What a journey! Honestly, this may be my favorite series of this genre yet. The character development and storytelling buildup left me breathless for 8 weeks. AE is a hall of famer to me. He sits up in my Mount Rushmore with Togawa (Old Fashioned Cupcake), Kurosawa (Cherry Magic), and Win (Until We Meet Again/Between Us).🥰

I’ll NEVER tire of AE walking that runway! The beautiful, stoic face, the tall, portioned body, and steely gaze. Chiaki wasn’t lying when he refused to look at his “beautiful face” and was afraid if he looked in his eyes he would forgive him too easily. That’s why his AE poster got rolled up instead of torn down!😂 It’s impossible to resist AE. Even mad, Chiaki had his usual stroke when he saw AE on the runway in his design, and then took off like a track star when AE said those sweet words onstage and looked at him.

Chiaki’s admission that he felt the same about Enaga as he did about AE??? He knew Enaga was fine from Day-1! Bucket hats and sweats don’t hide beauty and rizz! Chiaki wasn’t fooling anybody acting unimpressed!

AE’s confession was adorable and Chiaki really knows to make the viewer feel just as awkward as he is.😂 That man has Chiaki wound up tight around his finger!

That was the most enjoyable product placement I’ve ever watched in a drama. I needed more of that ice cream date!!! AE looked so cool and cozy in his punk boyfriend outfit. He has such a soothing voice and style of speech. I love hearing him talk, and the subtle way he emotes and gazes.

My question was answered! I didn’t know if AE (stylization of Ai) or Enaga Ayumu was this man’s government name. I was right there with Chiaki trying to settle on what to call him.😆

Chiaki said, “I’m mad, but I’m not crazy,”
and neatly rolled up that AE poster in deep rage, because he knew he was going to be right back cuddled up under AE and putting that poster back up after he’s done being embarrassed.😂

I’m so here for this! The idol visuals are chef’s kiss. I love KJY, and I’m thrilled he’s starring in a drama I actually want to watch.

This was a real gem! Cream was such a wonderful character, although I hated how long she dragged out the lie. Pete is adorable! I preferred him over Tul, tbh. The three kiss scenes were practically non-existent. They resembled 2000s kdramas where the lips barely touch or you just see the back of the head.😩 I found this shocking, considering this was a Thai drama. I’ve seen Mew’s work in BL dramas, so it stunned me even more that the kisses were saltine cracker dry.

Since I enjoy business dramas, I didn’t mind that the romance element didn’t get as much investment. I wish we got clarity on what actually happened with the flower situation between Cream and Tul back in middle school that traumatized Cream. They never talked about it directly. Also, Tul acted like he didn’t know Cream was the girl he knew in school, but then when Cream confessed about her lie, she mentioned their past in school and Tul responded like they had known each other. These were plot holes to me.

I totally understand! TharnType went down hill with the sequels and adding those random characters. IMO, Until We Meet Again is the superior series compared to Between Us. Even though Win was my favorite character and liked him being the focus of Between Us, Until We Meet Again was better executed. Between Us did add extra supporting characters, but they don’t stir up unnecessary drama like Fiat did in TharnType. They’re comedic relief, but I didn’t find them necessary tbh. Besides that, both series keep the main characters played by the same actors.

Until We Meet Again is the main series. It focuses on Dean and Parm as the main plot and Win and Team are the secondary plot. Between Us is the sequel but it basically flips that main plot to focus on Win and Team and expand on what they were doing and experiencing during that period of the original series. You can watch Between Us as a standalone, but Until We Meet Again sets up the story well and fills in some gaps about the other characters and the dynamics between Win and Team. I feel like it completes the picture to watch Until We Meet Again first.

I knew Than would put his clown makeup on.🤡 He wants back on the police force, but is running around with a deceptive heir who got innocent people popped for his own benefit AND popped Than for leaving??? I don’t care how good Pheem looks in a smedium suit.

I don’t know why Cake didn’t hightail it into her car and get out of dodge before calling Cream. How are you getting chased and stop outside of your car to make an emergency call??? Get in the car!

I love Tul and Cream’s (“Fresh’s”) BBQ outings.🥰 He’s so smitten with her. I wish she’d just tell him the truth. I believe he’d understand from her POV regarding the high school bullying trauma and misunderstanding about her roses he threw away back then.

One thing about Tulip is, if your own father can betray you, surely a “new friend” you fast track into your life, who seems to always appear “at the right time” like Edward Cullen, can betray you. Baikhaw has delayed expression and soulless eyes- Tao too.

