Title Legend of Yun Xi Spoiler
I will have to start skipping some EPS since they are using stupid tropes to expand the run time of this series.

FL too flighty and gullible, but at the same time perceptive and intelligent. Her character is just okay to me.

ML made the dumbest decision to avoid telling his expert poison master wife about the poison he has in his body. She's been going around curing and diagnosing everyone 's poison, but he's like. "Naw, I'll pass. Let me just suffer and die instead".

It makes no sense at the point in the series that he pushes her away... You know "for her own good" rather than open up to her for help.

Nothing says "I love you" like "Aye, get away!"

All of this to create silly drama, but it makes the characters look stupid.

Every other incident the ML kicks the FL out of his house. She's spent more time in the valley than with her husband and it's all his fault. He might as well let her be with the guy on the valley. At least he's consistent.

Don’t get me wrong, I like this drama but it’s so dumb that ML doesn’t just talk with FL about the poison…
I was just coming here for this exact reason. I hate avoidable drama for the sake of drama.

Like, dude is married to a woman who's been able to cure poisons other experts can't and he keeps his poison situation a secret from her? Instead, he'd rather risk losing her and her affection claiming he's doing it for her best interest.

Nothing says "I love you" like "keep away from me!"

I was trying to give this series the benefit of the doubt until they pulled that stupid stunt.

They're still dragging it out? Like the 32 episodes before wasn't enough? Goodness....It took me a long time to…
The Princess's Gambit is good! Also Dream within a Dream is good!

I’m tired of the “let’s pretend we don’t know how we feel about each other” and her “I forgive everyone…
I get what you're talking about. I too, hope they don't drag out the confession of love until the last 3 episodes. I've watched 32 EPS of them doing the same thing, lying to themselves, pretending what they feel isn't real and it's all an act.

At some point, the story must reach the second level and give the viewers a payoff.

I'll accept the fact that she forgives everyone like a Saint, but Imma need to see them actually move forward with their relationship. They're adults after all.
On In the Name of Blossom Jul 1, 2025
I hope we don't have to wait until the last 3 episodes before we see these two admit they love each other. My God! There's slow burn and then there's WTF?
On The Princess's Gambit Jun 26, 2025
Well, I don't know what's wrong with the ppl rating this low. The acting is on point. The storyline is solid with enough villains to keep you engaged in their schemes. The enemies to lovers plot is unfolding nicely in my opinion. Two very smart people, being calculating and playing off each other offensively and defensively until they find common ground, love, and respect.

Yeah, I'm here for this and enjoying every episode. I knew from the premise, it was going to be up my alley.
On The First Night with the Duke Jun 20, 2025
I'm enjoying this. I've seen the ML in other roles, but I really love his character in this one. The aggressive possessiveness and passion. His blunt honesty and charisma are off the charts. He's funny out trying to be.

FL grew on me. But also held my interest. I can't wait for more.

This is a battle between the old aristocracy and the supporters of the new emperor who has not really got control…
I finished it two days ago. It was so good every episode kept me engaged. I loved how the main couple enjoyed each other's company even if they were mad at each other. I loved how they laughed. They had great chemistry. I enjoyed the long game plan and how it played out. Threw me off for a second and I appreciate not being able to predict everything. I predicted a lot, though, but was still surprised. It was one of the better Cdramas.

I know one thing, you would have to really be good to frame me. Whenever I see these court trials, I'm like, why is no one asking obvious questions or calling witnesses on their behalf?

See, what happened to him, wouldn't have happened to me because I would have called in the popo that night. And let them see the body dresses as a servant, knife on the floor by her hand. Let them take her corpse and file the report. I would have been like, "I didn't know who she was. I just saw a servant trying to kill my wife and new born baby".

He was stupid to let the one person he KNOWS wants him dead, has been framing him his whole life, take the corpse of that heathen to use to do one more frame job.

He was steady giving them the rope to hang him with. Dude, I thought you were smart!

Why didn't HE bring witnesses like his staff who were cut and had to fight her off that night? Why didn't he bring his wife who was the victim to tell her side? And he wonder why he's got screwed over by that punk ass Emperor.

It's rare to see an emperor or king who IS TRULY loyal to those who are Truly loyal to them. They always listen to other ppls' opinion and betray their friends.

Don't let the episode count scare you. They fly by especially once you hit the middle section of the show. This…
I appreciate that as well. It shows he can accept his faults and learn from his mistakes. I love that he can lose with dignity and even laugh it off if it's all in fun and games.

I do like the he FL as well and how she's cold and calculated when she needs to be. And forthright and sensible at all times. I'm also enjoying all of the side characters which doesn't happen often, but I'm invested in everyone. On EP. 38, now. Still can't believe it's so many more EPS to go a lot has happened.

