It because they don't think the viewer can have logical thinking to deduce something if it didn't shown in their…
100% this!!! They think the viewers are idiots.
It's also a sign of bad writing. If this connection was established from the beginning, and was shown gradually throughout the episodes, the viewers would be able to make the connection regardless of the different faces.
There are smarter shows than this and theories run rampant. This is a solidly badly written and directed show with really good actors.
I can't help but think that Alchemy of Souls did this concept better.
I haven’t really paid attention to Ahn Bo Hyun in his previous roles before. But here his acting is spot on…
He is great in Yumi's Cells and Military Prosecutor Doberman. They are both vastly different characters and he plays them well. And Itaewon Class. Absolutely hated him in that... which is a sign of a good actor.
I doubt it. Clearly the kdrama route is that she is meeting the same people from her first life in her 19th life...Which goes against the webtoon plot.
But even if it was repeat faces, they could surely show that... Unless the writer and director themselves have no idea what her previous 18 lives were.
Does anyone know why there were only 10 former lives represented in the symbolic scene where the FL walks and they walk behind her? Why weren't there 18 lives?
Okay. Here is my opinion about the drama version. I think she intended to look for her niece when she's grown…
The way they wrote it in the drama, that wasn't the case. The FL said several times that meeting the ML in her 18th life made her feel like "living again", and "she wanted to come back in her 19th life just for him," etc. Basically, she fell for him already (within the context of her 18th life), and the reason she followed him after, was because she had romantic feelings for him. They never show the FL "falling for him" in her 19th life. Or realising that she has feelings for him in her 19th life. Rather, she remembers everything and immediately hunts him down, lives her entire life with the intention of getting close to him and hits on him from the moment she meets him.
So... Not like the webtoon, where she hunts him down because she is concerned for him, and then later realises she fell for him.
I'm just curious (as of episode 4) if the roles were reversed and the ML came on as strong as the FL on her especially…
YES! 100%. Especially in the first four episodes.
The double standard lies in seeing a man pursuing a woman who is not interested as something potentially dangerous, while a woman pursuing a man who is not interested is not potentially dangerous because he can overpower her anytime.
So yes, definitely a double standard here.
Apparently in the webtoon it's different. She teases him by proposing all the time because he once proposed to her. So it's not with any actual intention of starting something romantic with him from the get-go.
Okay. Here is my opinion about the drama version. I think she intended to look for her niece when she's grown…
I clearly prefer the webtoon too, even though I haven't read it. The fact that she searched for him because she was worried, looked over him because she cared, and then teased him all the time only to fall for him as they get to know each other... Now that's romantic.
Okay. Here is my opinion about the drama version. I think she intended to look for her niece when she's grown…
I knew it!!! People said I was crazy for wanting more of a backstory regarding why the FL went looking for Seo Ha besides "because she fell for him in her 18th life," but turns out the story I wanted was the exact plot of the original webtoon...
I loved the reveal at the end!! I've been saying since Episode 1 that all of this would make more sense if the…
I haven't read the webtoon, but I'm sure that it must have been really good for them to think of doing a drama adaptation. I personally think that the writer of this drama is subpar at best, so it doesn't surprise me that the essence of her affection hasn't been translated well to this form of media.
I must commend Tvn for supporting such kdrama. It doesnt appeal to the masses but it is thought provoking, beatifully…
Honestly, the music editing is such a turn off for me. It's bad music choices used at a time it doesn't go well with the scene and it starts and ends abruptly. Almost soapy. My theory is that most of the budget went into securing the two lead actors which meant less money for everything else.
I loved the reveal at the end!! I've been saying since Episode 1 that all of this would make more sense if the two of them had a twisted fate in her first life (eg:- they were lovers or if one killed the other). I heard that the twist is not in the webtoon, which makes me happy that they decided to give more depth to the story this way. - Her obsession with him is now believable to me.
Also, I'm sooo invested in the happiness of the second couple. I don't know why. I just am.
WY don't you write your own? since you're this well versed?
lol. I have written my own actually. And I was lucky enough to win an award for my writing too.
But that's besides the point. These shows are produced for entertainment for mainly laymen. Surely, everyone is entitled to their opinion as a viewer, as long as it's not biased for or against, and not overly hateful or overly worshipful towards the people who created it.
Something that caught my attention was when she said this was the first time she was reincarnated so quickly.…
Exactly. I can't help but do the math too. lol. I really want to able to say, "Yes, I know every single one of her lives in chronological order as well as how she died each time." I would understand if it's a mystery, but since we're half way through, it's looking like the story is going to focus mostly on her 18th and 19th lives.

I wonder why they changed it so much...
I knew the background of this drama wasn't right.
