I have heard about the protest yeah... I've never paid attention to it but somehow this year even where I'm from a lot of it has come to light how harsh things are rn. I think it's especially shocking how contrasting it can feel. In so many ways Korea has made itself really known and important in Western culture making it look really progressive, but they are still extremely traditional. It's easy to forget sometimes :(

Yeah on the straight version it had always been text messages. but here I am more so distracted on how many pairs of shoes came out of the last guys suitcase when he probably only has 4 days left xD

I hope so. I'm a little confused as to how they decide how many episode will be coming out. 2 & 3 were also out on the same day, but the other times it has been just 1... kinda odd

I'm okay with critiquing the company for dropping the ball (I think mostly their editing since we don't get to see any interactions where the guys on the show have indicated a lot more went on off camera) So I get that point. As long as we don't channel that into talking 1 specific person down ;)

Truth. Oh things are gonna get soooooo messy if they really switch up the rooms next ep and some of our heart broken puppies might end up sharing a room with their crush like ooff this one might hurt for real for real

I think the reason people bring up that this isn't a BL drama is because you are directly commenting on an actual human being, being themselves. Chang Min didn't choose to be the center of attention, so to bash on him for being the one that other people choose is kinda odd.
Korea is a lot more conscious of their image so people tend to refrain from being a caricature even in reality shows.

From what I've seen growing up with Korean shows, Korea is a lot more muted in their reality shows. It's not outlandish and loud like American or British television imo

We share a baby ! I need my baby to be okay. It made me feel so sad when Seon Yul pulled him aside to tell him to flirt less, but when he gets a call from Chan Gyu he goes in for the flirts and jokes himself - . - At least Hyeon Jeon had the guts to make sure that Eun Chan knew he had no interest in him. He tried to stay polite, but the message was clear nonetheless.

I love that XD It just shows how people have different watching experiences. Chan Gyu's call was the most obvious one for me, but Hyeok jeon's call really came out of nowhere for me. I was baffled :# He basically rejected 2 guys in one go with that call

I agree, everyone seemed to think that Chan Gyu and Seon Yul were crushing on each other but we didn't get to see any of that outside of that 1 date they had. It makes me feel like all the social moments where they hang out are super important to see the relationships develop, but they were all cut out.

This whole episode was just doing the calls :/ I wish there was more, I want to see them just have fun and socialize to see the dynamic between people a bit more..

I didn't think he would pick Eun Chan since his reaction after he made his call said it all. He knew immediately from that one call that his feelings weren't reciprocated. BUT that being said, I was flooreddddd when Hyeok Jeon called Chang Min... I did not see that one coming AT ALL

Attractiveness is all based on personal preference. There are a LOT of handsome people that I don't find attractive and at the same time a lot of people that others probably find average that I go crazy over. These are people, not characters so please be mindful about judging who should and should not be desirable based upon your own biases
Real life is just kinda boring, if you want drama than other shows might suit you better..

I'd recommend watching 'innocent' & 'I told sunset about you' those both have 4 /5 episodes. They are more slice of life and less fluffy but it shows what potential there is with a similar amount of airtime :) (I think that's why shows like these are falling behind, a couple years ago this probably would have been fine since there weren't that many shows to begin with. ) But nonetheless if you enjoyed yourself that's all that matters really!

And then to realize that shows like 'I told sunset about you' have the same amount of episodes... I think even cut down to 30 minutes they would've done an amazing job because they had a story they wanted to tell, It's painfully obvious when the show itself doesn't have anything to say. I don't even think there was a storyline tbh :/, it's just different couple tropes thrown together without any story surrounding them. As a writer I can see what they did and it's pretty disappointing. This is basically what my notes look like when I come up with different character blue prints for various stories I'd like to write, but instead of turning it into a story they just showed us their notes and called it a day.

I ended up not watching this one, for 2 simple reasons.
1. I spoiled myself and know that the problems that arise aren't things I enjoy watching personally. (I finished the first ep and it made the main conflict already pretty obvious)
2. This is probably the most important reason. I loved 'I told sunset about you'. It felt lyrical and almost like a dance between our leads. It felt poetic and nostalgic all at once. But I'm not gonna lie, 5 minutes into watching the sequel something felt off about the way it was filmed. I'm usually pretty bad at telling when a show got a new director, but with this one it was so strikingly clear. I don't know if it's because I've just seen so many things that I'm able to tell the difference better now or if it really is just that different from the original. I wish I was exaggerating with the 5 minutes thing, but I am not kidding when I'm saying he hadn't even arrived at his new dorm yet when I noticed it. It's not that it was bad, don't get me wrong. It felt like any other show vibe wise, but it took away everything that made the original so special and different. I've seen A LOT of bl's and only a handful managed to be as intimate and poetic as I told sunset about you without being depended on the dialogue to get that energy across. It wasn't in the words, it was all in the movements and directing. It really made for such a unique and beautiful experience.

that scene at the boxing match made me realize how they rarely if ever kiss in front of others in bl's.. It's always a thing that they hide so I really appreciate the public affection

I don't know, i think the little brother and the other debt collectors definitely could've been cut out since they added literally nothing to the story. But somehow the boxing couple had more chemistry for me than our main. Purely because they at least liked each other before the last episode x/ had the accidental kiss been in episode 4 they would have been able to build off of that even though I'm not the biggest fan of that trope specifically..
