I need Ra Ik to stay his troubled behind in the house, whoever’s house that is. He’s not helping his case tweaking in the streets where CCTV and high speed internet smartphones capture foolishness all day.😩
I don’t think any sane person would pick a fight with a known murder suspect.🤣 This was not real life. What if Ra Ik really was about that life and had hands? Then what?
I really cannot stand the agency CEO and the angry Gold Boy member. No wonder Ra Ik was overwhelmed and crashing out.
The level of corruption with the police and prosecution is disheartening. Choosing professional advancement and laziness over seeking the truth is sick.
From episode 3 , I'm now thinking his crazy ex is the one who killed his friend while his friend tried protecting…
Same. It was odd for her to pop up at his fansign event and coldly lurk from afar. I wouldn’t be surprised if she knew his passcode from their time together and he never changed it.
If this came out 15 years ago, without a doubt Miura Haruma would have been cast as Sakaki Itaru. The synopsis sounds like some of his work.💐 I can’t wait to watch this week!
This was a nice slice of kurisumasu keki! I wish the series wasn’t so short. I feel like there was more left to explore, such as being a workplace couple and how they managed that in what may be a conservative environment, and of course date nights and meeting each other’s friends. They left me wanting more, but that’s much better than begging for the plug to be pulled.🤣
hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 At this rate, she is going to turn into an Indonesian horror movie ghost very soon. The number…
You nailed it!🤣 These villains keep popping up like Matryoshka dolls. How many do they need? The crazy part is everyone is vying for an awful company deep in the red.
I’ve yet to see Din do anything worthy of his title. He’s relying on an arranged marriage and funding when the issue is systemic. I feel bad for Sara getting roped into this clown show.😩 She tried to explain to him early on the problem but his pride got in the way. Sara would be a better CEO.
The writers basically buried the hatchet between Sarach and Yo and said, “Here they are smiling together at their siblings’ wedding. The end.” I guess they had to make room for this legion of villains.
I consider Nam and Baicha the biggest villains too. For them, it’s not business but personal. Nam is quite manipulative and chaotic. He wanted to show himself a man to Sara and got blackout drunk, passed out on the couch, and she had to help Din lift him up.🥀 Nam lives to embarrass himself!
At this point, I think Baicha just wants to be chosen, regardless of which brother. Hell, she’d probably even go after Yo.
Madam Son is serving us look after look!😍 The drama stylist understood the assignment and over-achieved. The gold jewelry and sleek silhouettes are giving me so much life. This will be my wardrobe starting at 60.🤣 Madam Son is a cruel gremlin who raised even worse beasts, but her style is impeccable! Her outfits are the subplot for me.😆
I’m a couple years late to the party, but I never heard of this drama until recently. It’s definitely my cup of tea. I’m thrilled to see Ok Ja Yeon is in this. She was brilliant in “Mine.” It’s amazing how much behavioral science is brought into shaping public perception and redirecting the conversation. Who knew a slick, high-end designer handbag could distract people from a chaebol’s power harassment case.
I concur with your summary and rating.BTW, my favorite J-drama of 2025 was Romantics Anonymous. I also enjoyed…
I plan on watching Romantics Anonymous, so I’m glad to hear it’s a solid drama! I haven’t heard of Private Banker. I’ll look it up. I totally agree that edutainment type dramas can be enjoyable. What draws me in is the relatability. It’s like sitting with a good friend over a cozy beverage and talking about life.
What a a full-circle ending! I was concerned it would be rushed with the limited time, but this drama was good at summarizing events. At first I wasn’t sure about this drama as it came across as very slice of life, but the plot began to thicken and it became more than a work drama. This was an investigation with a smoking gun case boiling under the surface! I enjoyed watching Hinako develop and grow in her new field and slowly fall in love with it despite her initial reservations. This drama is more for the drama “hobbyists” out there rather than casual drama watchers. If you like hunting for gems and golden nuggets or have an appreciation for “off-the-beaten path”dramas, this one is for you! I give it a solid 8.5.
Din can’t read a room. Bringing back Sara for a “nostalgia” tour of his family mansion that her family boarded as the help like it’s a grand surprise is crazy work.😩 Can’t he see the discomfort on her face? Sara and Sarach were tormented in that house by his younger brothers. Din has lost some of the emotional intelligence he had as a kid.🤦♀️ Of course his mom shows up like the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come in all her ghoulish ways. Let’s hope they put her in a retirement village.
That investigation scene of Ra Ik’s cussing tirade about his stalkers and Se Na’s slow descent into deep shock as she watches her perfect perception of him shatter at a 360 angle is a masterpiece.🤣 The editing was brilliant. As they say, never meet your heroes! They’re just us with fame and money.😅
Tulip’s dad is a whole gremlin. He sexually harassed Baikhaw’s mom during the exam and then caused pain while probing her, lying that he was checking for abnormalities. She came to the appointment fine and left in pain with a limp only for her to then be backed over by him in his car while having an affair with a young woman. To add insult to injury, he leaves her in a hit and run. This man was a cheating ho all the way back then. He had the gull to slander Baikhaw’s dad as a wife beater, which drove him to taking his own life. A true narcissist!
No wonder Baikhaw turned into Michael Meyers!!! It doesn’t make it right, but all that trauma from the situation and abuse from her hallucinating mother destroyed her mental health and sense of reality.
