She succeed in her great mission. It's so obvious from the beginning. A happy ending makes no sense with the way…
You're crazy enough to finish the drama way ahead of me, many of us hyper fans cannot finish it until end of the day when we done with work. Cause the last episode just came out not so long ago... and you're one of the very first people to rush as soon as it came out then calling it average... hehe... do you not work? Or is it your job to smack things competiting against your agency?
Is AOL worth watching? Iām only there for LYX, so would like to how how much screen time he take. How big is…
I find most Xianxia boring, I do consider AOL one of the betterly paced and less draggy to watch. It has great OST and CGI. If you read the discussions on AOL page, fans of the leads were angry thinking he took too much screentime, it's true he does have decent amount of screentime but I find his arc overly important and way more interesting. It's even scary to talk about it bc there are 2 huge teams, 1 team likes the leads and hate LYX and his role. The other team hates the leads thinking they are selfish, foolish, and inconsiderate while they like LYX and his role despite that it's the evil role. I'm with the 2nd team, nothing against the leads but I blame the writing for making them so irresponsible and knowing nothing except being in love.
It's competition. She's currently top list now. I think I know at least 1 powerful person behind it. I think BL is also nominated for Magnolia, some so call prestigious award. Zhao Liying is DESPERATE for that award. Earlier, ZLY's news editors wrote all over the place that if she won then Yang Mi will be super jealous. Then, her team goes on to say Bai Lu doesn't deserve it. The newsletters look like these: https://news.sohu.com/a/672292013_121438382 There is no issue between BL and Yang Zi but they made things up to make it look like BL acts diva towards everyone, and they put the fake dispute between Yang Zi vs BL in the title, and first story, to accuse Yang Zi of jealousy. But I already know the editors were hired by ZLY's team bc when it came to the comparison with ZLY's paragraph at the botton, it's always the same tone ZLY team always use: "gap between Zhao Liying and Bai Lu is comparable to the gap between the Himalayas and the Asian Trench", that's the same sentence ZLY team says all the time. And they were jealous enough of BL's dress to photoshop ZLY's face into it, thinking she looks better in it: https://www.sohu.com/a/672707062_121670115 Everytime a new actress is trending, e.g. Zhao Lusi and Esther Yu, same thing, it's always this same team.
Si Ying looked so gorgeous when JM pushed her away. The look on her face and just her hair and costume was just…
Her fighting scene with CJM at the pond from earlier episodes left a deep impression, the way she used the umbrella as a weapon was very unique and how the umbrella turned into person (resembles mo nu??) made it interesting. She usually plays all these evil roles but this one is her best so far with me. I'm starting to like Bingchang, she is her own person, she has other people to care for, and other goals... not just the usual b*tch killing people for a guy like Tian Huan. People used to hate the main guy when he played evil in Ashes of Love as well. I'm sure when Chen Duling starts playing lead roles, fans will start to see her evil role here differently.
That scene when Zhao You insisted to CJM that he must be killed asap before he fully turns into a demon! Their…
Oh, HHB used to be the best in the early 2000s. Him and Vincent Jiao. I'm dying for the wait, so I have to alternate between this and HHB's old drama Kings of Kings. They really need to eng sub his old stuff. His role in Kings of Kings is very controversial, he is the lead slash bad guy, and the other leading guy is equally handsome, leading actress is also my fave back then.
Is it just me? I don't know what to call it, theories? imaginations? creativity? Sometimes I keep taking some of the Xianxia theories in this drama as real facts, I don't know why they come off so convincing. Whoever wrote and directed this really put more thinking into it. Usually I know Xianxia is fake stuff. This one got me many times, I keep repeating to myself what they're showing isn't reality, it's only a drama. š The scene of the evil TTJ explaining how he was born and how he felt was done so brilliantly.
Agree. I think Immortal Samsara is overrated. Esp. the 2nd part, so boring to watch. Without lead stars it would…
I don't think Immortal Samsara was overrated bc it got very honest reviews complaining how boring it is and it is truly boring like the complaints. The reviews really reflect what the product looks like for that one. I would say overrated stuff are those stuff where they are so boring to death but the reviews are so dishonest, 100.01% they say it's not boring but the screen literally froze on the same damn thing for 30 episodes... and even the fans be like, oh... go to ep30 and watch from there (60 or 70 episodes total) and it's a "masterpiece". Ah... yeah... masterpiece but the first 30 eps were crap you say? No wonder why the government had to step in and put a limit to the number of episodes. If that's how masterpieces are like, there's totally something wrong. THOSE dramas have higher ratings LOL, I will say those are the truly overhyped ones. It's impossible that there are that many people saying they enjoy really boring stuff... but when things aren't boring they cannot enjoy it and start complaining about how they can't stand boringness when I thought they enjoy boringness. It's just really really odd, it makes no sense. I think it's just some unfair competition and jealousy to be super honest.
