I loved The Glory and rewatched it because I felt I had missed details. The second viewing was even better, and I filled in the gaps. It kept appearing in recommendations for upcoming dramas, so I decided to watch it again.
I noticed small clues, shifts in behaviour, and emotional moments I had overlooked. The writing and performances stood out more clearly. The story builds slowly, and the payoff feels earned.
I do not think these two dramas are the same or even especially similar. The only similarity may be the concept. The execution, tone, pacing, and characters are very different. Each has its own identity and way of telling a story.
I would not dwell on comparisons, since both are great dramas in their own right. I would not want to take anything away from either. Spring of Blade has its own charm, and so does The Glory.
What I appreciate most about The Glory is how many characters are complicated, and their choices are understandable even when hard to support. The tension lasts, and the emotional weight stays with you. I would say there was much healing are the revenge.
Spring of Blade has a different energy. It may share a broad idea, but its rhythm, relationships, and visual style create a separate experience. Both dramas can be loved for what they are.
