I'm halfway into watching this drama, and I simply must say this; The second couple is just not fun to watch.…
I’m rewatching this drama and I completely forgot about the second couple. I love the main couple of the drama but the second ML was so annoying. I don’t remember if I just skipped the scenes of second couple or if I was actually watching them. Either way, I really disliked it because she obviously didn’t like him and the power imbalance was just such a major ick. One thing I do remember when I was watching the drama for the first time is how I much rather have FL friend to be with FL brother.

Anyone else super annoyed with the social worker who took Woo Joo away from ml and fl? I mean wtf? the most important…
THIS!!!! I do have to say that she is not wrong in the definition of what is child abuse and neglect. HOWEVER, I think that intent really matters. With truly neglectful parents, they either care, but don't put measures to prevent the same thing from happening again or they just don't care about what happens to their child at all. In the drama you can clearly tell that they were so worried about WooJoo. Taking WooJoo from his family like that is 100× more traumatizing than him falling once and crying. The social worker exaggerated a lot, because if we have to be honest babies/kids falling and losing sight of them happens even to the best of parents. Also, unless you're rich or have the best paying job, there is no way you can support your family on one sole income nowadays.

The one thing that I cannot wrap my head around is why she had the door open!!!!!!! 😫

P.S. Did anybody notice how the neighbor with the kids was judging Taehyung hard for not being there for the inspection? That was lowkey annoying because shes judging without not knowing anything 😤

The hate towards FL is simply because of "Character Development Arc "which her character never had we…
Personally I didn’t think that the FL would get that much hate. However, one of the main reasons for the hate (in my humble opinion) is the fact that she willingly took custody of the baby, but her actions show that she doesnt take responsibility seriously. Instead we saw ML, who didn’t want to be involved at all, being more concerned about the baby than FL. Its even more weird to me that, even though FL didn’t have the best family situation, she still doesn’t see the weight that being a legal guardian carries.

If I have to be honest I feel like, as much as the love triangle wasn’t necessary in this drama, the real problem is the fact that the screenwriters for KDramas are trying to fit in so much content into only 12 episodes. For example, the whole incident with ML’s dad, the SML. Like many people have said, we saw more FL and SML lead scenes in the drama than the real main couple together. If the ML and FL had more scenes together beyond them taking care of the baby (more scenes of her falling in love with ML), then her confession wouldn’t be so lackluster.

Why the comment section now filled with hate comments ?...for those saying that the drama is overrated and it…
I think that the drama has been such a blessing in disguise for me, otherwise I wouldn't have anything to watch at all. When it comes to dramas, I don't know if anybody feels this way, but I feel like Kdramas have really ruined the way people watch dramas. Since there are more and more streaming services picking up k dramas, they also have become much more shorter (i.e., 12-16 episodes only per series). Short series make the storyline move faster. I made my move from kdramas to cdramas so long ago (2018), and really enjoy that cdramas are 30-20 something episodes while kdramas leave me hanging with their 12-16 episodes.

I wasn't originally interested in watching this drama when it came out, but I decided to give it a try since I had nothing to watch. I'm only a couple of episodes in and I cannot stand the ML. I understand that he has a prejudice against FL, but him saying infront of everyone that she is not his type was too much and was lowkey rude at work to her. The whole Su Miao situation was hard to watch. I don't think ML was in love with her but rather infatuated. Genuinely don't understand how he didn't even know Su Miao well yet was saying that he was in love and talking of her as if he really even knew her well. Seeing how ML was pestering Su Miao, going to her friends house to find her when she didn't want to see him was very stalkerish/obsessive when she had clearly rejected him. I also really dislike how he does not take no for an answer, for example: him asking Su Miao/Fang Jin if they can talk, they tell him this is not a good time, and he still goes to their house/job/etc to find her. I feel like him not being experienced in dating/love really is evident, because he does not realize the difference between love and infatuation or know that he is attracted to a kind/nice/pure hearted people.

Sorry to go on such a rant. I know that as he falls in love with the actual FL, he might improve but his persistence was too much for me 🖐. Besides that, I do think that the message of this drama is great and is funny.

Also he is irresponsible with his child. I know you have a busy and irregular work schedule but that is no excuse.…
The whole kid wanting a mom situation was actually just baby trapping her. She is not that kid’s mom, therefore ML should not be weaponizing the kid against her. Him never apologizing or not trying hard to win her back was the the final straw for me.

Love Heals? A DISGUSTING FART! THIS wasn't healing at all. I already didn't like the character of hero but since…
I feel like love heals should have been fitting if the FL found love but with a guy who loves her for who she is, not going back to her ex husband who never apologized for his mistakes and baby trapping her.

To me the kid with a single dad trope was actually just baby trapping the FL and stopping her from living her best single life.