Don't be jealous of the rating here, it's already low enough. I can see how hard this production worked even without seeing any of the BTS. It's not a piece of crap with no plot, no idea, no creativity, etc. I don't want to name things, but the truly overrated dramas are the ones where they didn't even hire any choreographer to do the action scenes, even professional camera men were not hired. Why? Cause some overrated artists be charging for ridiculous salaries, the producers couldn't even afford for Ok-ish CGI. How those overhyped dramas even got their unconvincing high ratings and good reviews, IDC, but it's either the producers covetting the budget to save for insane marketing, or the artists who greedily snatched all the budget to themselves bribed fans to like their stuff for their sakes. All I know is something boring equals snoring. Boring stuff with awesome reviews saying they enjoy boring stuff... makes no sense. It's time to appreciate TRULY hardworking producers and REAL actors. There isn't even a single episode where this is draggy and the plot froze. If this is overhyped then I don't know what I should call the "authentic" overhyped stuff. Be fair in competition! To point out flaws that are true, yes, that's fine. To lie about things that aren't true, please have some shame.
HHB also works with LYX in Immortality. I still remembered on the booting days so many pp wanted to talk to LYX…
š® No wonder their master-student relationship feels so comfortable. Zheng Guolin and Yu Bo (Susu's dad) are also popular back then. I once adored Yu Bo very much in Paradise 2004 with Ada Choi. It's funny how HHB and Yu Bo both worked with Max Zhang, the true martial artist. Back then, the skinny guys were very disadvantaged despite their talents. Because Max was tiny, they even used him to do the stunts for the ladies š He always played supports. It took him a long time until he's finally recognized. LYX gets very mean comments about his appearance, but he's a real talent.
There's no need to compare LBFAD here bc that one was more light hearted and this one is full of angst. I'm a huge Esther fan, however I dropped LBFAD. Several reasons. I praise BLFAD for good pacing however it still fell short compared with TTEOTM, it got a little draggy somewhere in the middle and bc it wasn't hooking, I dropped and never revisited. The chemistry there was cute but not strong enough, maybe it did after I dropped... I felt that it took too long. I also felt like I kind of knew where it was heading already that's why it didn't interest me to continue. Just recall now, I guess the main guy there was also a devil like TTJ, there is a bit of similarity but the storylines are super duper different. This drama keeps you on your feet everyday. Although I must say IDK if I will rewatch again, I wouldn't say it's a master piece, but it does check every boxes, even OST are great. Visuals are so pretty that it does feel very pitiful to not rewatch.
Cang Jiu Ming's master is the ageless actor Huang Haibing, my forever crush. Taking some time to appreciate him. This is the first time I feel HHB reviving his deep passionate acting skills, he returned many times to play fathers/masters/old guys... but I find him especially passionate in this drama. Maybe it's bc of Luo Yunxi! š When HHB was young, he worked his ass off, and very damn hard, when doing those action scenes. Got big injuries and weathered through ice and fire. TBH, most actors now, without talents, it's not that they fear injuries and hardship but they really can't risk their health so their action scenes are so non-amazing. However, Luo Yunxi is a very professional ballet dancer. He can do awesome jumps. HHB must be proud and happy, so he worked extra hard now. š I'll link his YT fan playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJofYyOJHBs&list=PLxDr2CsAzHSn4M_sbmsiHQVk8ZHFD_QRg
Jayne usually got their sources from sources like Sohu, Marcus Sim gets his sources there as well. Although I know they are very bias and will write things to defame others while flatter their faves, and they also twist truths about real footages, but I didn't know they're starting to write imaginations too.
Just learned Gong Jun was actually the first choice for TTJ role. I really like Gong Jun too but Gong Jun vs Luo Yunxi, LUO YUNXI ALL THE WAY!!! So glad he got this role, no one else will do it better than him.
I am really excited about Fox Spirit Matchmaker (Gong Jun and Yang Mi, my 2 faves) but I think TTEOTM really raise the bar way too super duper high. The awesome pace makes me unable to wait everyday, and they really got super good fighting choreography. Super creative! I have a strong feeling this might be the best of 2023.
I ship him with Bai Lu so much in Till the End of the Moon (2023). I'm on ep 30 out of 40. I can't believe they…
He is very very shippable with anyone beautiful! Before TTEOTM even came out, with just AOL alone, I watched a fanmade clip of him pairing up with a beautiful girl and I was so convinced. How stupid of me then, I wasn't convinced how awesome he is until TTEOTM. Talking about this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMvRY16OMHw&ab_channel=MeganTeng
Those new LYX fans, here are some inspirational videos abt the actor LYX and how he comes to today Great Actor…
He's a ballet dancer no wonder why he's so thin. Love how he answered the haters making fun of his weight, "couldn't find no dirt on me so come after my appearance" ššššš So badass! I love his eating show, he can eat so much! Usually I don't like thin guys but I don't bully nobody of their weight, and he even won me over instead of the buffy guys I thought I prefer to watch.
I underestimated him. He amazed me in Ashes of Love despite not being the lead, but I find skinny guys too flowerly so I wasn't captivated by him then. Now I'm swooning over him bc of TTEOTM. I actually only find buffy guys easy to watch, I don't even swoon over them, I hardly ever swoon at guys. To me, when he changed his styling into Cang Jiuming is the handsomest. Luv luv how he weld that sword, argh! So heart robbing! The two strand of hair makes him look so Wuxia, reminds me of the 80s and 90s like Bai Yutang. He's good at dancing no wonder he did so well with action scenes. And his voice is REAL! OMG. This guy, full package. I also heart heart heart heart heart his personality, he is too likeable.
