I kinda knew the minute Netflix and other non-Asian networks got interested in playing kdramas because we’ve made it popular internationally, it was gonna go downhill from there….. sadly. Now they are polluting historical dramas too.

There’s an operative word there that is “historical”.

It’s important to ask questions first to understand where I’m coming from.

When did nudity become prevalent in Kdramas vs in US/Europe?

It’s really sad. Especially now that they are tainting historical dramas too.

I started watching historical cdramas because of this, they are doing better in this regard. You just imagine things yourself after the dead fish kiss😂

I think also, we as audience have no respect for actors. We forget they are not really the characters but acting and don’t have to sell their soul to us by showing off their bodies.

Nudity was really unnecessary. SK is becoming more and more western lately, even in historicals now😱

It’s annoying, as it’s something some of us became their viewers for something different and meaningful without selling the story with nudity/X rated content.

I do think this was a big mistake done by the production team. I don’t think they will get the response they expect.
