My jaw dropped about halfway through your explanantion and managed to acheive new levels of droppage by the time I was through. The chaos gave me whiplash just reading about it second hand, I can only imagine your pain while actually watching this live lol.

Yeah, I can maybe go for any one of these tropes indiviudally, depending on my mood, but this melting pot of everything at once doesn't work for me. I think I'll give this one a skip.

In his defense, he was:
1) very young
2) introverted
3) somewhat socially akward
4) insecure
5) lonely
6) probably shocked at finding himself attracted to a man

To top it all off, he'd seen multiple times how his bf was responding and acting with another man whom he called "friend." That led to added insecurity. The phone call really stirred him up. Then he followed his bf and saw "confirmation" of a romantic relationship between his bf and said "friend."

Be kind to him. His heart was broken and he simply didn't know how, or have the proper tools, to resolve it from a place of confidence, self respect and maturity bc he was sadly severly lacking in them all.
