Title Three-Body
I think it is to pass the censorship, hence they have to downplay and dilute it. Major part of the Chinese culture…
I wonder, as the author of the books is of course Chinese, that the books were not censored regarding the cultural revolution parts. You think they censored the drama a bit about it ? Or is this cultural revolution also not seen in a good "light" from the view of the current government , so the criticism is okay ?

It's sloooooooooowwww. Empty. I can see it's a preface and they're going to release a sequel. As a sci-fi series…
Oh, looks interesting, put on PTWL, where did you watch this ? No streaming service mentioned there !? I can recommend Three-Body airing at the moment.

Yeah, they got the game really good, just the dehydration sequence I found more on the funny side ;-)

For someone who doesn’t usually watch sci-fi, is this confusing to watch and follow?
Hm, not sure, not as confusing to follow the story, but much lies in the dark and will be revelead late, it's more on physics on a large scale than your usual alien thingy. It's based on a best selling book from a chinese author.

(episode 8) - There is no way the back of that vehicle is that big LOL!
Haha, my exact thought, that was some of the most shitty cinematography ever, haha :-) I think they needed space for the camera man or he should have just brought a US-style RV. Nevertheless, fun drama :-)

Why do most people don't like the idea of romantic relationship between teacher and student? Is it because of…
If it's teacher/student it's actually a problem due to conflict of interest. But personally I don't get age gap discussions at all, if it's legal regarding age and people love each other, who I am to judge or stop them :-) ?

Nothing special, but some good message in general and of course about unique student dorms and their charm :-)

Nice article! Cool you covered fatherhood, as it seems not to be the usual thing talked about often here, now I'll read the motherhood article, that I didn't know about :-) Yeah, as stated below Reply 1988 is fun to dissect, too, as it's 4 very different fatherhoods in a realistic setting.

Nice article ! Seems you did the hell of a reserch about it :-) I didn't know about the 'otona' thing. I see there's tons of differents aspects and levels about/of 'kawaii'. Recently I watched jdrama's where there are those funny kawaii moments which don't put down the FL being the inferior. Also when I look at my japanese friends it seems the society there is slowly changing for the better. Regarding the whole kawaii aspect in the sense of 'childish' I'd say I don't like people (indepedant of gender) who totally forget they have been a child or act all grown up 100% of their time. It's good to preserve a childlike curiostiy and humor at times. Question for you: How do you see the kdrama kawaii-ness compared to jdrama ?
