Oh man, I just realized that the show is wrapping up next week... Holy crap, I've been totally hooked on this show for the past couple of months. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions and now I'm bummed that it's all coming to an end. And to top it off, I won't be able to see my girl Zhu Jiu anymore.
It's crazy how JSN always blames ZJ, even when FYS broke up with her. Like, what did this woman do to deserve being kicked when she's already down? She got dumped by the only man she's ever loved, lost her grandma, and yet you think she's the one ruining your son's trustworthiness. I need my girl to stay away from his family. FYS should at least grovel a little because his mother's treatment of her is inhumane. All she did was fall in love with your son and make him happy, and this is how you repay her? She deserves whatever bad things come her way.
There is absolutely no way this is a 7.9....it's not perfect but its for sure above thatttt. There are dramas…
I was shocked at the writing, sure the angst is a lot but in no way in hell is this show bad writing. The actors are really good, their chemistry is good and the story is good too I don't understand the rating system on this site tbh
A spoiler* But i remember in one of the trailers granny did talk to him the night before the surgery. She was telling him to look after ZJ after she is gone
Why did YS even break up with her? was it because of his physical condition? because he seems fine to me, or because…
He broke up because of his spleen which will make him have risk for the rest of his life and he is worried he canāt protect her from anything. Then he heard about the liver donor so I would say both
Just a quick reminder to everyone that the genre of the show you're watching is Melodrama. It's all about stirring up emotions in you and involves over-the-top situations where characters deal with intense conflicts. So, if you're feeling annoyed, angry, or sad, that means they're doing a good job sticking to the genre. Just a heads up, don't go into this drama expecting a romantic comedy (even though the first few trailers might have made it seem that way).
Okay I knew this drama would be depressing but it's not only depressing, it's irritating and very very boring…
Yeah, I totally agree with you on most of your points, especially about the annoying characters. But I think that's kind of the whole point of the show. It's filled with flawed characters, which is actually refreshing because we're so used to seeing perfect, cookie-cutter characters. So yeah, they can be annoying, but it's more realistic that way. I just realized that this drama isn't for everyone. If you can't handle characters with toxic personality traits, then obviously you're gonna hate this show. But surprisingly, I enjoy it even though I'm not a big fan of melodramas. If you're familiar with Asian family dynamics and the toxic behavior that often comes with dysfunctional families, then this show captures it perfectly. And remember, we're also dealing with rich people here, so you can imagine the toxicity is even more intense. I don't think the show is disappointing at all. It's actually delivering what it promised in the trailers, even though some of them made it seem like a romcom. It's more of a melodrama, meant to make us feel something, and in this case, it's anger.
