nail a really cold role.

Honestly, it's not the actors' fault at all. They've shown they can rock their roles. It's just the script that's letting them down. Feels like they've got this awesome cast, but the story's not doing them justice. Such a bummer!

Man, I gotta spill the tea on this year's political dramas. With the way they've been dumbing down the plots, I went in with my expectations scraping the floor. But you know what kept me hooked? Bai Lu and her acting game. She's like the anchor in this sea of political madness.

I never thought I'd get whiplashed in a good way, but damn, this drama delivered. I've been starved for some evil and scheming leads who actually own up to their wickedness. Bai Lu's character, JXN, is a total boss. She doesn't pull a typical damsel-in-distress move; she knows how to throw down and manipulate the game. As the saying goes, "I support women's rights and wrongs," and she's living up to that.

Now, XW is a whole different level of deranged and unhinged. Talk about manipulative! These two are like a match made in heaven, or maybe hell, considering how toxic they are. It's been ages since I witnessed such morally grey characters actually being smart. JXN isn't running to the male leads for help; she's out there knowing when and who to manipulate.

After the disappointment that was "Legend of Anle," I almost lost faith in Cdramas. But this one's a game-changer. Finally, a political intrigue drama worth the binge!

I really like the way XW and Ning'er interact. At first, they didn't get along because XW was suspicious of her and Ning'er was cautious around him due to his cold-hearted past. But as time went on, they started to show their true selves to each other, especially Ning'er. I think she only reveals her true self to XW. In her previous life, she was selfish and self-absorbed, but she was also lonely. XW was the only one there for her in her final moments, and I think he may have had feelings for her based on his expressions when she died.

ZZ is too righteous, and YN is too immature for her. She feels guilty for what happened to both of them in their past life, which is why she holds onto any relationship she can. But with XW, all she feels is fear when they meet again. She never tried to understand XW like she does now in her past life.
I really love their chemistry and dynamic. I can't wait to see their relationship develop even more.

I love how even though his actual name is Shen Yi, we all just call him Shen Nuo. It's like how in Love like the Galaxy, people still refer to Zisheng as Ling Buyi.

The show's ending this week and it's kinda bumming me out because it's been my go-to for relaxation lately.

I strongly believe Shen Nuo is a player, and I think the show might have a similar ending to "Romance of the Tiger and Rose." But I hope they take a slightly different route, because I don't want Man'er to lose her parents and brother in real life, especially since her real parents are terrible. I have this crazy theory that Man'er's parents in the game could actually be Shen Nuo's real parents. Lol, wouldn't that be wild?

I really loved the new episodes. I think the two main characters are the ones who really make the show. They have such great chemistry that you can even feel the romance in their small actions, like Shen Nuo helping Man'er with her restaurant and her helping him join the guild. It's so cute to see how they develop. I can't believe it took them 17 episodes, but I enjoyed every single scene, so it went by quickly. I find Hu'er to be an interesting character. From her perspective, Man'er has everything she wants - a loving family who would do anything for her. Meanwhile, Hu'er has parents who would sell her out for a job. Man'er is also outspoken, while Hu'er can't speak her mind. Man'er runs her own business with her own strength, while Hu'er has to depend on her husband. It's natural for her to feel jealous. Although what she did is not justifiable, she's certainly an intriguing woman in the "male-dominated" game world.

We don't know that yet. But in the game, he is a duke, the brother of the empress.

So, I heard some people were talking smack about my girl Man'er, but let me just remind you that she's an agriculture major and she's totally killing it in the game. Not everyone is a business genius, you know?

Plus, she's a modern thinker in a historical setting, which can be tough. In today's world, her business tactics would totally work, but it's a whole different ball game in the past. That's where Shen Nou comes in. He's got the business smarts, but he doesn't know a thing about agriculture. They complement each other, you know?

Man'er will eventually learn about business, but you can't expect her to know everything from the get-go. It doesn't make her stupid or anything. It's actually better that she's learning along the way instead of magically knowing it all at the start.

That's the character design, that's literally how her character looks in the games
That's also the hairstyle in the game if i am right. Also, she didn't cosplay the character, it was official.

ML took FL for granted? Everything he did was for her. His whole character revolved around her, and that's not…
Alright, let's not jump the gun here. She was really down in both situations, like with FYS she was totally depressed and felt guilty. And on top of that, her senior actually died while FYS has bounced back. I bet if anything worse had happened to him, she would be completely devastated.

Although nothing can compare to New Life Begins for me, this drama has become my comfort for the past few days. I remember I was the happiest when I was watching NLB, I was on a slump after it ended. I am afraid the more comfort this show gives me, the sadder I am going to be when it ends lol.

You guys haven't met Asian grandmas, haha. It's hilarious how much she reminds me of my own grandma. It's a typical Asian family thing and it can be annoying, but the satisfaction I get when her tricks fail is so good that I don't mind her.

Man'er and Shen Nou are just too cute, I love seeing their little developments. SN is clearly falling for her but won't admit it to himself, and Man'er definitely has feelings for him too, but can't admit it either because it's a game. It's adorable how they're falling even more for each other slowly, eps by eps.
The show is funny as well, the jokes aren't just slapsticks or funny faces, but they are clever but simple enough to not fly over our heads.