Minglan is keeping her powder dry, nothing is missed by her and she can read her family like a book. She only…
Yeah, I totally get the way she's playing it. Her father is an AH and she has to protect herself. Just funny how she's timid at home and fierce outside. And her being timid is also being used against her too. Ppl saying she's too weak or kindhearted to be in control.

Gu is stuck on stupid. He was smarter when he was a kid. He grew up and lost all that wit. Instead of seeing the snakes in his garden, he's constantly being bit by them. How many times does his elder brother have to frame him before he wise up and get ten steps ahead.

And any time a woman is kind to him, he falls for it. His step mom and his side piece.

I'm on EP. 20 now. It's a really good show with lots of twists and turns.
On The Story of Ming Lan Jun 11, 2025
Wooo boy, this is one of those 5-7 days series for me. 2 days in and I'm on EP. 16 and so far, still know very little about the ML. Most of the story is focused on secondary characters. FL, I see she's clever, but she's not carrying the show for me. I'm sure that will change. I mean it's 73 EPS!

I like the 5th sister the best. I prefer characters who speak their mind and don't care what others think. They'll call her rude and unruly, when she's just speaking truth and ppl can't handle it. I like them feisty.

I'll see where this series takes me.

This is just a fun series. I'm a fan of OP characters. If the character is arrogant, all the better. LIke yes, I can and will kick your ass if you look at me wrong. The harem was typical. But I did like two of the three women. I was happy when the 3rd finally got the talking to she had coming. Lots of action, which is why I picked it. 24 eps in, I hope to have more.

i find it unbelievable that she still wanted to be with him after this.
That's fine. That doesn't work for you, like her attitude didn't work for me. We judge things by what makes sense to us.

Not me. If she still wanted to follow her "brother" after his betrayal, then she could still be with her man. Especially after she realized just how dangerous and cruel her brother was, not to mention obsessed. She saw that her man was right all along. The bastard wasn't worth saving.
On The Rise of Ning Jun 6, 2025
Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
Well, the credit cartoon gave the whole plot away, but I still watched for the fun bits. I'll say that I enjoy an obsessed stalker yearning for the love/possession of their prey. So that kept me entertained and would have liked it to be more obsessed like the guy in Wonderland of Love.

I enjoyed the romance blooming, but hated how she kept calling him 3rd brother. Like... STOP THAT!

The intrigue was nice, plots were shady. I wanted the ML to have a mad obsessed lover too. I'm on. Ep. 35 now, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

What I'd love to see is when a parent tries to force a child into a marriage they don't want, that child threatened them by saying "if you make me marry them, I WILL make you regret it. I'm bringing the whole family down with me."

And with the second couple. All dude gotta tell his parents is "Fine, you won't let me marry the woman I love, then I'm going to become a monk. No grandkids for you and I'm the end of the line. Enjoy the family name while it lasts."

Watch them change their minds then.

Title Romance of a Twin Flower Spoiler
All I'm saying is, Miss Thang has a lot of damn nerve telling the General to marry her sister, who he's said he doesn't have feelings for, all because her sister likes the General. But she won't take the leap of faith to marry the man she loves because of her old family feud that happened before she was born.

Like, practice what you preach. She's willing to give up her once in a lifetime romance because ppl told her it would never work, even though it was. But got the nerve to ignore the Generals feelings as she pressures him into marriage with her sister.

So, her sister is a settlement. He doesn't really want her, but can't have the one he does want. Everyone was smiling about his decision but him. That's how you end up in a loveless marriage.

I would have told her. "I'll marry your sister, who I don't have any feelings for, if you marry the man you love." See what she says then.

Thank you for finally saying it!! This is the one thought that always popped into my head while watching the show!…
I know right. I wouldn't have bothered to save my father or brothers if there was no love between us. If the only memories I have of you are painful and cruel, you become bad bargaining chips to me.

Can't anybody call me up talking about "give up money if you want your father back." I'm like "keep him ." Then I'm hanging up and calling the police. But just to report a threat, not the kidnapping or ransom. 😂

Yeah, we can end this roundabout. But it's not that I don't understand her POV. It's just that I don't agree with it. I wouldn't be blaming someone for doing what he did had I'd been in that situation. So, I don't relate.

I related to what he did. I loved that he didn't help anyone else but who he loved. Who didn't screw him and his over.

Same way that I can understand why a villain does what they do, like Killmonger, and not agree with all of his actions.

She can blame him all she wants. I just didn't agree that he was obligated to save her brother.

And when she was betrayed, I laughed, because her and her father were like "how could he work with our enemy against us". And I'm like... Well... He did it before. He worked with Sun Jing, but that time, it wasn't against you. It's his thing. 😂

But okay, let's say he had saved her brother after the betrayal. How was that supposed to play out because him and his army wanted dude dead. They were also badly wounded. So, was he supposed to nurse him back to heath AGAIN and then kill him? Or did she expect him to let them go. Let it slide? Yeah, that wild.
