I had to put this drama on my 5 top dramas ever. It's just that good.
I wasn't as satisfied with the ending as I was with the overall drama, but it wasn't horrible either.
A little birdy told me this is an amazing drama so I stopped by to check out the page. I like what I'm seeing…
OMG So Hyun Joo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is amazing. And Go Soo and Lee Yon Woo are very good as well. In fact, I think Go Soo was excellent.
Was I that little birdy? Shirp shirp.
gonna start watching this cuz of Go Soo oppa hope it's good
It is.

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant review. I loved it. Because I felt exactly the same way.
I was watching like 5 or more dramas at the same time, I stopped watching them all at one point, but kept watching Golden, because I couldn't watch anything else. If it wasn't Tae Joo or Seo Yoon or Ming Jae, it wasn't enough. I needed them.
How come we aren't friends? o.O

"Should I be worried?"
You crack me up chingu!!! But enough said about this.
OH! Sorry I lied. I have to say that out of all the dramas I have watched, yep, all the 226 dramas, if that number is even accurate (LOL), the heroine of this drama Seo Yoon is the most amazing female character I have ever encounter.
Im almost done with Lovers. Episode 18. I really liked it, but I think they drag at the end a bit, or maybe Im too jaded to even provide a good assessment of this drama. But I have to say, any drama I have seen with this actress is pretty good, but this one tops them all. Lovers will be getting an 8 from me. Also, it made me a fan of the actor. He is really good. I only saw him in a mini series once, and couldnt appreciate his skills, but here... he is great. I will be looking up other dramas from him. ^ ^

Well, aside from my reaction - which can be dangerous to you, because if you start the drama based on that and you don't like it, you will kill me LOL. I have to be unbiased and tell you this: it has no real romance, the synopsis LIED!! hahaha. And the ending it's neither great, nor disastrous, not in my opinion at least. I believe that this character could have had a better ending, not for him to be happy or sad, this is not a description of good or bad endings (people seem to think so) but his ending wasn't satisfactory to the amazing path he put us through ever episode, with that, I will leave it there. If you are going to watch then Ill wait until you are done, so we can discuss the ending plenty.
If you really are giving it a try, don't put your expectations high on the ending. Think that it will be worth it, because the writing of this drama is amazing until then. AMAZING.

Oh. I'm sorry. Yes. There has been another drama which feared nothing, just like this one, and for which I cried buckets until I had no more water in me. That drama was, What Happened in Bali. A storm flew in. Phew.

Just on that alone, tell me if this drama deserves a 6? Maybe not a 10, because like I said, we all have different taste and whatnot, but a 6? Are you kidding me? Nightmare... I need sleeping pills. lol.
The ending was not what I wanted, and I was fearing it would be just that. I cannot believe it, not from this character, but I still watched it raw without subs, so I cannot fully put my finger on that. However, I can tell you, there was no way for him to come out of this one, so what happened was still acceptable under the circumstances. I cannot keep talking about the ending because I don't wish to spoil it for you. What I can tell you is that, although no gangsters, there is an undeniable amount of self-corruption, that is painful. Honor takes a long vacation, a morals hops on the trunk of its car... fearing its existence.
I'm stealing some of these lines for my review. :p

I don't think everyone would give this drama a 10, like I will. But based on the technical aspect of it alone, this drama is perfect. From the acting, to the writing, to the directing, to the sound, music, photography, costume... everything takes a 10, not the best above all dramas, but it takes a 10.
Story alone, this drama is a 10. The story is unique, while still following a bit of the same old platform of marriages under a contract or deal, and rich vs poor. This drama takes all of that into a different level. I was blown away with the story line of this drama, it fears nothing. The writers don't care what we think, they don't care if we like the main character or not, they wanted to give us their truth, and they did. Raw; unapologetic; sadistic; cruel... but we took it. Now tell me if you have seen this happened in a Korean drama before?

Well that review sure does not give it justice.
This is were my problem lies with people, when feelings get in the way of truth. I understand that we can't ever give a 100% unbiased assessment of a piece of work, because art is subjective. And, series and films, although less, still is some kind of art. Not going to get into the original meaning of the word artist but yeah, directors and screen-writers are artist and thus their work is some form of art. I get that. We all have different taste, and we will give our opinion based on that. But when it comes to motion pictures and television, there are certain things that we need to take into consideration before we give our biased opinion. Frankly that reviewer didn't like the end, which I have yet to watch with subs, and she gave it a 6. *sigh*. My nightmare starts.

I finished Le Jun Kai. Really nice, but I wished it would have been longer to give room for more character development. Also I would have hope the ending was reversed. Instead of him dying, it would have been better her dying and him living forever with the burden... but... nway, I just did a cleaning of my PTW list whew... I had 107 now is down to 84. Let's see if I can keep it that way hahaha.
Don't have guilty conscience, we aren't here to please everyone. I like that we can share many things, but it doesn't have to be all, I can accept that. :)
Yes I love Lovers. The type of story line that Lovers has never gets old, and its well acted. The actress is one I like myself. I have seen her in I am Legend and I really liked her so I went to watch Lovers in Paris, which was cute, but too cute for my taste I think. Also because I like the actor in that one, he is reaaaaally good. If you ever feel like giving something different a try, then watch Money's Warfare. Is based on a Korean comic book. The story is different, but not at the same time. I think you would like it.
And now, I must go to sleep... oh that's right, I was going to say that Kang Jae is one sexy muthaeffa... I think I stole that word. :p
