How could these ministers be so ruthless!? Poor Zang Hai. He finally got to meet his Uncle Ji😢. I cried a lot in this episode. 😭😭😭😭Edit: I feel VERY satisfied when Yan Zheng had to go inside the royal tomb.

Reached yet another milestone!

Our girl Wan'er made it to the next level~ (^_^) Having received the title of a 'Princess', she will now be a legitimate member of high nobility just like her lover Yan Chi. Squid Game's glass bridge (kinda) in ancient China? XD

Oh my god. This is too addictive! After watching the Squid Game saga and coming across different cases in Coroner's Diary (still airing), this C-drama is going to be another eye-opener for me. Why didn't I pick this up earlier!? X3The tomb escape reminds me of the Squid Games (glass bridge); one wrong step and you'd be a goner. Ooooh~ SO THRILLING!

A start of a gripping tale

It was so heartbreaking to watch Zang Hai's whole family and close friends die at the hands of the ruthless Duke Ping Jin. I'm happy to see Michelle Chen again in a historical drama, although it's a guest role. I've liked her since the 'The Romance of Condor Heroes' and 'The Legend of Qin' era. The child actors and actresses did very well despite their tender ages, too.

No one can underestimate the CD power couple in which one's a thorough coroner and doctor, while the other is a prince-charming investigator.[Yan Chi + Shen Wan = a force to be reckoned with]

I was worried when the uncle figure called Qin Wan out. Thank god he still hasn't voiced out his true intentions to her, instead, asked her to take on a murder case. Fast forward, it was delightful to watch the initial coroner changed his attitude towards Qin Wan. He wasn't impressed with her from first meeting, but then quickly gave her his respect after seeing our FL's thorough actions towards the autopsy. I'm so proud of her~ (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠)✨

New case, new beginnings

So this time, the new case will take place in the snowy mountains and a dreary mansion. In the last scene, Qin Wan and her senior brother went to visit their eldest senior brother's wife. Seeing the wife lying on the bed with a thick blanket on top, the scene somehow reminds me of [Kingdom], the Korean zombie series.

Cliffhanger!!!

Nooo, not the cliffhanger! I've always thought certain people in the Qin family have hidden agendas, and now my doubts have been confirmed. That man is delusional, too. Does he think he's doing the right thing by lending a hand in the criminal acts!?On the other hand, our girl Wan'er is not to be overlooked just because she has a pretty face. She's got the guts to pierce that huge needle to throw up a confession (yes, she's skilled with needles, and in that scene, she deliberately made him feel the pain).

The first case was borne from betrayal and greed. Now the second case emerged with yet another heart-breaking and heinous acts. May all those poor souls rest in peace...
