Thinking of re-watching Autumn's Concerto this weekend and can I just say, I watched this in 2010 in crap quality and now it's hd on Netflix, oh how the times have changed.
Okay now I have finished it and honestly I can forgive everything but her sleeping with him, I really don't understand why the writer didn't just separate them like they did anyway like most dramas until they eventually overcome it in the end without having her sleep with Ken, there was no reason for it at all, and made me unable to support them getting back together but I do appreciate the ending and it did make me slightly less angry, how they met again 3 years later, she really needed that 3 years to become more mature and she really understood the mistake she made so maybe I can forgive her but I can't forgive the writer lol. I did like how they ended it like how they met in episode 1 showing a new beginning, I seen some say they didn't show whether they ended up together or not but I think they did, that's what the ending was meant to signify, she grew up and then they met like how they did 3 years ago, starting anew.
I kept watching it, and Hiroko is one dumb ass b*tch, seriously lol. I actually liked her at the beginning, how sweet and bubbly she was, I like that but as the episodes go by her insecurities and jealousy get in the way of whatever her character was, by one point she was having different misunderstandings every 10 minutes, none of which was Kohji's fault, he cleared or tried to clear them all up each time but she would cry or run away without giving him a chance, the fault is entirely hers and she sleeps with her friend just to get back at him for not saying he loves her? get the hell out of here, I have 2 episodes left and I hope as hell he doesn't forgive her, poor Kohji, people betraying him all his life, the bottom line was Hiroko is far too immature to even be in a relationship, she acts the way a 14-15 year old might act and the girl had some nerve, she kept suspecting Kohji of having something with someone from his past when really she is the one that did what she was suspecting him of doing. When all this is over Kohji is the only one I'll feel bad for, and what a shame, this was such a beautiful premise but was ruined by lack of a good plot from episode 9 onward.
I'M ON EPISODE 4 AND I WAS LOVING THIS UNTIL I READ THE COMMENTS NOW I AM SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY what the hell is that ending? I liked her character so far I can't believe she would just sleep with her friend to get back at him even though he didn't even do anything wrong? I've been mostly re-watching old favs lately since I'm in a drama rut and can't find any new dramas, I thought i found this, I should have known it was too good to be true, sigh, I still want to continue though.
am I the only one who knew that they were going to break up a lot? from the first ep I already saw it comming.…
I think the same. I actually love that they end up talking things out rather then it just piling up as misunderstanding after misunderstanding like most dramas, it's refreshing.
Does anyone have any idea what the other option was? his mother said if the person is sincere there is another option and it gave Haruka some hope that they could be together again so I'm wondering what it was? unless i missed it I don't think they told us.
I still feel like they are using the Cruel Intentions film as well as the book, the vibes and similar scenes to the movie, so if that's the case they could have an ending like the movie, i probably think they'll do their own ending but the ending like the film already has a good set up, for example the bet of Soo Ji getting his car and the car belonging to his mother, so him dying and Eun Tae getting his car that belonged to his mother. Like I said they might do their own ending that's not the book or movie but the move ending does have a good set up.
exactly like... do people realize she just decided to meddle with other people's lives out of her own interest?…
Exactly totally agree, only Shi Hyun is showing any remorse in it, Soo Ji does not care who she hurts at all as long as she can get what she wants, and like you said the trio is built on manipulation which is fine since that's how the story is meant to be but people shouldn't be defending it. Seeing how popular Soo Ji is, I'm assuming people like the actress so they're automatically liking her character.
Seeing people defending Soo Ji's character lol she may not be as evil as her original character (not yet anyway) but she is still messing with and possibly ruining lives just because she feels like it, highly selfish and thinks the world should revolve around her. I highly dislike her.
Enjoying this, only complaint is that I wish it was more mature like the original story but it went for a teen drama style but it's not that big a deal.
The characters so far are not nearly as cruel as the original, I'm guessing the second lead female will turn quite wicked but I wonder will they make her eventually be as evil as she is meant to be. Probably not as Koreans are too conservative.
