The problem is they basically started having missing scenes with ep 9 (there was supposed to be the aftermath of the kiss). At that point, they still have 6 weeks of tv slots and ads/promotions already paid for. Taking an hiatus of unknown length means losing a good amount of money. Money that they may not have spare to pay for tv slots again once this corvid-19 is over, since this is a small studio. Their least expensive plan is the current one, which is to patch together what they can, then film just one extra episode to correct what they can't, since it is cheaper to pay for just one tv slot compared to 6.

I don't blame them for forcibly continuing the season, from what I heard, they paid for the time slot and would have lost a lot of money otherwise to just take a (long) hiatus. But knowing that, and knowing probably by ep 6 or 7 that there is zero chance of filming the remaining scenes, their current plan is understandably their only course of action. At that point, they should have the statement prepared for ep 8 to head off the complaints, since it was obvious by ep 9 and teaser for ep 10 that something is wrong.

Instead, we got tweets from the director that there was supposed to be the SaifahZon kiss aftermath scene that they ran out of time to film. The way the tweet was worded give the impression that they ran out of time to film and edit, but that 1) the scene will be added in the next episode, and that 2) this was an one-off situation and the remaining episodes would be fine. This is why a statement as early as possible is best, as it prevent false expectation to be set.

It is basically something they threw together to buy themselves more time to edit the remaining episodes to be more coherent. With a fair number of missing scenes, but finished finale episode, it is a question of trying to patch together the holes so everything still make sense. I assume there is a lot of digging through old and/or discarded footage to see if they can still patch together the scene they want.

Completely agree with everything you said. My main criticism for the current situation is that the statement from the show should have came out much earlier, like after ep 8. By that point, production has already shutdown and they should be aware that corvid-19 is not going away any time soon. At that point, they should have some kind of statement out already to temper everyone's expectation for the next two episodes. If nothing else, it would have blunt a lot of criticism and reduce a lot of speculations by the fans. By basically saying nothing for weeks, they allowed the fan base to simmer for weeks, until it basically boiled over.

Basically, the outcome (the plan for the rest of the season) is understandable, but the process to get there could be improved.

It is getting a lot of hype. It is also currently airing, so that help keep it on people's mind when they vote. SOTUS is getting old, so it may not be the first few BL shows that a newbie would watch.

I think the better question is why is WRU so far back when both shows are currently airing and getting decent hype?

From what I heard, the show was originally supposed to air in mid-2020, after filming is completed. However, the network had a slot in early 2020 open up and they offered it to the show. Assuming they can finish filming as the show aired, the show agreed to the move. If it isn't for the corvid19 shutdown, the show probably would have been able to finish successfully, but corvid19 ruined everyone's plans.

Part of me want another season, part of me don't. After all, another season usually mean more conflicts to create drama, and I don't want that for Tine/Sarawat

The special SaiZon episode won't even be filmed until after corvid-19 (since it consist of scenes that they weren't able to film before the virus shutdown production). Adding in time to actually edit the special episodes as well, don't expect it to come any time soon. Late summer at the earliest?

The thing is, they already did BTS episodes on the official WHYRU Channel on youtube for the first 5 episodes already, so the material they have on hand to turn into an extra BTS episode is limited. I do wish they added some more BTS scenes from ep 6-7 though.

I think there is still ton of story to tell. This is just a very tentative first step, so I don't think they will actually be in a full on relationship for a few more episodes. At the same time, the development of the side couples can also throw a few wrenches into Tine/Sarawat. We already seen the case of Mil, and I can see Man/Type being an issue as well if Type's relationship to Tine is kept.

It is hard to say how bad Dim is for Green. After all, we know Green exaggerate a lot. ie. a 2 min breakup is equated as a permanent breakup. While Dim was a bit physical with Tine, Tine did just punch him in the face just now, so it is a little understandable.

I heard that the novel had some rather problematic things, so I am glad if they diverge from it. Not to mention, what happen in the book may not translate very well to the screen, so I can see diverging as a good thing

By the time that ep8 aired, they should already be aware that even if they could get started filming instantly, there is no way to finish filming and editing by ep9 the next week. By that point, they should have some kind of statement prepared.

Anyway, the timing of the statement release is a pretty small thing in the grand scheme of things anyway.

That is so stupid. I am extremely disappointed about how corvid-19 affected SaifahZon (which is my favourite pairing on the show), but I understand that this is out of the show's control. Safety is obviously the most important thing, everything else is secondary. The only thing I wished for is a earlier release of the statement (like after ep8) so SaifahZon fans could adjust their expectations going forward, instead of doing it in a way that encouraged massive amount of speculations.

Well, they will still finish the series, but it will focus a lot more on FighterTutor. As long as you like that couple, you should be fine. For SaifahZon fans, keep expectation low and wait patiently for the special episode when it eventually get made. For fans of the other side couples, hope for a season 2?

Yah, the fact that it is 4 episodes definitely influence the pace of the story a lot. I kind of wish that ep1-3 was stretch to the full 4 episodes, slowing the pace a little. It looks like ep4 is just mostly loving with each other, which while nice, could be done in the background in the other 8 episodes.

Best hope is that this get popular enough for a second season. Since they already finished filming and with corvid19, they are definitely not filming additional episodes for this season.

I like Bright and Win, but this video is setting really bad example for social distancing. That barrier seem to only block the table area, but if they even lean back slightly, they can face each other without a barrier. Also, they really shouldn't be doing promotion together at this time. I love these two, but I feel it is really irresponsible of GMMTV to send them out together to do promotions for a show that is already really popular.

The only way sending out together on promotions would be acceptable is if they both live together, so the risk of corvid19 is the same. Since as far as I know, this isn't the case, GMMTV should not be doing this.
