A very good article which explains why and how this film failed: https://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/news/2025-08-16/entertainment/movies/NotsoOminscient-production-shows-webtoon-adaptation-success-hinges-on-fandom/2373974"What…
I see outrageous insults against other users in this page but the moderators are lazy and decided this moderation business is not so much fun after all. Will they return from the beach, nah.
"What matters to a fandom is not legal ownership, but the “emotional equity” built over years of laughing, crying and growing with a work. This goes beyond the joy of consumption — it includes the time spent watching characters develop, the communities formed through world-building analysis and discussion and creative contributions that expand the universe through fan works. Fans will cheer for expansions of the story, but if the world and message they helped build are harmed, they will not accept it."
It's good to look at the bigger picture instead of spilling insults.
5-6 years together... that was quite serius relationship... no some kind of one night stand...
Kim Soo-hyun’s management agency said that the relationship took place between 2019 and 2020, when Kim Sae-ron was legally an adult. One and a half years.
Stop defending him, it's been a while since the victim's family made public WhatsApp conversations of him flirting…
yep, Whatsapp conversations...lol picture taken with I-phone that was not yet in the market at the time it was claimed to be taken etc. family could have made their accusations and gone to court while daughter was still alive and you do not ask yourself why they didn't? family lost their only source of income, daughter, attempted blackmail. which went terribly wrong as a well known fraudster youtuber took to blowing up their case for the purposes of his political campaign. fraudster had lost his job in a mainstream news channel as he got caught of fabricating evidence. fraudster is facing more than 7 different lawsuits for lies and defamation. one of them concerns lying about the past of the current president. fraudster had a big role in defaming the late actor Lee Sun Kyun and driving him to suicide. family did not know daughter was married. or who had paid daughter's rent deposit. daughter had just got home from her new US husband 2 days ago when she killed herself. was knee deep in debt, had destroyed her career and was supposed to move to a more humble place the very next day.
the court will weigh the evidence. not Knetz killer klowns. as for the age gap, right or wrong depends on what you've seen in and of real life. not a crime punishable by law daughter had been put in adult sexual world since she was a 9 year old kid via the type of movies she was in. KSH was not her first adult influential boyfriend.
the defending concerns not just KSH but is a bigger movement demanding justice in media. your k-dramaworld is financially on shaky grounds as long as cyberwreckers can sink actors and productions at a whim.
the SK cancel culture is like a primitive voodoo cult. even the smallest crimes and rumours which may or may not be true will lead to an editing-out. which is pretty much de facto murder as we have seen too many times already. Mentally it's near impossible to rise back from there. everyday that KSH stays alive still is a victory and relief and a small miracle. destroyed on shaky grounds. all we ask is that this is the case that will change the whole reckless inhumane SK treatment of actors. it's deeply shocking.
"Just a reminder that it was proven that Kim Soohyun made Kim Saeron come to his house at 11pm to cook him…
How many people were present? Who made the invitation? What was the occasion? Who cooked and why?
I remember a whole different story about the chicken stew gathering. We get to pick between two different versions, neither of which may be true. Regardless of what we want to true.
Truth is sticky, in the end our wants and needs will not suffice to erase it.
Just a side note: profile names...are revealing. always.
When the truth behind actors' scandals becomes the story… viewers begin to look away.https://x.com/Londonvoting2/status/1952721048916414865K‑dramas…
Wise words. This really hits home. The Korean media still thinks the Hallyu wave is sailing ahead successfully and intact. But the international audience has woken up to the fact the k-dramaworld isn't all fun and roses but behind the scenes is a ruthless exploitation system. The actors who bring us so much joy are put on a pedestal. Only to be in constant danger of being shot down via manufactured scandals and controversies. Any rumour or anonymous posting can lead to cancellation and the verdict is final. Actors' reputations will forever be tainted even if causes of cancellation turn out to be false. For many k-drama supporters and enthusiasts, the emotional tie has been severed. Now we are not just watchers or followers but actively demanding humane treatment for the actors. The k-bullying culture now seems too all too concrete and real and we are disgusted.
Seeing today’s heartbreaking news about Song Young Kyu, I sincerely hope it wasn’t a consequence of the anxiety…
Indeed heartbreaking to the max. He was cancelled by editing him off the already filmed dramas. And he was severely affected by malicious online hate comments.
That the production companies today had to explain about the editing seems to hint that people are not viewing the editing-off as humane. However, these statements from the production companies about the editing are very unclear.
wait why are u sending this here instead of under Gong Yoo
Related case. People have been committing similar crimes here, the worst of them asking KSH to die. They can no longer trust that it is safe to post malicious comments and unverified claims under anonymity. Most of us speaking out here are not fans but. Quoting Sombrero, we
"individuals who felt the need to highlight a situation that has clearly spiraled out of control.
Because what's happening now is no longer about an actor or a celebrity. It's about defamation fueled by personal frustration, coming from people who have achieved nothing, yet are the first to throw stones. You don't have to be a fan to recognize injustice, You just have to be human."
They asked admins to remove you on the Spam thread of the Support forum. These types of attempts to involve admins in user warfare are distasteful to me, to the max. The spam thread is only for spamming reports and that's why the comments are now removed .
Cut your crap..! if a woman is not interested.., then it "MEANS" she is not interested..! if a woman said…
Please keep things kind and civil. Ivy meant that stalking happens in real life, therefore, having a character like that is for the purposes of a drama having dramatic-ness.
Everything you've said is understandable and your view is justified. You haven't slandered the actors. A director is reponsible for his movie, that much should be clear. People want this page to be something else than a criticism and commenting forum. That does not sit well with me. Even though I've not read the work or watched the movie, I noticed the attempt to silence critics (on one of support forums). I've reported some of these this morning. Hope the moderators start paying attention.

It seems we can do nothing about the trend. Which eventually means that reading or writing comments becomes pointless altogether.
It seems we can do nothing about the trend. But I wholly agree with you. "There's only one correct rating and it's mine" is the prevailing mindset.
Which means that looking at ratings or reading comments becomes pointless altogether. (Personally I don't care about ratings at all).
Here's a another good discussion on the rating mania: https://kisskh.at/discussions/suggestions/143718-hiding-or-removing-rating-from-airing-dramas
I wish this site worked like Douban, which only lets people rate after the drama has finished airing.
