I suggest he is. Nevertheless 1-8 eps he is top douchebag and pathetic nerd. Just few MLs from other dramas can compare. By ep. 14 he turns funny, got tricked all the time.

Tang Qi is such a nerd in a worst meaning.
After all way green Mo Qing Cheng in "Love Me, Love My Voice" he plays such a repulsive character.
The further the plot goes, the more pathetic Tang Qi is.

It's one of the most struggle to watch series. Cringy af. Not easy at all. Sorry. About to drop it, but keep watching to find out what people, who recommended it, liked here. None found yet.

I personally don't like plot holes, but here are really minor moments. Got phone when borrowed charger or even in plane.
Sister seen him in some bar or club. Anyway that meet doesn't matter much as he left her immediately.

In episode 8, the contrast of two male characters is interestingly shown: the jealous Xu Jia Bai, who flared up because of an open blouse, and the restrained Xu Zi Quan, from whom Tang Ying left for work to Ma Qi Yuan in a revealing "sexy fighting" outfit.
That's the difference between a confident man and a jealous man without self-respect.

Funny moment in ep. 17 at 0:34:40 when Han Shang Yan calls Tong Nian they use same hotel phone. But Tong Nian's one is "wireless".
Overall impressions: not bad romance, funny yet confident FL, grumpy ML.
But i can't get seriously that CTF "game". It's supposed to be a hackers competition for code attack and defence and need alot of coding, but they like playing boring FPS without onscreen action, using just ASWD keys. And it has a huge fanbase and alot of budgets. I just don't believe and can't get into it. In ep. 19 it out of sudden turns into CS-like game.
Except this it's good.

Shen Qing is a magnet for all kind of douchebags. All others seemed almost normal compared to her exes, but stupid anyway.
Upd 2: ep. 11 gets it clear: Shen Qing just same, she totally deserves them.
Upd: i just realise that it has exactly same vibe of all around stupidity as korean "Boys over Flowers" but there is a 10 years gap between these two series.

Somehow she wasn't irritating for me. She is straightforward, she didn't do anything nasty or evil to the leads. Just too actively seeking for ML's love. Hypertrophied stubborn character.
You 'll never met someone like her in real life, but here in this story she's just OK.
Some characters in other series are much more annoying, who do nasty or evil things just for no adequate reason, at the whim of the screenwriter.
