Her inability to control her emotions was understandable before starting her revenge. It still would not have…
She is so out of her league where the lawyer is concerned. I'm only on ep 27 and he already knows who she is. She's terrible at protecting her secret identity. Like Amazing Spiderman level when he kept taking off his mask.
She doesn't really know how to handle him and easily let's him get under her skin. The trick with him is to be assertive and dismissive. When he starts talking about his ex, tell him you don't care. Cut him off every time and tell him to stick to business. Walk away from him once he starts running off at the mouth. Ignore him whenever possible. Instead of getting in his car, tell him you'll meet him at the location and drive your own car.
She might as well admit who she is around this dude because she can't keep it together for sh!t.

Yeah, her emotional breakdowns are counter productive to her mission. Like when she passed out of the roof. She's lucky the lawyer wasn't there or it would have been game over and nothing she could have said would have changed his mind. She should have watched videos of him, listened to his voice to prepare herself for his presence. She needs to talk about her daughter instead of swallowing her grief because she can't handle the pressure.
I'd be mad if I spent money and resources to give this woman a secret identity and she can't control her emotions to keep it the moment she meets someone from her past.
She supposedly spent all this time preparing for her revenge and can't even keep it together around her ex. She isn't acting like a woman should who isn't supposed to know who this guy is. She's acting like a woman who knows him and trying to pretend like she doesn't. There's a difference. No wonder he's extra suspicious. She really can't hide her emotions well at all. She should have spent some of the time having therapy instead so that she could better cope with the loss of her daughter. That way, she wouldn't be so easily triggered at the mere mention of her, giving herself away all of the time.
Yes, there’s definitely a disconnect between the ML’s actions and how the FL perceives them. Trauma survivors…
That is true. I also saw it as her not wanting to get close to him since her intention was to take his son from him and run away. She didn't want to let her wall down around him until she really realized he loved her. And that now, she had to fight for the family she saw was a possibility to have. I do hope there is a HEA.
I have one more ep to go, but lord, did she cling to that fake identity around the ML for dear life. The person she should have realized she could trust since he was constantly saving her life.
okay, so it's a cultural thing. like in Anime when their nose gush blood when they having lustful feelings. it's…
Was it in Sinful Marriage? At the moment, I was thinking the same thing. Can't help but wonder about blood borne pathogens. 😂 Even if it's a fleeting thought, it still comes up.

As a vampire, zombie, and gore fan, I'm used to see blood. Lol. , I know it's sweet. I think some of the actors hate how sweet it is.
But I also criticize vampire movies that have them drool the blood. I get why they do it for the aesthetic. But it's silly in regards to vampires. That's your FOOD. Stop wasting your food. Are you all Cookie Monsters? Isn't it supposed to be delicious? If something is delicious and makes me feel amazing AND it's good for me, need it to survive, I'm not wasting a drop. So, for me, is like it to make sense.
this fr when a’wen said “ you can’t bc the screenwriter won’t let you” i was wheezing that was too funny…
Lol, yeah, I laughed too hard and had to rewind a few times. Because it was like the ML became an NPC character and couldn't even respond because he knew it was true. That was the best part.
Ah, I'm at episode 46 and already check the ending, while searching the fate of one of the characters. I'm having…
I'm on 35 now. I'm sure I know how it ends because of the credit in the beginning pretty much tell you everything. one of the reasons I don't watch the credits if I can help it. But the only sister who isn't toxic is the youngest. the eldest is manipulative, power hungry, cruel. she claims this legend that she can make a man Emperor, then she should have tried to do that with Hu since he is who she loves then. instead, she chose to marry a man, Yu, who never really wanted that power and she manipulated him into that position and manipulated him into staying.. all the whole, manipulating Hu into doing what she wanted no matter how ruthless her method was. knowing full well what kind of man he is. and I felt a bit sorry for him because she led him to believe she would make him emperor, time and time again, only to betray him and use his love for her against him.
she was the biggest villain in the series to me. Even her sincerity was fake when she claimed she would divorce her husband. had he accepted it, she would not be the empress anymore. but when he didn't,but told her he didn't want to be the emperor anymore, she panicked. Because she loved power more than anyone else.
I can’t get past FL stabbing a horse, to get even with someone, in the first episode!
She is actually very heartless when it comes to getting what she wants. she is manipulative and cruel. just because she treats her sisters and father kindly, others aren't so lucky. including her husband who is too nice to be tangled with her.
I'm starting to think he has 3 things in his contract. 1. He must show his abs. 2. he must be a stupid ML that acts like he's smart. 3. He must die at the end.
I'm actually feeling kind of sorry for Yuwen Hu. DBR seduced him, manipulated him, made promises to him and the moment she didn't need him any more, because he wasn't powerful enough for her, she ditched him. Then upon ditching him, made more promises to him when she needed him again. Broke said promises, which drove this man insane. Let's not even talk about how she set him up and ppl wonder why this dude is the way he is. Abused by the former emperor until he started to fight back and then lead astray by the queen of broken promises and betrayal, Dugu Ban Ruo.
She doesn't care who she hurts or have to sacrifice to get exactly what she wants. She's a villain too, in my eyes.
how did she even find her at the restaurant? (I thought maybe Tora tipped her off so she would ruin their relationship)(that…
I agree. When he scared the ex boyfriend, putting the gun to his head, I was on board. And then that was it. Nothing exciting. I even thought they would have the chick who caught him in the act at the bar would have a better plan to blackmail other than having him quit. Like, what is that supposed to do?
I agree about the FL at work. I can't see this women having any managerial position at work. The other employees would either take full advantage of her or bully her into submission. She doesn't have a spine that is necessary to stand your ground.
I'm on ep. 6 so we'll see if there is any improvement.

This series is actually pretty boring. I keep waiting for the Yakuza action to step in. The FL has a 1 dimensional personality and is basically the docile damsel in distressed.
I was wondering too, how she knew where she worked and when she was at the restaurant. That might have happened. I'm guilty for not paying 100% attention too because nothing is really happening. The little conflicts that have popped up are just skirmishes at most.
She could have easily just blocked the number instead of allowing her mom to harass her. Also, cutting her mother off a long time ago, would have let her mother know she wasn't the one, or the two.

it's just funny cause I'm like, spitting up blood means you're probably gonna die soon. that ain't healthy. 😂
