June played Hana absolutely perfectly. I'm so amazed with her performance. I loved that they had Thyme relate to her and apologize to her for calling her ugly (this hasn't happened in any version lol).

Your comments about Ren always make me laugh, even though I'm personally a fan of his character. In the manga, Rui doesn't really catch feelings for Tsukushi when he first kisses her. It's more like you said in your first point: a rebound. It's only near the end of the manga that has fallen for her. But at that point, he knows that Tsukushi and Tsukasa are meant to be and so doesn't even try to steal her. I think this is why I feel sorry for Rui, because he's always too late.

I bet they're combining his birthday and the forced engagement scene like in the J-drama. Thyme's running towards Gorya and I can just imagine him grabbing Lita (the fiancee) by accident lol. I'm curious about who the woman in the white dress behind Thyme is tho.

People calling it cliche, when Hana Yori Dango literally made these tropes popular in the first place lol. Anyway, I really liked you review. I've been comparing F4 Thailand to MG2018 a lot too, since it was the last version I saw. I think F4 Thai is better too, but MG2018 has a nice atmosphere that's more relaxing.

I'm not going to spoil the whole plot, but Ren will do right by Thyme in the end. The next part is still going to be sad tho T_T

I love the anime version too! Only wish it had covered more of the manga, but I guess they couldn't help that manga went on for so much longer lol.

Saw on Twitter that it's Fluke Gawin's song so from the end credits I got the title, "My World Revolves Around You." I agree with Neno that'll probably drop this week since the writer and some others were hinting at it.

In the manga, ML's father is so busy and doesn't care about his kids so he never comes home. This is also the same in the anime, Taiwanese, and Japanese versions. In Meteor Garden (2018), the ML actually says that his father is dead. Currently, F4 Thai hasn't said anything about him.

I feel the same way every country has it's own flair with the story. Some did certain parts of the story better than the others. That's the fun of watching so many versions.

I think I'll rewatch this version and maybe the other versions after F4 Thai finishes airing. I used to place the Chinese version as my second fave, but now I'm not so sure. Right now my ranking is: 1) Japan, 2) Thailand, 3) China, 4)Taiwan, 5) Korea

Tbh I never finished the Korean version, so maybe it'll go up in the ranking after I finally get to it lol.