I need respect to be put on Namo’s name! If he offers to tutor you and stayed up all night helping you, don’t switch up on him for somebody else who doesn’t know the material like he does.😤

This is so beautifully said! I wholeheartedly agree. Chiaki never got to know AE personally, despite being in close proximity with him. He could never get past his admiration of him as an “idol.” AE seemed to represent what Chiaki wanted to be, hence taking on his punk style. He never shared anything personal about himself. AE was cool and guarded, as if not wanting to disappoint the image in Chiaki’s head. As Enaga he was more approachable and vulnerable. Chiaki could be himself around him- good, bad, and ugly. I believe that’s why Enaga had his heart and AE had his admiration.

AE and Enaga both have me shaken! I felt so sad for AE getting rejected. It was hard to watch, but then seeing Chiaki’s flashbacks of Enaga made my heart flutter. I love both personas! Enaga looked so cute and cozy in that sweater. Idc what Chiaki said, Enaga looks good in his casual outfits.

Enaga on those stairs!😍 The AE theme music playing. I got chills. This man has a presence like no other character I’ve seen written. I’m thoroughly impressed by how AE and Enaga both have such distinct personalities and characteristics. Then to see them merge together in those closing moments only for AE to fully emerge as the final boss, because he’s a CONSUMMATE supermodel who cannot be imitated or replicated, left me breathless! AE is too iconic to be mistaken. Chiaki wouldn’t be a true fan if he didn’t notice not only the walk, but the expressions, poses, and how the clothes fit his body. AE is AE. Period. It was beautiful to see him come forth.

More than being lied to, Chiaki will probably feel worse about the embarrassment because he showed his entire “behind” to both AE and Enaga, and it’s the same dude. All his tea has been spilled like the Boston Tea Party! His naive awkwardness and deep AE obsession are out in the open.😅 Who wouldn’t die a little inside? He needs to hurry up and get over it, because 24 minutes is all we’ve got next week, sadly.

The preview pretty much revealed everything, so all will end well. Chiaki indirectly tells AE to each him how to kiss, and we all know AE loves it when he acts like that based on his comments about wanting to ruin Chiaki’s innocence.😩

The hairstylist classmate was touching on that hair like, “Baby, why your hair feel like a dehydrated cosplay wig?”😭 I know AE had the funds and connections to get a Brazilian human hair lace front wig fitted for him.🥀

I read the synopsis and I deluded myself into wanting to believe Baikhaw and Tao are genuine friends to Tulip because I liked the chemistry.😂 Friendshit indeed! Namo is the cutest person ever.🥰 I can feel the depths of his affection for Tulip. He’s serious! It’s fun watching Boun switch it up and take on a different genre.💕 I like his versatility as an actor.

Cream is so cute!!! I wish they just let her be and not switch places with Cake. I just adore her!🥰

I just finished Salon De Holmes yesterday and was hoping to find something similar. Looks like I found my next watch!

A masterpiece! I don’t recall any plot holes. The writers kept the plot tight along with some fun side quests. The sisterhood and girl power depicted between the women gave the series an endearing spark. Kyeongja is the ultimate unnie! Her husband doesn’t deserve her or her sacrifice from her cop days.😩 The cases were thrilling, and the dark comedy, such as at the supermarket stickup, was hilarious. I give it all tens!

I love a corporate life drama, but I couldn’t get through the first episode on this one. Too dry and boring for my taste.

Once Ai and Enaga are privately reconciled into one person when Chiaki learns the truth, I need Ai to give us an anime villain style, lengthy explanation of who he is. As Ai, he’s very charismatic and smooth, yet clumsy and cute as Enaga (except in locker room settings where Ai manifests). Will we see both sides emerge when he’s alone with Chiaki and can be his full self? Will he take off his wig at the house but be fresh-faced without the liner and piercings? Will Chiaki’s brain melt from the overload of rizz and attractiveness multiplied and squared to the tenth power? I doubt any of this will be answered, but Ai is the most intriguing, multi-layered character I’ve seen on this side of Dramaland! This series deserves a second season of 12 episodes running 45-60 minutes each.

I’m rewatching, because I love this whole franchise. I think I rated it too low the first time because I had my own idea of what it should be based on reading the novel and watching the original series. I loved the fun of the couple initially, but with the focus on them as more than supporting characters, you see that their story is just as heavy as Dean and Parm’s. They were the relief to the trauma heavy Dean/Parm plot, but now their trauma is front and center. I don’t think I was ready for that the first go round.
