So instead of being helpful in any way they just chastise him? I can't condone drug abuse but to pretend that he alone is to blame for everything and to portray him as the scapegoat.... I wanna puke! This SO much feels like a "typical" Korean reaction again. One person did something bad, seemingly only involving themselves, "doctors" (do they even have morals?!) didn't care because of cash, more drug abuse probably of depression as well....BOOM! Cocktail for disaster and the media LOVES to jump onto the train of "BURN THE WITCH!". I just don't know if I'll be able to watch this show now.
That's one hell of a post to say that you didn't like the first episode.
I found it quite understandable and it helped me make up my mind. All shows are about personal taste/preferences so...I think this review for the first episode is quite valid. And @OP: I just looked at you watchlist. You might like The Devil Judge ^^.
The first episode was okay but this will need to get better if I have to watch 7 other episodes. Also idk what…
I would have been super confused if I had watched that. Somehow the trailer was giving me "this will be meh"-vibes thus I'll probably not watch this show :/.
Hm...I was already a bit "suspicious" at ep 6 but ep 7 might have been the last for me. The show went from "kinda cute" to "quite annoying" for me. I was already bothered by the assistant as in "why does such a character need to be there?". Portraying women as the bad antagonist in quite a lot of Taiwanese BL is actually maddening. The overall behaviour of every character is just very dull and not taking me anywhere. It's just lacking substance. For now all three of these shows weren't to my liking and I I think all of them will be a drop for me :/.
So we have another liar? Why telling lies about something as a relationship? I'm still kinda vibing with the show but....ugh! Why giving the viewers lies?
I know this is gonna leave me crying and shi*! Taiwan is coming in strong this year with BLs. It's always a pleasure…
It's not a Taiwanese story though. Priest is an author from China. But I am really glad that Taiwan picked it up. This way we don't have to fear that Chinese government will be going all mad again.
Sooo....another show? This last scene was similar to what we had in Big Dragon. So will this be a different show but same characters or will it be a second season. Hope this won't get dropped after a while. Would be nice to see all the characters again ^^. And Phaya wearing his police uniform + his abilities? Looking GOOD! π
Glad MDL finally fixed the rating. I can see why people who liked I Will Knock You may like this, but it feels…
I think all countries have their strengths and weaknesses. A lot of shows annoy me because of overused tropes (overly silly character, not talking things out, love triangle). If it's executed properly, I don't care too much but this specific show was just very weak and I couldn't even finish ep 1. After I saw that it's the same screenwriter as for I Will Knock You, I was sure that I won't finish this show. Thailand has some great productions but it has to learn that producing shows like pancakes won't result in good quality. I won't waste my time on shows that just don't stick to me.
I find the comments about her age extremely weird. How is a 24 year-old woman supposed to look like? Even now people tell me that I don't look my age... Congrats, I guess?
I feel the same about the characters in kbls π. I haven't been able to get into them because of this... However,…
I've watched that one as well and also liked it much better than this one. There still are some KBLs that I like (Semantic Error eventually convinced me that BL with real actors is actually great ^^). But many shows are just a letdown. I wish there'd be more which weren't based on a manhwa or novel.
I wanna thank the fans who were able to snatch all episodes before they were taken down. I saw that so many episodes have already been subbed and I can't imagine how much time and effort this must have cost. I am extremely grateful that thanks to these fans, we all are able to enjoy this show! I got even so more curious when I read that it had been uploaded and then taken down twice. It shows once again how vile the Ch!ne$e government is. I seriously hope that we can support the actors, directors, art and fashion designers, make-up artists and anybody else who was involved in this show, in one way or the other. But once again: thank you SO much to everybody who made this possible! ππ±βπ€
I was the exact same,,,, but ive got one more ep now to catch up on and its deffo picked up for me
I somehow made it through ep 2 and with your words in mind, I'll continue. I really like Ta and I wanna see Barcode again...crossing my fingers that I will kinda like it as well.
I'm at ep 2 and by now wish that Top was dead already. His continuous crying about a ghost and squeaking around... Is this show supposed to be scary or annoying? At least this overacting makes me feel the latter and I really hope that it'll get better.
Just bumping right in because I thought that I should finally catch up. I'm at about 16:50 mins in ep 1 and I really dig the song in the background while they're playing Jenga. Can anybody help me out which song this is?
Maybe I'm just not made for this type of romances. I'm seriously getting annoyed when characters stay silent and most of the time, I see that in Korean shows. Thus I wonder if that's a Korean habit? KBL sadly disappoint me quite often. This one wasn't super bad but sadly a bit boring for me. The actors had good chemistry and their acting was great as well. But I felt like falling asleep myself towards the end. I don't expect them to invent the wheel anew but...please give me a bit more substance!
And @OP: I just looked at you watchlist. You might like The Devil Judge ^^.
And post credit scenes made me curious as well. Either second season or a different show ^^. But Phaya in police uniform + wings is π₯π₯π₯
Edit: Just read from another person that there will be a special episode :)
About the story itself, I found it a bit dull and for a movie of 2018 a bit too clichΓ© laden. The overly worrisome parents of Tsugumi gave me the feeling that a woman can never take care of herself. It's already bad if she lives all by herself and GOSH is it bad when she has a partner that is disabled. That's the impression that I got and I think even though Japan is a conservative country, it already changed. I understood Itsuki's mother but I really struggled to get through this movie after a bit less than half of it was left.
But once again: thank you SO much to everybody who made this possible! ππ±βπ€