Tulip’s mom was a tap dancing clown for a man who wouldn’t spit on her if she were on fire. Leave the cult, lady! I want justice for Baikhaw’s parents. That’s the only thing missing.
Tao couldn’t win for losing!😅 He’s stacked up cases like Pokemon cards.
Finally Tulip rubbed her brain cells together and followed the patterns to reveal the truth, with the help of Namo and Tao. It took 8 episodes, but we made it! Namo ending things with that fatal shot!!😲 He became a new man when he woke up from that coma. He was giving alpha vibes from that moment on, and I loved every second of it! I bet no one will take him lightly again.
What an insane rollercoaster ride this drama was! Unintentionally funny, suspenseful, and infuriating all at once. There was never a dull moment. I just wish Tulip’s parents rotted in prison. A divorce was such a lukewarm “consequence.” Throw them under the jail.
Rest in beauty to our fallen queen, Wawa!💐 We’ll never forget your bravery, kindness, and intelligence!🥰
Tulip: 🤳🤕🏃🏻♀️ *Cracks Baikhaw in the head with a phone and then discards the phone to run away, instead of using it to call the police WHILE running away.*
I’m still struggling to understand this part, how did they get in, the password, how did they know which unit…
If you google Jaejoong + stalkers or sasaeng, you’ll get a bit of insight on this topic. He dealt with it for years and talks about it quite a bit. Stalkers would break into his house to take pictures of him and kiss him while he slept and steal his stuff. He suffered a lot. Jaejoong tends to be quite forthcoming about the dark side of the industry. This drama makes me think of him a lot as a beloved veteran idol.
Episode one captured all the complexities of the idol industry. Ra-Ik is a veteran idol from a successful group who’s been together for 12 years. At this point of an idol’s career, everyone is on their own path and thinking about establishing the next phase of their careers. They’re a legacy group, so they still have a powerful fanbase and industry respect, but the kids don’t know them well. Even after all these years, there are those who never grew up and instead stalk, slander and harass idols as a twisted form of affection. On top of that, Ra Ik is deeply isolated due to tensions with a group member and poor care from management. His fans are his main supporters, but that’s a one-way relationship based on a well-crafted persona of perfection. No one can maintain such a lofty standard!
We watched Ra Ik explode because of the expectation for him to internalize his abuse and suffer in silence, leading to what appears to be anxiety or panic disorder, and relying on medication to function. Therapy doesn’t work because Ra Ik feels trapped in his circumstances and only treats the symptoms, because treating the root may mean walking away entirely. How many of our faves have shared similar stories or lost the battle? This subject matter is quite heavy. I find myself quite drawn to and empathetic towards Ra Ik.
Se Na is adorable and quite unique in the idol fan narrative. She’s a successful lawyer who takes on and wins big cases. Se Na is a public figure in her own right, surrounded by cameras and scrutiny as she fights the cases others are too afraid to attempt. Her lifestyle is considered “alternative.” We heard her coworkers discount her achievements by pointing out she has no husband, kids, or friends, and just works all the time. In reality, she has a close friend and a hobby (Ra Ik fan) she enjoys that many would consider taboo. Her path is different, and she’s content with it.
I’m shocked and devastated by the murder of the very sweet Gold Boy member! Since stalkers easily break and enter Ra Ik’s apartment, the perpetrator may be a stalker or some disgruntled lunatic. I have no idea how a luxury complex could have such poor security. The ending scene was powerful! Again, Se Na having the credentials and authority to go down to the police station with her badge to visit Ra Ik and represent him speaks volumes. She’s not some socially delayed woman living in her mother’s basement streaming Gold Boy songs all day and eating ramyeon. Se Na is a accomplished woman who lives life on her own terms!
If the writers remain consistent, this drama could be my favorite of 2025 and perhaps beyond. Give my man, KJY a Blue Dragon Award stat!🥰 He’s putting his whole back into this role.♥️
Stalkers are NOT fans. They’re obsessed criminals. It’s crazy how the agency boss doesn’t understand that and protect his talent. The crazy part is this plot is more of documentary than fiction. These are real stories straight out of the news. Literally this week a 50 year old woman got arrested for trespassing on an idol’s property. Some people don’t even grow out of this behavior.
Kim Jae Young was born for this role.♥️ I’m hooked on this drama. It’s the best depiction I’ve seen so far of idol and fandom life. Ra Ik reminds me of Jaejoong with his styling and music, so I feel a sense of nostalgia.😆 Him getting knocked down by the fan and having a meltdown behind the scenes cracked me up. You can’t go through idol life and never snap.😅 I like seeing his humanity.
Din has a whole love square going!I feel like Baicha came out of nowhere. She was pushing hard for Nam and messing around with a side piece to pass time. Now she helps Din with his financial burden and suddenly she’s been in love with him since childhood??? Make it make sense!
If Nam put half the effort into work as he does obsessing over Sara and fighting over her like a child, the company could possibly get out of the red. He has thinks working is showing up in the office wearing a blazer to glare at Din and stalk and threaten Sara in the lab.😩 Nam is still that schoolyard bully.
Din’s ex is a whole clown. How are you going to pull up on his fiancé to challenge her for Din and say her hesitation means she doesn’t love him as much as you do and you want to care for him??? You dumped him because he chose to take care of his dying father and their family business that fed his family and many others, and couldn’t study with you. If that’s not selfish, IDK what is. The ex is a revisionist.

Just looking at Tar can give somebody a contact high. All that sweating and scratching. He’s in deep.