I'm honestly not a fan of this drama. I think the first 5 episodes were good, but after that I really dislike a lot of things about the plot. The ML using the FL as a rebound was horrible, but also the FL being too naive to see that he needed time to get over his ex was also dumb. I also did not fall for the single dad/kid with a single father trope. I especially hated how the ML couldn't tell his son seriously that she is not his mother. I didn't find the kid cute for some reason and it might be because the kid was so persistent that FL was his mom, when she was literally telling him that she is not. The drama did somewhat remind me of the Cdrama 'Unforgettable Love', but I think because the leads in this drama were divorced and ML didn't truly love FL, I'm even more annoyed to know that they still got together in the end. Seeing the FL being pursued by the lawyer but ending up with her ex, was annoying. I think, if they ML actually apologized to her and explained why he was so distant towards her during their marriage, I might not feel so much dislike towards ML for intervening so much in FL life after divorce.

On the other hand, the only good thing that came out of this is that the ex girlfriend and friend of the ML warned them to not be in a relationship when the girl isn't being treasured as she should be/doesn't love her to marry her.

I don't get the low rating for this drama either. I didn’t think much of the drama when I decided to watch it, but it was so entertaining. The acting was on point. Han Hyo Joo acting in Japanese was amazing. The cinematography was so pleasing to my eyes. Seeing how understanding the leads were to each other was goals. I like the one sided love/misumderstanding trope so I enjoyed watching them figure out their feeling for each other.

On another note, I think most dramas are not relatable. It’s impossible for everyone of us to relate to everything that happens in a drama.

I think that the drawbacks of netflix/app series are that they are rather short. For this drama, we couldn't see a more detailed/intricate timeline of how FL came to realize that she liked the ML.
The acting of both leads was so good.

On the last episode. I personally really like the drama! I don't speak Japanese at all, but as someone who has watched jdramas I really liked how well Han Hyojoos Japanese sounded compared to the other kr actors ive seen. The story was cute and kept me entertained.

If you like a not so dramatic, but cute story line please watch it!

Probably the only complain that I have is that 8 episodes is short. I think that's probably the drawback of kr dramas more than Chinese or Japanese dramas. But I understand if they didn't know what to add to the storyline to make it longer.

Very true. But I feel that even though the plot is cliché, the acting is good that it doesn’t give off that feeling at all. The actors reactions are not cringey and the storyline developed well enough to not question why they need to live together.

I'm more of a Cdrama watcher now and very rarely/selectively watch Kdramas. When I saw who was going to be in the drama I was definitely intrigued especially after reading the synopsis. After watching the first episode, I can definitely say that it did not disappoint! It had me laughing loud. I hope that the progression of the drama is even better 🤭

edit: there's a lot of people saying its cliché. The plot is definitely cliché, but the acting is good so it doesn't give off a cliché feeling at all.

I was watching the drama 'Head Over Heels' and I couldn't help but think that she looks similar to Park Boyoung! I'm not saying she looks exactly try like her, but she reminds me of her a lot.

Never read the story, but the plot and Alys character reminds me of 2010 and earlier kdramas. The typicall kdrama FL in those years, used to have to much outer dialogue. I can tell that the story was written in 2010.

xuejiao's anger is valid, she told him that she's from the future, and he didn't, even though i understand why…
Even though she told him, she believed that he took that as gibberish because she was drunk. She never openly and seriously told him that she was from the future in a sober state. Even when he tried to address it, she was like forget I told you anything. I guess I don't get the reaction because I would probably be happy to find out that I wasn't the only one experiencing this time travel situation.

I really like this drama! Honestly started watching because of Chen JingKe 🤭. I tend to dislike when the leads meet when one is a minor and the other is older, but Chen JingKe really made me break my rule to no watch those dramas. I liked how the FL changed for the better and decided to focus on herself. I didn't like the ex, the ex bestfriend and lowkey the brother. I didn't care much for their scenes and at some point just skipped over them. The ex was soooo annoying 🙄😤, but to a certain extent FL is at fault for never rejecting him properly. I just dislike the ex so much. At this point I feel like he was just obsessed with her and doesn't truly like her 😡

My rant has to do with episode 19. I got annoyed at FL for getting mad at ML because he didn't tell her he's from the future, as if she wasn't the hiding the same secret from him. She also assumed a lot about ML from the 'past'. Im just glad the fight didn't extend to the next episode.

Me too girl. I don’t typically ever get second male lead syndrome, but the main ML is making me really root for the second male lead. Him not putting boundaries with the other girl and the FL not giving him in an ultimatum to finally cut her off. I think also the directing is trying a little too much to have a kdrama vibe. The The FL outer dialogue is too much as well. A lot of it could’ve worked better as inner dialogue.
