Disliking a show and its characters is perfectly normal. As for the toxicity part, they are not real, if your morals completely depend on fictional show its characters and if they upset you to the point of affecting your real life and choices, no offense but I recommend you to talk about it to someone professional.

They have a weird obsession with asian content where they keep putting it down for being "morally wrong, not living up to western standards" Especially asian lgbt content and everyone involved in creating it, when it's not even made for them.
They also keep treating Japan as a weirdo country where people must be educated. So we are dealing with western racists with no reading comprehension and who can't understand that cartoons and drama characters aren't real

They read that word on some post on twitter and started parroting it without understanding what they're saying. They couldn't care less about the cultural particularities and realities of life of the authors. For a example, in China conversion therapy is still very legal. Can everyone afford to reveal their sexuality, real name and gender identity without running their lives? And even if they are straight women writing about non straight romance is that a taboo deserving death threats?

Funnily enough it's the Asian side that's releasing a huge variety of LGBT content like the Untamed, Cherry Maho, Handmaiden - Korean adaptation, I told sunset about you. Some of such works are comedies, some are plot focused stories that happen to have gay leads, but they aren't only about the romance. I've never seen in western shows or movies. Gay characters are either side characters, or dead or both! Or they suffer and die. Very progressive indeed.
Even one of the most famous gay characters - Dumbledore, never displays his affection towards same sex on the screen.
