IMHO, LiuRan and ErLang are the most consistent characters in LuoYang. Their grow are slowly but surely in the right direction. No out of the character action.
LiuRan has always been spoiled and smart since the beginning but stubborn because she gets used to to have her ways. She seems brainless and clingy to ErLang because she knew that her persistent paid off when ErLang started noticing her. She realised that is the only way to his heart. She knows when she did something wrong and never plays victim, she apologized and trying to do better next time. ErLang noticed and appreciated it. In a way, she understand ErLang more than ErLang himself.
ErLang is as stubborn and hot headed as a mule. He lived in his own world before LiuRan entered. It took time for him to realised that he is no longer a bachelor who lives only for himself. At first he didn't cares about his wife until she ran away and father in law talked some senses into his skull before he realised that as a man of the house he has a responsibility toward his wife and can't simply ignored her because a wife is a human being who has flesh blood and most importantly feelings.
GBZ and WSY are weirdly written in some parts. Weren't they supposedly battle hardened man and woman?? Strong integrity and super loyal to the country? But why they became teary, mushy, wishy washy AFTER they fell in love in unnatural way?? As a part of the secret intelligence department, a person is strictly prohibited in having a close relationship, but it seems like they are getting closer openly after GBZ became one. They broke more rules after they got together.

I think one of the reason many viewers dislike how she clings to ErLang is because they "forget" that ErLang is her lawfully wedded husband. They took her as a crazy in love spoiled rich girl who chases after a childhood friend that totally not interested at her, just like in some romance dramas. She is clingy because she is trying to saves her marriage because for women during ancient time, husband and family were their whole world.
Many blamed her for being a burden to ErLang but once again conveniently "forget" of how she helped him in solving some of his puzzles even literally saved his 4r$e. Also I didn't see anyone blaming ErLang for being the one always needed saving by GBZ and ShenFei (cost his own life, poor him....). There is a running joke about how ErLang is a character who know nothing about martial arts but running recklessly into the danger so he badly needs to listen and let the higher authority takes care of the criminal.

Yes, because in eps 38 preview ErLang-QiNiang are leaving LuoYang and ErLang tells GBZ over a drink that he is leaving and maybe won't be back. Sooooooo, THAT preview most likely AFTER the drink which is the beginning of the finale episode.....LMAO 吓死我自己

I like Song Yi since The Disguiser. She was great with HuGe. I have nothing against any shippers but this particular ship of Yibo is extremely toxic. They twisted every single thing and spewing hates to any female between 1 meter radius from Yibo and his other half of the ship.
