Now in the recent episode fl character is flirting with her father in law saying he is looking young and now that…
It's a pet peeve of mine. We All Lie, had a really smart FL. For these short dramas, it's like they think they're writing them to be clever when we can see that they're just dumb and troublesome. I hate when they have the ML not explain himself, but in this one, he totally did on more than one occasion and she still wants to hate on him. Like what is her plan anyway? It's not like she's shown ANY investigative skills. She's just going around throwing herself at the men in the series mainly , it seems, to make the ML jealous.
He should have left her ass in the ground buried under the weight of her poor choices. Or at least ignore her from now on and she how she reacts.
He should have left her goofy ass in the coffin, buried under the weight of her own stupidity. Even after he saved her for like the 5th time, she still gives the ML attitude.
FL is stupid af. Like first she goes for male lead, doesn't know what actually went wrong with her family and…
You're watching for the male lead, like the rest of us. Cause it sure isn't to see a smart, badass FL do her thing. This chick is as dumb as dumb can be. She doesn't even see the irony and hypocrisy in her own accusations when the tables are turned on her.
Now in the recent episode fl character is flirting with her father in law saying he is looking young and now that…
and once again, she needed to be saved my the ML. She gives him all that self righteous attitude, but can't seemed to even survive without him. He told her that place was dangerous and she has not one plan to protect herself other than giving him lip. I'm glad she got accused of the very thing she's accusing ML of... Murder. See, it isn't fun when someone blames you for something you didn't do and tried to kill you for it, now is it?
I'm on ep. 1 and this dude should be unstoppable after living so long. He should be the world's greatest fighter, cultivator, doctor, chef, lover, you name it, he should be the best in it. Not a shy bone in his body, he should have. How are you going to live 100K years and still be a virgin? or NOT be able to rock a woman's world... or man's. There shouldn't be an ass you can't kick. so, I'm going to dive in and see what this series is talking about.
Okay, so this chick is just beyond stupid. First she blames the ML for killing her family, just because him and his friend showed up. Like, she uses 0 brain cells to evaluate the situation. So, to get her revenge, she goes back to the house, says she's going to marry the man who attacked her and tattooed her ALL to get back at the ML who she felt wronged her.
He was wrong for stealing her key, sleeping with her and then vanishing. But that hardly cause for marrying a man who drugged you , permanently tattooed you against you will, and attacked you. Why not ask him about it all? She's assuming he's guilty with zero proof. And it just makes her look outrageous and stupid. This is the same woman who fell for every trap and nearly died 3 times and was nearly assaulted twice had it NOT been for the ML saving her. She at least owes him a discussion.
I JUST got done watching this type of scenario in Maid's Revenge and that dumb ass chick and dude. But really her. It took the side character to say everything I was thinking. Bless that side character.
Okay, I'm preparing myself for a FL who thinks she's clever., but is actually dense as hell. A male lead who will make decisions that are dubious and then not explain himself properly. Common sense will probably only show itself in the form of the right hand man of the ML. He'll be the one to say everything the audience is thinking.
All I know is dude side profile is profiling. He's very handsome.
To be honest. I don't like Mr. Su. his harassment of Ms. Gu is atrocious and he's petty and vindictive because he goes out of his way to hate and attack the man he think she's in love with. The way he stalks her, the writers want me to see that as cute and charming, but it's the same thing the Female villain does to Gen Xu. When characters act like that, they aren't supposed to get what they want. He is unworthy of her attention and I already know I'm going to be annoyed when they get together. The only way I could abide it is if he's held accountable for his actions. If she finds out that he's the one who help spread the rumor about the Tan army. I want her to find out that he's been trying to frame her friend, someone she loves, who protected and saved her. I don't want him to get away with that actions. I hate when that happens.
I might give this one a looksee. But I'm concerned that the "Strong female lead" is just another woman being mean to the man who helps her and acting like she doesn't need him, when in fact, her plans would have gone array without him coming to help her. I hate when characters act like their success is of their own making, giving no credit to the ppl who helped them.
Why people are calling her stupid is... well, her father gave her a keepsake and told her to find the governor Feng, he will help, pretty much. And when she finds the guy, she STILL accuses him of killing her dad. He was the same guy who came after the massacre, it's not like she caught him in the act. He showed up later and took her away. But she still calls him the murderer. Like, girl... you are stupid. She hasn't even taken into account her father told her to find him, so could he have been the same person who killed him if her father still trust him with his dying breath?
