My chingu I just came home from having a blast with my dad on the first day. He will be staying at my aunts for 15 days, then he can come and stay with me since I have to work for the time being... oh and I took it because although my talent is drawing/panting, and I'm studying Drawing in college, I still needed a job to pay my bills so I started working for the Post Office, and now I have been promoted to mechanic so I have no other choice but to learn electricity and such things to do with everything we (artists) run from LOL.
I never thought of myself as a smart person. I guess I'm not that bad as I thought. But I still need to take the 3 weeks class in Oklahoma, which will put a stamp and sealed the deal kinda thing... in a few months from now I will be stressing again. *sigh*

No worries, take your time. I'll come leave a note later, I need to hit bed or else I won't be able to get up early tomorrow. My adventures with dad continue!!! XD

My Chingu you abandoned me? What's up with that story?? LOL
I finished my class in electronics with 83% Yoohoo!!!! That thing is damn hard, and I have no electrical background. I thought I would die. Now I can relax, but no dramas, because dadddy is coming to visit for a whole month!! Yoohoo!! I miss my dad.

Well???? You have forgotten about me... :(

You got several options, as far as I know there are many Japanese drama that deal with teacher and student love, however, there I haven't seen all of them, the two I have seen were much better stories than The Green Chair: Majo no Jouken (I loved this one) and the other much darker theme drama, so I have not finish it because I can't take this kind of drama at the moment, but I really liked what I saw so far, this one is: Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003.
Now. The rest of the films I know about are western films.
There is a movie done with Kate Blanchett about a housewife (teacher as well) that has an affair with her 15 year old student: Notes on a Scandal. Very good movie. I think it was based on true events. Not sure.
There is the classic film Lolita. It is very disturbing to see Lolita seduce her stepfather. But the film is really good.
And finally you got the Kate Winslet film: The Reader. Although this film deals more with the view of the director/writer on WWII German woman soldiers, but the story is told from the perspective of a man who recounts his affair with a much older woman when he was a teen. It is a very interesting movie, although not as romantic.

Hope this helps!
I don't mind at all others contacting me. ;)

I'm very curious now. I know I initially was very skeptical. The more info I see, the more interested I become.…
I agree. I wasn't even going to watch it because Im over BOF. I read the manga and watched the anime when I was 20 years old LOL. But I will give this a try just for support. Yay!

Title Masquerade
This movie is on Netflix for those who have it and haven't had the chance to watch it yet.
I really enjoyed it. Lee was, as always, superb!! I'm a big fan of him.
<--- really I am. lol.
So I knew he would not let me down. However, I think I went into this movie with high expectations of it, and got less than what I thought I would, but I cannot denied it's charm.
It is emotional, and it will make you laugh your head off at the same time.
The story is nothing unique, I have seen this kind of story before and the concept it touches, but what pulls you in is Lee's character as the impostor King. He does it so well, you quickly forget you are watching a movie. I found myself loving the relationships between him, the Enuch, the Chief Secretary, and the King's guard. How these three people relate to the impostor King throughout the movie, really touched me!

Awww hahaha I know the feeling of not having that drama which took all of your energy and emotions while airing. I know too well... anything I try to watch bores me. I can't help it. Golden Empire left me empty because it was too intense.

I agree about Taiwanese dramas. The one drama I really liked was MARS. Have you seen that one?

Thank You is only 16 episodes, and it is more of a melodrama than a family drama, but it deals with a family's struggle to live in a town full of prejudice. The family is a young mother with her daughter, Spring, and her grandfather who has dementia. She also has a younger brother but he lives in the city. The problem is, her daughter has AIDS (this is not a spoiler in any way) So, although she is not necessarily dying, because she has not developed HIV, she is a small girl (about 6 years old?) and doesn't really know what her illness really means, so she lives her life carefree although aware she is special.

Jang Hyuk is the main male lead. He is a doctor that comes to live in their house. He has a double agenda at first, but later comes to love the family and the people in the town.

The drama is very emotional, and heartwarming. You will find yourself saying Thank You!! hahahaha. If you do plan to watch it, let me know :)

My Chingu!!!!!!!!!! I have a small break right before going to bed teehee...

What's up?

