Uhm, I hate Netflix subs, did it say he served a minor? She's 18, so not a minor. She says that she lied to Kawol…
Np, also it's why she says that she lied to Kaworu that she is not a high school student.

Since it's a host club you're going there to meet hosts, it's not a bar per se, you don't have to order alcohol, instead for example you can order an extremely elaborate fruit tower and add credit to his account and help his ranking. Kaworu was also shown making orange drinks for her, poor guy, he just can't catch a break in his world nor here, everyone is questioning his intentions😂

As for why everyone is freaking out about her: it's complex and have more cultural nuances. Yes host clubs are taboo and yes more so when nuns are running the school lol. But even if she went to an average high school, you abide by the culture and rules of that institution. Even when you are outside of school grounds, you're still considered as a student 24/7 and should behave accordingly and not visit or work at shady establishments even though you can legally.

You can visit host clubs if you're 18 in Japan.

I mean I don't understand why people have moral quandaries towards fiction and live such self-imposed restrictions in the first place, it's just a drama, not ethics-101, maybe it's just me

Oh I thought you are brand new to the fandom. Glad you're having a good time, Snow Man's USP is how great they get along, a complete house on fire, they are hilarious. 5 out of 9 of the group were school classmates, so endless bromance, if you don't understand something it's probably an inside joke, watch older videos😂

"Brother Beat" is their represantative song :

Also check out their documentaries: "Traveling with Snow Man" on Prime and "Snow Man 1st Stadium Live Snow World" on Netflix. Have fun!😊

Let’s talk about the first rooftop scene 🎬:
It’s just a simple teaching moment to write his name, but it was SO intimate, pure, sad, fulfilling and wholesome and so much more. It’s where they recognize each other as people without pretense of being a host or a teacher behalf of a school. It felt like two soulmates finally finding each other and completing what’s missing from each other’s lives. One of the best scenes I’ve seen of all the years of watching dramas, made me invested and captivated in seconds.❤️

I loved when Manami says "you should write your name properly for your future” (they didn’t the use word future/mirai but used kore-kara —from here on) and cinematography shows sparkles✨.

Like Taiga had resigned himself to his fate and buried himself somewhere very dark and let Kaworu take all the reins. And he repeats what she said quietly, “from here on?”. Like he himself never thought a different future had anything to do with him because he thinks his fate is sealed.
「Takamori Taiga」 had hope✨ for a second for a future where he can exist. No one up to that very second had spoken or was ever concerned with Taiga and his future, and it made him stop in his tracks. He was on the way to 'The Joker' where he is fated to be Kaworu, but turned towards Manami and took small steps towards her with hesitation as Taiga.

He says after she writes his name: “looks like a great name”, showing how detached he is from his real self, but it was done out of necessity, for him to become Kaworu. The scene is also unsettling when you think how lonely he might have been leading his life without being able to write even his own name. No one, absolutely no one had paid attention or demanded his real-self or self-growth from him. Until now..😭

At the end of the episode, the last word uttered by Kaworu was also:
「Korekara = From Now On」
While crumpling his and her name and erasing what that word meant earlier.
He is now with sinister intentions. Kaoru is reigning once again.

Some Japanese fans are theorizing, since Kawol was shown to speak Korean with the tteokbokki stand owner in episode 1, he could move to Korea since you could probably learn Hangul in like a week.
You wouldn’t need to memorize 1000s of Kanji like an average Japanese person to be considered literate.🥹

OMG I checked, someone contact Netflix FFS!

Manami says this before tripping:
高校生を接客したことについてはあらためて学校、連絡いたします。
The school will be contacting you for serving a high schooler.
At nowhere they used 未成年 which is minor, and by 3rd episode we know she's 18.

But it is translated as "serving a minor"🫠is there a complaint email or something?

She says that she lied to Kawol that she wasn't a High school student.
He made sure that she doesn't drink as 20 is the legal age for drinking in Japan.
She's not a minor but a high school student and she can't drink legally.

A lot of cultural and country specific details are lost with terrible subs.🤦‍♀️

may i ask where u watched ep 3 and 4?? i dont think i can wait any longer lmaooo

It's geoblocked unless you're in Japan, so you'd need a Japanese VPN and it's got only Japanese subs.

Sorry, but it's better to wait and watch with English subs, you can brainwash yourself to think only 2 episodes are released yet lol

I love every character in this drama, and that rarely happens. They are all here for a reason, to keep us on edge and as you said really fleshed out. And every single one's motivation could be turned against Kawol & Manami and all are potential threat to their love. This is truly an us against the world kind of romance.

The tag of this drama says:
この恋は、誰にも祝福されない。
No one would bless this love. 💔

I think people these days are too obsessed with age gaps, I mean they are actors and it's their job to make us believe it can work, so let them and give a chance, so I feel sorry for the people judging by this single factor and miss out on a great drama with such good writing.

Yees! I Stan them since like 3 years.. so welcome to the fandom🤗
We are mostly scattered around Twitter, LiveJournal and Discord.

They are currently the highest selling artist in Japan too, so it's been bittersweet as a fan to see them grow this much from their underdog days. My bias is Meguro Ren, the guy on my profile pic, he was the main stan attractor after his drama "Silent", but I think Raul's going to be the main one now lol

They are also best friends, and always crying about each other and well known for being for very close like real brothers, I mean that rarely happens in bgs lol and have said that even they are surprised about how close they are.

Meguro begged for time off to see Raul's modelling debut in person.. annd is crying aboout how he knows how hard Raul works🖤🤍

Now they are ambassadors for Nintendo, and Raul randomly says shit like "we are indispensable to each other"😩https://youtu.be/TFC_baAHSrA?t=202

Have fun, Snow Man fandom is amazing❤️

You can go far as to say that even though he doesn't know School/学校, as he never got a proper education, he knows Love/愛. And he learned how to write Manami's name 愛😭

The screen writer and director is well known for hidden symbolism and loaded dialogue. There's so many like these, double, triple meanings, it's so beautiful but heartbreaking.