And why ppl are calling the ML stupid is because he just won't tell her the truth and for some bad writing reason, his character believes being the villain of her story is the smartest option, which it's the dumbest, because it makes protecting her that more difficult. Like, what if she stabs or shoots him? How can he protect her then? or what if she trusts the wrong person because she feels like she can't trust him because of his behavior?
I was looking for a series with jealousy and scheming and this looks to be what I want. Now, the female isn't the brightest. Like she is blaming the guy who showed up AFTER the fact for the crime. Instead of asking even 1 question. So, that tells me she's dumb as hell. But the writers want me to think she's courageous and clever. She has more fire when she's faced with the ML, but cowers around anyone else. So, I'll just tolerate her antics for now.
Male lead is hot and I like the ones who can't be swayed. So, I'm going to enjoy watching him defy everyone and end up on top. But I also know I'm in for him being silly enough to simply say, "I didn't do it." Like the last series I saw him in, "Be Not Meant to Be" we all know the "screenwriter won't allow it." lol
i think it has to do with the environment she grew up in. her mother is treating her in a horrible way and just…
She's that type of character and those types just don't entertain me in stories. Nor do I relate. The women in my family are all strong even when faced with the same type of trauma she's had. So, I can never relate to characters like her. I get why she's like that, but it annoys me because at what point do you demand better for yourself? At what point do you begin to fight back? If this man wasn't in her life to rescue her from every situation, what would she do?
See, these are questions some aren't asking, because she is your typical damsel in distressed waiting on her white knight. And it's expected for her to be this yet-to-bloom flower who will blossom under the man's shadow.
For instance, she could NEVER hold a position of power like a manager at her job. Those employees would run her into the ground and take advantage of her at every turn. and she'd let them and apologize for upsetting them.
why does it have so low ratings? should I start watching it?
This series is 6 episodes too damn long. It's repetitive, it focuses a lot of characters every day, mundane life, without the flair a soap opera has. Max action includes some scenes where gangs are fighting in groups, but nothing badass. Save one scene in a hallway that was cool, but few and far between.
I'm getting through it by skipping all of the boring scenes.
THIS IS SO STUPID. SC knows the Big Stupid Pig has a stick and will beat him up and he turns his back to him and…
That scene was such a let down. Like, you're supposed to be this great fighter and you go down when the weakest links take advantage of the opening YOU gave them?!?!?
I've never been so disappointed in a series starring a gangster before.
7.2 ???? wtf i had such great expectations. i wanted to binge it but damn, i’m a little bit taken aback now.…
Honestly, I've been doing a LOT of scene skipping. Don't expect the lead to be the John Wick type. He's trying to be nice to everyone, and just going through life nonchalantly. Ep. 12 and I'm still waiting to see him cut loose. Maybe it'll be the series finale.
This is one of those series that would have benefitted from being 8 EPS or less.
Maybe he'll fight in ep. 14. I'm still trying to see why he's so feared, because so far, he's burned out and just coaxing through all of the drama. Not taking enough situations seriously. So, maybe now after what happened, he'll get himself together.
Annoying FL. Yes, I liked that she realized, eventually, what she didn't want in a partner. But it's her attitude toward the ML that is irking me. He's pretty much been her Knight in Shining Armor the whole time and yet she plays with his emotions. Her hot and cold attitude ... if I were the guy, I would have been left her alone. I don't have time for those kinds of games. She wants to think he's some playboy, but she really hasn't seen it. Reading some comments on a paper about how he feels about the women he encounters is just as fair game as her own prejudices she not only had against him when they first met, but also continues to have, yet she feels like only she has the right to have them.
When she turns cold, it makes him back off and be cold too because she doesn't communicate why she has the attitude, she just has it and is hostile toward him, so he backs off. Like I said, she's too much damn work, trying to break down the walls she keeps putting back up instead of asking him if he's a playboy. Instead, she rather listen to gossip from others even though, when she sees him with that one chick, it's never romantic. It's always him trying to avoid her. She's never seen any photos or other women claiming he's been with them, so this attitude just comes off as annoying to me since he's always been there for her.
The jealous ex's antics are what's driving this series for me and maybe it'll pick up once she stops pushing the ML away. I also don't really care about the 2nd couple, mainly because of the SML.
He should have left her ass in the ground buried under the weight of her poor choices. Or at least ignore her from now on and she how she reacts.
What does he see in her other than a pretty face?
But I bet she's too dumb to see the irony.

So, I hope this isn't that.

The writing isn't just dumb, it's lazy.
