Thoughts on Ep5:This felt like the first filler episode of part 2 for me. Frankly I am tired of this 'I will hurt…
My take? He has always been blunt and honest with her. It mirrors how horrible MD was to him. There is an end goal. What’s funny is the they are both like that Whack-a-Mole game - no matter how you whack one down, another pops up! She keeps coming back with a new reason to keep her, just like Uk did in Part 1!

Buyeon is too precious to be treated this way but at the same time I can't call UK toxic or bad it would have…
It’s a callback. No matter what MD did to him, he stayed by her side. Now, no matter what he does, she stays true. Fated OTP. Now if they can only synchronize!

Just by holding hands, they are making me go crazy. Wow, what a chemistry!!🔥🔥
Yup! Because he only felt the spark with JBY-Cho-Yeong. AND she did not have the jade this time! Same with her memory. It’s her memory!

I wonder if it might have been better to cast a crappier actress as part 1 naksu? One of the blank-faced starers,…
The first choice of FL lead was a much younger actress and rookie cast in January of 2021. . She bowed out in July. JSM was a last minute replacement by the director, who worked with her before. She was not even a consideration for original casting. They were all young cast in their 20s, to go with the theme of growth. She joined the filming about 3-4 months after the others around September. They had started shooting in May or June of 2021. JSM could only join after her other drama concluded, which at the time, I admired. GYJ had to have filmed her sequences as Naksu early, since her scenes had CGI.

Yes, you are right, if the original choice for FL had stayed, there would not have been obsessed fans of a very veteran actress spamming everywhere because the episode 20 twist was leaked.

If by adult, you meant contemptuous and condescending killer to innocent boy, then yes. She was thoughtful or calm. She was neither. That was the comedy! Her body kept failing to keep up with her schemes. That’s why we have so much mugging and popping eyes. The cramps when she bragged about her prowess as an advanced mage. Her training was a hodgepodge of crazy schemes which he fortunately survived. He was born lucky.

I feel bad for you. Why is it that you can’t connect? The MD character is done. The persona was to hide that…
I see. You are right. I did want to see more of the world building in Part 1. I wanted more in-depth idea of how the mage houses grew and interacted, because I thought it would be a coming of age story with the young mages t maturing into their roles as the next leaders. They really had time for it then.

I think we will get a bromance again with CP and Uk, once CP confesses and gets over his jealously of Uk as the Kings Star. It’s sad now, because Uk has real reason to hate CP. before, he just tolerated the jabs.

Park Jin was always a caricature, since he was misguided in his protection of Uk and clueless about romance with Kim Do Joo. I actually like him better this season, because he is more on point with his advice for the boys, despite the bad cooking. They are absorbing life lessons along with indigestion. He has romance, it’s on hold.

I’ll be honest, the actors were lucky to have the screen time they had in Part 1. Most supporting cast and other main cast don’t have as much. But it’s time for the main love story to blossom, and I’m here for it.

I enjoyed your thoughtful reply.

Tbh.... I was not able to recognize Yoon Jung in EP1 S1.....😅I got confused whether she is the same person…
Yes, it was the same for me, because of course, GYJs image is burned into us in episode 1. There was deliberate intent. It’s like LJWs first appearance in Part 1. His persona is usually more sober and we get this delightful, light Uk! Then in Part 2, he is almost unrecognizable as Dark Uk. He mouth barely moves to talk and his face is frozen. Petrified! Love how all of this is put together.

Their friendship is real. And GYJ fit right in.

That’s on my list too! Actually, two new episodes of AoS:L&S is wonderful!
The whole point of the story is fated OTP, whether in afterlife or life, but I hope at this point, the kids will get married, have babies, and live happily ever after. What would be hysterical would be an epilogue with them 5 more years into the future, bickering, yelling at their mischievous kids, another on the way, and lots of hugs and kisses and laughter!

Regardless, both Park Eun Hye (Mama Jin) and Shim So Young (the Queen) are creating memorable, complex characters…
I totally agree about the actresses and the roles they play. My point was why the plot happened to have an age bias for women, and all the wise mages could be so old and pruny with no loss of power?

Mama’s Jin has already failed to protect the ice stone by exposing it to JG. She had one job & she risk it all…
My silly point was about why are they focusing only on their age! Nothing about the roles they play superbly! It was just a conversation starter.

Hwang Min Hyun is releasing a song Sunday. "After seeing Seo Yul’s scene in episode 6, I completed the lyrics…
So cool! I was hoping he would do an OST. No, he won’t die! Otherwise, the cast would play it more cagey in the interviews.

So Jang Uk killed “Naksu” to appease the King and Daeho. Do you think Jin Mu will still use Jin Mu bells (it’s…
At this moment, Jin Mu would have no reason to use the bells. He thinks Naksumis dead, and that JBY was just a momentary resemblance.
