SPOILER in order not to turn people off. TO HATERS keep your wordings for yourself. They won't reach me. TO OTHERS happy Cdrama watching.
My first 3 episodes of this Cdrama hoping to get the vibe of a Republican era story not with so much romance and as a cherry on top with an AI opening...TTT (there are already too many AI Cmovies taking the web by the storm). Looks more like a romantic-revenge disguised in amazing Republican wardrobe to lure viewing in. Good try to promote the same trending actors/actresses. Hope they stay safe and healthy. Shall wait for its completion in case its direction takes an interesting turn. In the meantime, shall stick to my plan-to-watch list of convincing Republican era Cdramas.
I've found this movie on You**be I've searched carefully but couldn't find if it is an AI generated content. Actors are from the drama version. But no title related to the drama version. If you have an idea of the authenticity, I would appreciate your take on this. If you think that it is an AI generated, I won't watch it. Hope my comment reaches you. The link is :
Sick mother playing the victim. Cdramaland will give her a dignified exit. Cdramaland child actors are amazing. I play and replay Xiao Bao's scenes non stop. Womankind at another level. Tu Li great grown up character. He Rui Xian very steady into her acting. Another great episode. This 25th is no exception. Every episode has unseen details. The passing of years during a walk in the city. Time slip with bird droppings. Time slip with a calendar and time on the windshield. Kitchen untouched like unfinished sketches. All is still. All is waiting for her. All is longing.
AI... SHAME on whichever actors/actresses allowing to be used for AI content ! To be banned ! I have so many old Cdramas waiting on my To Watch List for the next 5 years.
I said it that she'll be back like a zombie. Does she have an illness ? At this 24th episode SURPRISE she appears once again. I give her the Grammy Award 2026 for the Absolute Vanishing Mother before she announces her bad news. Well written script and we all fall for it. Yes, she is the victim.
On a better note: I love the pace of this story. I love the camera playing with whatever the insignificant objects we take for granted in our daily life. I love the takes on trivial but not so trivial props such as the ticking of the clock, the dripping old faucet, the light through the not well fixed door frame, the banging window in hot weather, the light filtering through the uneven set of curtains, the longing of the slippers at the entrance, the night shades taking over the day shades like a to and fro conversation. I am enjoying it all.
Episode 23, in order to protect Chen Yi, Miao Jing has decided to move out. So, the script took the viewers into Loveland and abruptly throw us on the side walk, just like that.
Peter Ho : what a shallenge he took in embodying this character ! Hats off ! Prince Qi knowing that he is not the real prince will fight head on with the real prince - Xiao Wu Yi. Jia Yu is in danger and this from all sides. Fortunately she is warming up to Xiao Wu Yi. Caughing Emperor, comfortably hiding behind his curtains, has indeed his informers. He must know Xiao Wu Yi's real identity. But this almighty has to keep Wu Yi vs Prince Qi in check to balance his power. Oh my...Oh ..my ! Innocent Li Le Jun suddenly turning evil in order to keep her "Ge Ge/Prince Qi" safe. Backstabbing left/right and cleaning her Ge Ge's path. Does she have "feelings" for him now ?
I am not pulling my hair to remember names anymore, the Cui, the Li, the Xie and so on. They are all fu*ked up. What a mess !
Tell me about that 😭 I need to take a minute or two before switching dramas to separate all the details. I'm…
Welcome to the club | And both have so many flaws and tropes...so many. So, don't ask me why I enjoy spending the best hours of my Summer watching them. I love costume Cdramas for their stunning horses, their wardrobes, their silly nonsenses, their flying up in the air like real acrobats, their soft landing cape on the FL shoulders, their "You look thinner" just after a short parting, their incognito-fanning-cast blowing the main leads' hair, their too many vilains, their solid carriages hanging on the edge of clifs, their flawless sunsets and sunrises, their fireflies in our poluted atmospher, their sudden storms, their catching a lil cold, their ingeneous props, and...and the passionate comments of the viewers here.
