Uncle was ticked off by cancellation of marriage, got reamed by Queen for not letting her know, and met Jin Mu through the Queen, and is getting ensnared as a minion.

I think he never took the pills, because he did not know the source. Unlike Uk, who randomly drinks anything offered from strangers, Yul is much more cautious. Because he is one of the strongest mages of his generation, he was able to hold out against the worm this long, though in horrible pain. You can tell he lost weight for this Part 2, and they styled his makeup with paler lips.

Yes, Yul is saying goodbye to his closest friends, and still takes responsibility for Naksu. Until Uk gained the power of the Ice Stone, he was always the big bro to the others, guiding them and protecting them. It hurt him to the bone, that he did not take MD away fast enough to avoid running wild. Their first meeting, his eyes were asking forgiveness, and Uk greeted him with the same love they always had for each other. Uk took full responsibility for his own death at Naksu’s hands. His question for MD all these years was really who did this to you? For her to run wild, she needed energy, because that was the premise of their marriage-both gave up power.

In these meals with Park Jin, I feel more of the friendship they share, and the respect they give him as their mentor. I really was not fond of the misguided Park Jin in Part 1, because he was so wrong headed in the way he protected Uk. The same with MD as master. Her training methods were insane. Uk was one lucky fellow to survive her brutal behavior, because she did not coach, but threw him to the wolves. I know this is how Jin Mu probably trained her, but MD had a mean streak too.

I think you can get away with seeing just Part 2, because the leads are so compelling. Once it ends, you might be intrigued enough to go back to Part 1 to fill in the gaps. If you like LJW, Part 1 was really a treat to see his full range of acting!
