I thought I was the only one who couldn’t watch that drama, even for ML. But everyone on here seemed to love it while it was airing.

It felt lonely to watch without comments or a conversation that’s ongoing, but I’m also glad as I got to form my own opinion.

They were so young here and look more real as there is less makeup.

Have you watched The Glory of Tang Dynasty? It’s been out for over 7yrs and recently got subbed.

With all this said, I would still highly recommend the drama, even if you take it for the first half.

I think the low rating is based on several things, FL not loving ML much and even when she did she couldn’t show it (think of The Red Sleeve in terms of this), they had blood feud.

FL had an aura of a “king”, dangerous if she’s against you and great if she with you. The grandfather didn’t like her for this.

She had a power crazy sister who was used by ML’s uncle.

The uncles were against ML, he could defeat them but it was too much to fight, eventually they made him kinda go crazy with poison.

Before the grandfather passes away, everything was good, and very intriguing, he was a great thinker who also prioritised family in his way.

I felt bad for ML, as from this point things began very realistic and I suspect that a lot of people couldn’t handle it.

I couldn’t handle his passing, and didn’t really like FL’s domineering behaviour, I don’t remember much now about what happened, but i think I read she rekindled with childhood sweetheart.
