I need to show the appreciation to the director and script writer also the leads during XLH dying scene. The only word that DFQC said was "okay" in response to XLH's request for sunshine. While XLY only said few words of concerns over his well being to make sure her sacrifices didn't gone to waste. The rest were pure angst acting and OST by ZS.

The scene was heart-wrenchingly beautiful and painful without much words. But the tears and expressions were more than enough to convey all the emotions and feelings that XLY wanted DFQC to knows (for us as audience too). Totally effective.

Unlike some other dying scenes that took a whole chapter worth 100 or more pages of dialogues where plenty of flashbacks reminiscence their life before.....

There is a scene in the trailer where CH asks DFQC if he is willing to sacrifices himself for XLH. I think DFQC made a pact with CH to saves XLH hence CH appeared when RH was torturing XLH. So maybe DFQC thought XLH was rescued by CH because he was surprised when he sensed she was in danger and put down his attempt to resurrect his army with evil spirits.
