Power is attached to their memories/intellect. Just like eunuch Kim had the ice stone but could not use it bc…
I agree. After all that mustache twirling from dastardly Jin-Mu, she cuts herself and it just falls into Yul’s wound? And don’t get me started on that transfusion procedure!

Yes, that’s what I thought I heard. The pills were for the pain. The blood worm, without regular charges of sorcery from Jin Mu would eat the body. I can only assume Yul survived this long because he has strong energy.. That’s why Jin Mu still thinks he has a strong hold on So-I. Though plot-hole, he has no energy left to perform sorcery, having expended it on Naksu to run wild.
Every character in this show uses manipulation in some way.She wasn’t killing innocent people, that was a rumour…
Um. I think the victims of Naksu were the innocent souls, that were in the husks of the minions of Jim Mu. Master Lee and Park Jin had a conversation about it. She was killing the mage bodies to cover the illicit use of AoS to get fresh, young bodies, hence Jin Mu’s promise of eternal life through AoS. We had an example of that plan with the old sick Mage who shifted to his apprentice, and then Jin Mu’s assassins staged an attack to kill the kid in his masters body.
She was sent to die by being assigned to Park Jin, because he was a stronger adversary. She nearly did, which is why she used AoS. I can’t remember if that info was part of the same conversation, or when Jin Mu was talking to Gil-Ju at the lip of Naksu’s cave.
That’s the tragedy of Naksu. She was brainwashed by Jin Mu, thinking she was getting vengeance. She thought she was doing righteous work, but was killing innocent souls. And as soon as she became a liability, she was abandoned to die.
I do agree that Naksu is the same kind of person who manipulates. Where in Part 1, she was meaner and harder, it fit the assasin loner. I like the kinder Jin Bu-Yeon/Naksu right now. There is a lot more compassion, but she still is recognizably intent on her goals, which now are escape, freedom and Uk. How she manipulates is just so random and matter of fact, like the turtle, and how she was so happy Yul was not her betrothed, so she would not, have regrets over giving up such a handsome man by going back to her first choice, Uk!
I liked Part 1, because she had to go on a journey to decide whether she wanted to be the soulless assassin , or have a life of color and love with Uk. She finally chose Uk, forgoing her power and they were almost home free. Then the jingle bells came. The tragedy is she did become Naksu again, killed randomly, killed Uk, and petrified.
I’m loving Part 2 to finish that journey of redemption and fated love.
Random callback question- Do you think that Eunich Oh’s trip was a callback to PatkmJin’s trip when he was chasing Uk. I feel like they were both bloopers that stayed in, because they are so funny. And director used them as a callback?
I’m just going to say this as it’s really bugging me. If I see Jang Uk gaslighting Buyeon/ Young into believing…
Jin u-Yeon was the first to suggest it wasn’t her memories. She suggested that her divine powers must actually allow her to read the memories from inanimate objects. He just accepted her explanation, because at that point it’s unbelievable.
I forgot to comment about Jaewook and Yoonjung ELLE magazine interview here. But it's confirmed Yeong will have…
I was hoping so. She was training for it with Pilates and strength training. The wire work requires core muscles. But her unexpected persona had me captivated!
Q abt S1: If I remember correctly he told her that if she'll become possessed she should come at him and not innocent…
Not sure what your question is. The first time he stood in front of her in the secret room, he was asking her to make the decision, to be Naksu the assassin, or MD the common woman, no power. If she wanted to continue useless vengeance, then kill him and he will take responsibility as the one who released the killer. If she chose to sheathe the sword, he would make her a promise of a happier life.
When she killed him, he was shielding her. They were almost home free to that happy life. She stabbed a sword in his heart. He was always willing to die for her.
And going back to Naksu showed how pointless it was. There was no purpose to her power, except to do Jin Mu’s bidding. How sad and pointless. She never got to live for herself, and reach for the happiness that Uk represented, and she killed him too.
Same here, I'm re-watching the 4 episodes over and over. Tried other dramas, but none worked.
Hotel de Luna? Had some world building flip between modern day and history, IU was stellar, great cameos, and that lady who played multiple fairies or whatever was hysterical!
BUT I LOVE HIS BLACK CLOTHES AND BLACK ROBE.THEY LITERALLY HAVE A SEPARATE FAN BASE
Hah. I believe it. He looked especially hot when he was staring to remove the outer robe to take his bath, but the blue jade called. There was a mean, lean body revealed by the inner robe. (He was not naked. Keep your minds out of the gutter!)
I gotta say I was annoyed of how much time was wasted on fake Bu-Yeon plot in part 1. But in perspective, after…
Of course they and the director were. Everybody wants instant gratification nowadays. Or the unvarnished web toon creations. The Hong Sisters love the word play and clever repartee which you don’t see so much anymore. I and the interlacing of humore and use of older remanded too. Love it all! That’s why I said let the writers finish their story before judging.
