Agree about An Eye for an Eye and Irresistible. Both series started good but had lackluster endings. I also think the same of Nabi. I haven’t finished The Player yet, so we’ll see..

Shouldn't this series be separated into seasons like other multi-season shows on here, and also for simplicity?

High school students are more subject to peer pressure. I just feel that college students have more to worry about since they're becoming adults. At that age, you also don't care about what others think. Whereas high school students have plenty of time to think about all of the petty/useless things we cared about back then lol.

Anyway, this could also be a cultural thing. I just read an article that said bullying in Thailand is a huge problem (similar to Japan). I'm guessing that students feel a lot of pressure from school and getting into a good college. Like Thyme said in the 1st ep, they want a "release" which they get from hurting others.

I think you make a fair point. That scene was really scary and intense. Tbh I'm not really sure whether the scene should've been included or not. I'm on the fence.

Anyway, I love that you mentioned Hana Nochi Hare. Anyone dislikes the problematic parts of Hana Yori Dango should definitely check it out. In some ways I prefer it to HYD.

I don't really think Ren is the un-problematic choice tbh. In terms of behavior, he's just the least worst of the F4.

I feel that college kids wouldn't really care enough to do all of this bullying, especially to the extent that we see in this version. When you're older, the high school politics seem petty lol. And the school doesn't care what the F4 does because their families give them so much money. This works for any type of school I guess.

Also, I don't think that they're implying that Thyme will immediately become a CEO upon graduation. It's more like high school is his time to be free and then when he graduates he will have to start preparing to take over when he's older.

Tbh I’m really picky about the second lead couple. In the manga, it’s sweet and a bit heartbreaking. There’s a connection there but it’s not romantic.

*Taiwan version does the storyline the best in my opinion . I can tell that the tried to be faithful to the manga, showing all the nuances of their relationship.
*Japanese version kind of butchers it :/ Yuki comes off more as having an obsessive crush and it’s played for laughs.
*I haven’t finished Korean version yet, but Ga-eul is more likable than the Japanese version. I can tell the story greatly diverges from the manga from what others have said.
*In the Chinese version, I didn’t find them ending up together realistic. Ironically they followed the manga too much so Xi Men doesn’t really seem that into Xiao You imo.
*Finally, Thai version. For some reason, right now I’m feeling that I wouldn’t mind Kavin and Kaning end up together. They seem to just click. And I can believe that Kavin will fall for this girl. I’m so curiously about how their relationship plays out.

Agree. They only post twice before the ep airs and then the day of. These posts would be easy to miss if you don't follow GMMTV closely. F4 Thailand is definitely more popular internationally so far. I hardly see any Thai people talking about it on social media.

True, teens especially would probably stream instead.

I just mean compared to big channels like Channel 7 or 3. These channels ratings regularly surpass 2.0+, while a small youth-oriented channel like GMM 25 rarely goes pass 1.0.

From what I've learned about Thai television these ratings are pretty good, especially for a smaller channel like GMM 25. I'm hoping the ratings rise to 0.6 or 0.7 tho.

At least to me, Ren did realize that he wasn’t compatible with Mira’s life. He’s the one that said ‘love wasn’t enough.’ He realized how useless he was just waiting for Mira to come home and never doing anything else. The other guy was just an excuse to finally leave.

I'm wondering if Mira is really dating that guy tho. In the manga, the same thing happens but Shizuka later tells Rui that it was just rumors. But, who knows, this version has already changed a lot of the little details.

The quote is from a short story the author did about him after the story ended. It's kinda sad because he realizes someone like Tsukushi (FL) would be good for him, but he doesn't make a move because of how much he cares about his friends (the story is set when the Tsukushi isn't dating Tsukasa btw).

Cindy is my favorite version of the character so far. All of the extra scenes they've given her are so perfect, making us understand her character better. The other versions the mom just comes off as evil until the very end when there's one or two scenes where she's nice.
