You have to understand some history about Cdramas first, then you can decide if it's YM's fault!
Around early 2000s - 2010 YM worked under great agency like Tangren and they produced some of the best shits ever such as Chinese Paladin, Fairies of Liaozhai, The young warriors, etc. Tangren has a long history since 1998. And Jaywalk? It's a baby one that only started in 2013. What are you expecting? Rome isn't built overnight. By 2016, even Tangren couldn't even keep up with competition anymore, Chinese Paladin 5 got horrible reviews, even in 2014 actually, big stars like Liu Shi Shi was kind of going down hill already because of the script issues in Scarlet II and Sound of Desert. Nicky Wu produced The Bride with White Hair in 2012, it wasn't even good. In 2014, Wallace Huo in Perfect Couple feels just like a cheap web drama we see today. Everything was declining as a whole!
What can a baby studio like Jaywalk do right away? They can only build up slowly. Dilireba didn't have the luck to get into a better company than JW. If you or a loved one doesn't have enough luck to land a job with Google but only work at Aldi store, are you going to go scold Aldi or what? YM too, had the luck to work with more professional directors from the early 2000s, but producing is itself a whole new of art, men tend to pick up those skills better. So she was only a actor with some shareholdings in JW, and had a bit more privilege than others, that was all. The industry was lacking talented directors all around, what can YM do? However, you should be asking how the hell ZLY broke the data in 2015 with The Journey of Flower over 20 billion views within one go. China only has about 1 billion people. Just when China was suffering from insufficient good directors, ZLY devised this shrewd marketing scheme where whoever has the most fans is the most billable. Nobody dared to blame ZLY in 2015 right away, they thought it was a one time thing, in 2016 the bish ZLY did the same thing again when Legend of Chusen was nothing but BS, it didn't even have a plot, all it had was the dramawar between ZLY and YZ off screen because the director promised YZ she will be the lead but ZLY stole the leading role and all her scripts. YZ fans questioned ZLY but ZLY fans attacked YZ for being too ugly to lead and not popular enough like ZLY who broke the data in 2015. Legend of Chusen even far exceed the crazy data than Journey of Flower's crazy data. Ever since then, other productions got so pissed they decided to strike back. That's why we have all these stupid fan wars now, things with low qualities but the quantities are big and the fans are massive. How is that YM's fault that Cdramas are bad all around? She started her company in 2013 and made a bet to pay off her debt within a few years but the situation changed so huge thanks to ZLY over marketing to only benefit herself. Those years she got famous was very unpeaceful. When she attended Charity night, others didn't want to greet her the organizers had to put her in a special table by herself, and she did donated tons of money (well she better).

New actresses like Bai Lu, Esther Yu, Zhao Lusi, they're under their own agencies and have enough help to land them good projects. The reason why they get bad reviews about bad acting, you should be asking on ZLY page and not here. For Bai Lu, ZLY hates her for almost stealing the same award she wants, her news editors pretended to make Yang Zi sounds like the culprit hating Bai Lu on the news. Esther Yu is rich and her father sponsored Love Between Fairy and Devil, why are rich girls being hated? That's another question for ZLY fans.
