He didn’t beat her fair and square because she was poisoned, I don’t think this is the show for you because…
I totally get where you're coming from. It did go on for a long time and that's one of the reasons I don't like those tropes. Another reason is, and why I said they did a little something different, was most of the time, someone will tell them a lie about the person they trust to make them turn on that person and start trusting them instead. With this one, it was going in the direction, but then he uses common sense and immediately decided to continue to trust her. I found that refreshing. But it did drag on and when he got his memory back ..I had to watch them fall back I love all over again. Not a fan of that really. Although, her seeing the real him as a Prince and general was interesting.
As for this one, I felt like he did fight fair because he used his own abilities. She just happened to get poisoned because she already had the spirit lines or whatever they're called. Had she not had them, she would have gained them and been stronger. She used a weapon made from her blood and he used one made from his body too. His was better.

It was so good. I just finished watching Shadow Love and that was another one that did something different with the Amnesia trope. And those fight scenes were great.

It's all good. I've just been watching some great shows with that tropes. And if it goes on a while, I'll be prepared. Fated Hearts hit me with some tropes that other shows drag out, but they didn't. They had the characters rationalizing situations and I appreciated that.
I'm only on ep. 1 but this series has a lot going for it so far. We can chat some more if you don't mind .

Don't tell me what's the show for me. I know what I like and what I don't. You act ike that all the show has to offer. You're doing too much ... All you had to say, if you felt compelled to say anything .. was "be prepared, the fake identity thing goes on for 26 episodes". And I would have been like. "Okay".
Just started on ep. 1. So far, she's coming off as a sore loser, 😂 but I'm only 10 mins in. I understand her need to meet the man. He did defeat her, IMO, he was the better fighter. so far, I'm enjoying what I'm seeing.
What I hope I don't see is the "fake Identity" trope drag on for so long, like some do. The person will cling to that lie even when everyone else around them already knows the truth. It just gets frustrating, so I hope it doesn't wear out its welcome. Enemies to Lovers trope. I'm hoping I don't have to wait until the last 5 to 10 eps for them to fall in love, or admit they are in love.
I would have killed everyone in that house already just like she killed the men in the first episode. They were less egregious. She's actually justified in eliminating the whole family since every last one of them have tried to kill her first.
She is damn near becoming what the other woman was. Docile and obedient and falling for traps. Why stay in that house? Why hasn't she asked for a divorce yet?
Seeing that she's still alive and working in the shadows actually made me lose respect for her character and plight . Because if she had this boldness in her, all this plotting and planning, she could take down her family on her own. Why allow someone who knows nothing about your family have to fend off assassination attempt after assassination attempt, while you stay safe and sound. She is supposed to be handling her own business. Because of that I'd rather she had been missing, in a coma or dead from the accident. At least then, I could see her as the victim. and Now, she's just as bad as her family.
Okay, so every time Mr. Sexy shows up, the Queen of Darkness becomes the Damsel in Distress. She forgets how to fight and needs him to save her. It's cheesy but has all the things I enjoy in a short drama with this much cheese.
I hate everything about the FL. Her voice, her hair, hair clothes, her ditziness, her loud mouth, how she bucks her eyes, her rambling and her attitude. If that wasn't bad enough, not a fan of the switching between real life and comaland. bland plot. I'm more interested in seeing the villain fail in the real life than anything happening in the book world. Skipping scenes and eps until the end.
Ep22 right? As I see it, she couldn't act bc he is a prince and it would have condemned Li Shuang and her family.…
Tossing him across the room and knocking him out would have sufficed. As for the guards, easy work since all of the warriors killed the guards in the end anyway. The Prince was the only one who they could have just knocked out. I mean, if they felt bold enough to stab him, rendering him unconscious could have worked for She Hulk.
If you're going to fight back anyway, fight back when it counts. Especially when he told his guards to cut their tendons. And definitely when she kicked the sword and killed his guard. That was the moment to break free of those ropes and snap off.
Okay, see, this was also my complaint with Gemini. They'll show a woman being strong and fierce the whole time, but then weak as a wet paper bag when they want to put them in a hostage situation.
Yes, she'd rather kill herself than be used as a weapon against her loved ones, BUT wasn't this chick weightlifting stones and splitting fat logs with her bare hands earlier like she was Capt America? How did she allow Prince Li to even take her hostage when she could have been whooping all of their asses from the beginning.
If you want her to be average, then don't show her being extraordinary and I won't expect the extraordinary from her character.
So basically, it’s like other 99% FL revenge driven Cdramas. Years of planning… but still no plan
This series was one of the worst in that regard. It tried to be like "Glory" Kdrama, and The Glory Cdrama but the FL didn't have a plan, no knowledge. She had fighting skills, but they never saved her.
He's scared bc of his masked id and amnesia that she'll see him as a threat.Which is partly correct. He is thinking…
Yeah, she knew a long time ago. So, I'm glad they didn't drag it out any longer. That was nice. I mean, he turned from a superhuman child to a weakling adult overnight. It wasn't a hard stretch to figure out the man with the blue markings and affinity for her wasn't the same person who was the kid, and man, all with the same blue markings. Now I hope they don't fall out of love once his memory comes back, but fight together once they know the truth Too much love and trust has transpired between them for that enemies part to make them break up, IMO.
okay, ep. 11 and this is what I HATE about secret identity tropes. They cling to the secret for dear life even when other people already know the truth and they refuse to admit it and think they're so much more clever than everyone else. And when the truth is finally out, now they have to own up to it.
Or, in this case, it's not even necessary. Why act like you're not the same guy with the mask? It's already established that you've got some supernatural stuff going on. You turned from a superhuman kid to a grown man overnight. Your tattoo matches patterns on the mask man. Just admit that you're also masked crusader. Wouldn't doing so help you explore more about yourself? So, now I'm supposed to believe she can figure out this is the same guy when both men only want to protect her and have the same lips, height, markings, body shape. How long is this silliness going to drag with him pretending he's two different ppl?
I'm on ep. 9 and I'm a bit concerned. I hope they don't do what so many amnesia tropes do and that is have the characters go stupid for a while. By that, I mean, this guy, who you don't know comes out of no where to tell you so things about yourself and then tries to twist what you do know about the person who you've been trusted.
In these situations, the character just starts jumping to conclusions and immediately starts trusting the new person without asking any real in depth questions. All of a sudden, they no longer have common sense or survival instincts and fall for the trap like some idiots. It's one of the reasons I don't care for the Amnesia trope any why I procrastinated on watching this series. I hope this isn't going to be like that since he's been proven to be smart. Let us see.
I haven't started this one yet, but I'm one of those viewers that enjoy obsessed characters. I don't mind if both the leads have ppl who are crazy stalkers. I do hope the "will they/won't they" doesn't drag on forever like so many "Enemies to Lovers" tropes do. I'm already expecting the male to fall in love first and the female to deny her feelings until the ML is in danger and she is forced to admit that she loves and cares for him. I hope that I'm proven wrong, because I am sick of that scenario. If it's as good as Fated Hearts and Journey to Love, I'll be happy.
could have been 8 eps. if ppl didn't Meet Joe Black and Twilight their way through the dialogue with 50 millions pauses and stares. Talking like Capt. Kirk the whole time.

With that, I'm hopeful and excited.
I loved how he was like... Don't think I won't. You're playing with 🔥