How are you liking Golden Empire? Please tell me all the details.

I can't get myself to watch anything, not even the ones I have been watching. Golden Empire left me blank... my feelings went down the drain after that drama. I'm lost, and cannot be found. :(

Which episode are you on? What are your emotions? What do you think of the three main characters? Who do you like best, and who do you hate more? Tell me, tell me... ppalli, ppalli, seodulleo. There goes my Korean for the week.

Now. Isn't Go Soo marvelous in this drama? *sigh* can't stop asking questions... nway, I have such a bad hangover after it, I tried watching Will It Snow For Christmas which is a drama written by the same writer who wrote Thank You ( a long time favorite) and Go Soo happens to be the main lead... but... nah. It's not that is slow paced, its that is slow paced and unoriginal. After watching something as badass as Golden, I think I might need to be careful what I watch next. o.O

In other news I just finished Masquerade... our Byunghoney's movie. YAY!!! I loved it. It was highly entertaining; his character as the impostor King is very funny and, of course, the hero of the story so he will make you cry. The movie is also kind of emotional. However I didn't find it moved my heart as much as I would have wanted it to. I cried in certain scenes, but I was not crying with my heart really as I love to do while watching something EPIC!! The Last Samurai. Ha!

So? What do you think of my long comment? :p

I just hope the main female lead would not be as annoying as Jan Di, but more sensible and loveable like Makino.
Ill be happy as long as the female lead is just like Makino from the manga. Which I know you have already told me it will be. So cheers to that!!

This is not a question, but just a curious thought: So America is doing a remake of BOF and Korea is doing a series…
That is even better. I have not seen the Korean version, nor the Japanese TV series, but I read the manga and the anime and loved it. :)

You need to teach me how to post a long comments, because the characters count on the left corner makes me hate MDL with a passion, but let's keep this a secret or I'll get in deep trouble with certain someone LOL.
Nway... Aside from Lee Min Ho, whom I could stand if the drama was something worth watching, City Hunter was not really that worth it. It made it worth it to 90% of the fans because of Lee Min Ho, that's it. Take Lee Min Ho out of City Hunter and they would have liked it, but not as much as they did. For me City Hunter is just a cliche after a cliche, after a cliche. He is a spy, but I didn't feel his internal struggle as one, or his sad past, not only because LMH cant act, but because the plot focuses on romance and cute romance at that... Next.
I would suggest watching Time Between Dog & Wolf before watching City Hunter. It is a better drama with lower production value.

After showering, yep, you know it, hands in pockets. What? Bathroom robe has pockets. After eating, hands in pockets. Dios mio!!! Kid, take your hand out of your pockets please!!!!!! That is a sign of insecure actor, he doesn't know what to do with his hands unless he has to physically use them.
I remember when I was little, my mother use to give acting classes to college students that were trying to make it to the Arts University in the capital of Cuba. You only make it there through passing a test, and it is very hard. So these three kids came to my mother, and asked her to coach them. I was in every class, I didn't miss a thing. An actor needs to know what to do with every part of his body at every moment, and not misused them. Hands. They are very powerful to actors, they convey feelings when the eyes remain cold. But Lee Min Ho hides them in his pockets.

Im back soon.... I could not wait to read this response. And, no, I would not go on a date with Lee Min Ho (although I know it's hard to believe) I'll rather live with the satisfaction that I turned him down than with the satisfaction that I went out with him on one date. Seriously, I would. Because even when my practical eyes tell me he is not bad looking, I just don't feel anything looking at his pictures and I surely don't feel anything watching him act. I started City Hunter to give him a try. At the time I was friends with someone who loves Lee Min Ho, so I tried my best to like him, or at least be okay with his dramas, but... I just couldn't continue watching something that made me shake my head every 5 minutes: a spy that after being cool and walking on a ledge, feels the need to be extra cool and put his hands on his pockets. After waking up, yep, hands in pockets.

Yes, I know. I can be a snob sometimes. -__-
I tried to like him, and I don't really dislike him, I just don't care for him, and avoid his dramas because I have liked NONE.

Night my chingu!! This unni is going to sleep and dream of cute Byunghoneis. Many of them. One is never enough. Many, many, many... Im greedy. :D
