So true! His role in Monster was incredibly dark, but somehow he still had a charm and made the viewer feel sympathetic towards him during vulnerable moments, despite being a despicable character. He has wide acting range!

I came back to finish. Wang Shuo has to be in the top five of most infuriating characters! How are you mad when you chose to leave without a word and everyone has moved on when you randomly come back nearly a decade later?🤣 He’s a sociopath. I really don’t like his arc. I feel like we had enough drama and misunderstandings.😫 Why was he documenting his life like a season of Big Brother? Get a grip! Suo Wei and Chi Cheng need to develop communication skills. That’s the main problem. They have too many secrets.

Through it all, Cheng Yu is so precious.💕 He’s my favorite. He’s gentle, kind, funny, a skilled fighter, and a wiz in the kitchen. Xiao Shuai hit the jackpot!

I’m a bit lost on the dream logic. Are they saying that because Lilith connected Ramil and Punn as fate, Ramil could visit him in his dreams while trapped in the picture? How was Punn remembering Ramil’s necklace from the attack incident and being saved by him but Ramil doesn’t recall being there? Ramil entered that memory later to get answers and the very things Punn “remembered” occurred. This feels like a plot hole, but I also zone out sometimes because some of the dialogue is crazy and maybe I missed something.😅

I believe Enaga is the sanitized version of Ai. Ai as the handsy, chain-smoking model off-duty is his authentic self, and he’s got some interesting “quirks” that have slipped out when he’s with Chiaki. As Enaga, he must have been watching Chiaki for quite sometime. He’s able to play him like a fiddle, knowing Chiaki is too naive to pick up on what he’s doing. Ai has been lowering Chiaki’s inhibitions all along. He gets a high off breaching Chiaki’s boundaries. Chiaki isn’t the only one infactuated.

Now poor Chiaki is worried he did something to offend Ai because Ai ghosted him out of fear of Chiaki dropping him in both lives for deceiving him about his identity.😩 It’s hard to gauge how Chiaki will take the news. He has his principles and pride, so I don’t think his obsession with Ai will make him so easily forgiving. He’s going to feel mortified, I imagine. He acted all chic and mature with “Enaga,” but was his true awkward and vulnerable self with “Ai.” That’s enough to scream into your pillow at night and cringe so hard you disintegrate into the earth.

The episodes need to be 45 minutes each! This plot is kind of deep! There’s so much to explore. Ai alone is a case study! He’s the guy you warn, “hide your sons, hide your daughters,” about.😅 Ai is NOT that clumsy guy in a bucket hat.

I’ll be honest. I have a high standard when it comes to drama characters in romantic roles. I like seeing equally “conventionally attractive” people falling in love, not because it’s realistic but because the fantasy of drama. If I want to see regular folks be in love, I can go outside.😅 I would’ve loved to see an actor like Honda Kyoya play Chiaki. BUT the commenter above does make a strong point too. When it comes to various subcultures, many people look average. Also looking “regular” does fit the character of Chiaki. He’s shy and awkward but puts on a bold front. He’s a fashion geek. Chiaki isn’t truly punk. He cosplays and doesn’t live the lifestyle, which is the “innocence” Enaga/Ai appears to find attractive. Of course, in our dramas and films, we want to see the fantasy version of these people. Ngl, I almost skipped this one because the casting of Chiaki looked like a missed opportunity, but the story and chemistry gripped me and Chiaki is really adorable when he lets his guard down. The actor is quite great at bringing Chiaki to life. Suffice to say, the casting low-key works IMO.

The tabloid stories are episodic, but the core theme has been Shinoda reconciling with her new job. To the outsider and celebs, tabloids are dirty business, but for those who work in the field, it’s a living to put food on the table and nothing personal. The best part of episode 3 was the argument about whether the Ranger was blue, yellow, or green and Shinoda calling him Blue Ranger to his face and he was like, “I’m Yellow!!!!”🤣

This will never stop being funny to me!🤣 Idc, “Girls Girls” was a whole bop. I loved the randomness of having a kpop group in the plot. The member who spoke via text and never took off her sunglasses reminded me of 4Minute’s Jenyer when she was required to wear her sunglasses 24/7 as part of her character during debut. I always wondered if Jenyer was the inspiration.

Gong Jun is made for wuxia dramas. I’m liking this one thus far. The drama doesn’t have a romance tag, so hopefully no one rates it low because it doesn’t have what it never claimed to be.😅 With such pretty characters, I truly understand the desire to pair them up and have romantic development.💕

I’m really thinking about watching these two episodes again for the third time.🤣 The punk fashion, the dual life of a rockstar supermodel, a too-cool-for-school design student who cosplays as a punk, and glorious rock music we haven’t heard since Glass Heart. What more could you ask for?

This was adorable! I wish I didn’t binge it and savored it instead. Joo Ha was my favorite and the most likable of the characters. I wish his side plot with Kyusung had more screen time. It was strong enough to be a standalone series. The idol/manager angle isn’t one I’ve seen too much in this genre. It can go in so many directions!

The raw beef restaurant is breaking all kinds of health codes.😆 I honestly wish they got a spinoff because there’s a story here!

Punks Triangle brought me here! I can’t believe I didn’t know about this drama. I like it so far, and that opening kpop song on episode one is a bop! I love that ML is a working adult and not a student.

“Tama Yokohama.” This drama is truly the best of both worlds.💕 The fact that his biggest fan is fooled by a high sitting wig and bucket hat has me in tears.🤣 There’s no way I wouldn’t recognize my girl Adriana Lima on her worst day!

Risa-Pisa is impressing me! She has gotten her chess pieces in order since the first episode. Risa is not that throw-away peacemaker sibling with no stakes in the game who just wants everyone to get along. She’s making moves, and I think she’s allying with Pheem for now until she can make her move for the crown. Her bodyguard is back in Lara Croft mode and I love it! Never change!

Pheem is something else! Jason got scammed by him and he’s trying to be with him even though he’s still mad about being scammed.🤣 He’s slick himself. Poor Than had to see another man stake a claim on Pheem and then watch Pheem leave with him.😭 Pheem is the guy that has the brokenhearted crying in the rain on his doorstep wishing they had one more chance even though they got ruined by their whirlwind romance.

I hope Chet and Park have some lighter moments together. Their life is stressful. How about a nice dinner and a movie? I know Park can cook. Chet probably just needs a home-cooked meal and a pat on his head while telling him he did his best. His parents messed him up.

Chett always goes soft on our man, Park. I see right through it!

Mikuri is the most adorable FL! I just love her sense of spirit. Aunt Yuri is everything! I had this drama on the back burner because I was so over contract marriage tropes, but the reviews convinced me otherwise. It’s social commentary with a comedic edge rather than a silly rom-com pushing antiquated ideals. I’m glad I started watching it!

The scam calls are hilarious! Although there’s a slice of life vibe to the series, episode 2 has begun to heat up the plot. It appears Aoi have an interesting story to track down, and I’m loving the mystery surrounding it. There’s also something up with both Kengo and the older, gray-haired co-worker. I feel like they each have some sort of secret or motive.

I’m watching Gakusen S2 for the first time, and Haruma was such a show stealer.💕What a talent. Enough time has passed where I feel joy and nostalgia when I watch his work. It was too hard before. I hope he’s resting peacefully.🥰
