The Golden Egg is cooking! It was worth hanging in there through the more episodic cases. Now we’ve got ourselves a big case to solve. Hinako has had to reckon with working in a taboo field and facing the harsh consequences of such work. With each episode she has found deeper meaning in the work she does. In episode 8, I like how she said they don’t discriminate. Whether it’s a politician, celebrity, criminal, or their own sponsors, they seek to reveal the truth and inform the public.

Wow, Niko in episode 8 looks like a Disney prince!🥰 The actor, Yu Miyazawa, isn’t credited on the cast list but has an MDL profile. He reminds me of Dean Fujioka. I’ll have to see what else he stars in!

Considering all the moles around and escaping another brush with death from the enemy, why do these people constantly talk about their next steps and findings loudly and out in the open for the enemy to hear??? They have zero sense of discretion.😩

As a mystery fan, I do understand why some may be confused. Yes, this is a mystery drama, but that doesn’t mean it’s well executed. I’ve watched complex mysteries and while there may be many pieces with seemingly no connection, the storytelling presents the case in a compelling manner (from the beginning) that draws you in and makes you want to solve it. It’s fun going back and forth with yourself about who could be a suspect and come up with theories about what happened. You want to put on your detective hat and get to work. That’s the beauty of mystery! This exciting element felt like it was missing in episode one, for me personally (to each their own💕). However the ending piqued my curiosity and encouraged me to stick with the drama. Episode 2 was MUCH better, and I feel like we’re getting somewhere. Compared to other mysteries, the writing isn’t the strongest here (personal opinion; I’m no expert, just an avid viewer). And that’s okay! I’m just happy BL continues to challenge itself and try more genres.♥️ I remember when the plots were mostly engineering students and acoustic guitars.😆 Look how far we’ve come!💐 I’m going to let these writers cook and see what happens next in future episodes.🕵️‍♀️

Mile is the gift that keeps on giving in this holiday season.🤣 That bit with the podcaster was brilliant. I hope he gets more screen time. His journalistic adventures are quite entertaining!

I don’t like what Botpleng did to that investigator. She should’ve detained and charged him. There was no excuse for him to do that. Not cool!

You nailed it. Honestly, he’s the highlight of the whole drama. The issues between Hui Ju and Hae Won kept going in circles and getting stale. Woo Jae waking up moves the plot forward and adds mystery and suspense. He’s difficult to read. You can’t tell what he’s thinking or feeling.

Woo Jae/KJY has no business being this fine and chic!✨ His visuals are top tier. Woo Jae has a cool, mysterious demeanor, but after waking up he’s also gentle and (seemingly) wholesome. I can’t tell if he’s being genuine or playing everyone like a fool. He keeps me at the edge of my seat in anticipation, because I don’t know how much he knows, and he makes the others feel nervous and unsettled for different reasons.

I really despise Hui Ju for her actions and false humility she hides her arrogance behind. I have a lot of questions about Ho Su’s paternity. The timeline and circumstances aren’t adding up! He’s obviously Woo Jae’s son. What man agrees that his wife go abroad alone for 3 years to study and neither visit each other? How is a baby magically born and the husband think it’s his…? How is he okay with his supposed newborn child growing up without him? This is crazy. I’m honestly shocked mother-in-law allowed this, since she’s the boss of everyone.

Hae Won got on my nerves at first, but now that I know the backstory, I’m rooting for her. I wish she’d get a deep conditioning treatment and a nice haircut and new clothes. My girl is looking homely. Please don’t lose yourself over a man’s poor decision. Woo Jae played himself. Why lose 5+ years of your life over him? I know he’s gorgeous, but move on. He never showed genuine interest in her back then and just went along with her indifferently.

Saki is like the Japanese Olivia Pope, and I’m here for it! It’s always a treat seeing intense storylines about strong and complex women in Japanese TV and film.

Nam doesn’t do any work. He comes by the office to flirt with Sara and bring her treats.😩 I guess he said being put up for arranged marriage is his contribution to the family business.🥀 Din is reliable and a better fit for Sara.

