I have to say that I don't think XuFeng is a traitor. He is a Prince of The Moon Tribe who like DFQC has a strong sense of responsibility. He takes XLH as a threat to the existence of his tribe and the main cause of the lost of the power of the tribe's protector which is true in a sense.

Wasn't DFQC first reaction of his curse also to kills XLH with that particular sword?? XF must have been clashing with his GeGe over XLH until he takes a last stand to strip DFQC of his lordship.

Not sure about CH but according to the Heaven Realm that categorized immortal into 8 systems based upon their true form. If someone isn't part of heaven earth thunder wind water fire wind lake or mountain then they will be either human or Moon Tribe. My guess is Moon Tribe just like human, have no true form.