I can’t stand the mother! She’s cracking down on the wrong son. Also, she brings no bright ideas for helping the business stay afloat, but barks at Din like a chihuahua.🙄

Sara’s fashion is eating!!! I love her glamorous work outfits and jewelry.

Keiya is giving charming 28-year old salaryman who’s respected by his colleagues and has many female admirers whom he has zero interest in, and his mother nags him about getting married, arbitrarily setting him up on blind dates that he tries to weasel out of. In other words, what is he doing inserting himself in the life of a middle school student and following her to high school as a full grown man? Please stop. They should’ve made this character a same-age underling who joined the gang as an errand boy to make a living because he lost his parents and has no money. The boss sends him to school and he follows Isaku. This would be appropriate.😩

I feel like Tulip’s father or both her parents had something to do with Baikhaw’s father’s death and her mother’s miscarriage. I don’t recall his profession, but somehow there must be a connection. Tulip never met Baikaw before this, but Baikhaw has targeted her and had much animosity towards Tulip’s parents. Now we see she has blood-spattered magazine covers of them. Also, Tulip’s mom has this hyper awareness about untrustworthy people and keeping Tulip sheltered. Something is up.

Not my girl, Wawa!!! Why didn’t she stay the night at Tulip’s house when she knew the block was hot after releasing Baikhaw’s tape?😭 She knew Baikhaw moved like a ninja, cloaked in the darkness whenever she attacked. Why didn’t Wawa invest in sneakers and a pocket knife or mace? Wawa!!!!!🥺 The Miss Universe Thailand of Our Hearts.💕

I’m convinced Tulip has cotton candy, sprinkles, and unicorn dung for brains. How did Baikhaw magically find a stabbed up Wawa after it was known she viciously attacked Wawa twice before, even using chemical warfare, and Wawa helped leak her tape? Wake up, Tulip! Baikhaw is deranged and dangerous. Tulip has ZERO critical thinking skills. Now she re-friends this girl and lets her back into the house ??? Her parents failed her.

Somebody please set up security at our man Namo’s hospital room! Where are his relatives? He doesn’t have his full strength to fight back yet. We already lost one good soldier.

I really wish Tulip wasn’t written to be so dimwitted. It’s the only thing that frustrates the plot. She lives as an amnesiac who woke up from a 30-year coma. She can’t be that dumb after all the revelations! Let’s hope it clicks when she wakes up next week after Baikhaw cracked her in the head with that plate.🥀

I hope the police know how to solve a case and Baikhaw and Tao are brought to justice. Tao may be repentant, but he still hit our man with his car and ran, leaving him in a coma.

When Namo returns to fights evil, he better not date Tulip. She doesn’t deserve his heart.😤

Baikhaw will work up some tears on the spot like a timed sprinkler system after doing somebody dirty.🤣 She’s cold-blooded! Can somebody please call in to have her placed in psychiatric hold???

I’ve had this one on the back burner. It’s light and fun! I’m not expecting a deep story, so my focus is on enjoyment. I like the internship plot and how the friends interact with each other. The “ romantic mystery” around the dating app chat is cute too.

She said she wasn’t helping him but needed him to help her, so I venture to say the Pro Bono team may have greater value to the firm than meets the eye. I’m curious if the firm has political or social aspirations that some of these cases would benefit them. Yoo Young seems like a sly fox. I doubt this is all for nothing.

Seated! Jung Kyung Ho never disappoints. He’s the perfect actor for this role. Chic arrogance is his specialty when playing characters like this.🥰

As a thriller/mystery fan, I want to love this, but I’m bored to tears and just as confused as Botpleng.🥀 I feel like they took every BL plot that’s been interesting, put it in a bag, shook the bag, dumped it on the writing desk, and said, “Yeah, that’s the plot!” I feel like I’m watching two different series, and honestly, I’m more interested in the comedy about the weekly magazine and its cute boss.😂

I don’t understand why Tan is so chill and too cool for school when seeking his amnesiac lover from 10 years ago. There’s no emotion or warmth. Is he a cyborg? I also don’t understand the random murder case and how it connects to the plot.😅 And what’s up with Mom and Grandma?? All I know is that Muenmile is freaking adorable and I want to know more about his life and publication.
