The plot wasn't progressing and not enough episodes are left so everything starts becoming weird from Ep.28
screenwriter did LLTG and The Rise of Phoenixes so she can write exceptional scripts, - except apparently the last 10 eps in every one ! something is strange here.

Why is she leaving her sister whom she just found , abandoning the man she obviously loves, the old man she just accepted as her adopted father and is going on some idiotic quest to 'save her friend', and dragging others with her? And all that highfalutin talk about bringing villagers back home, and rebuilding it brick by brick? Her major character trait was keeping her feet on the ground, when had she suddenly become some sort of 'commissar' Fan?

I am sure number of allowed eps has some impact. But I remember Rise of Phoenixes (which was superb ) had 70+ eps and it became a mess in the last quarter of them. Too much, too convoluted and more importantly, basically unnecessary. Same with LLTG - the last 8-10 eps are repetitive, stretched out , and the ending is blah. Same thing with one of the best dramas there in imo AJTL - last several eps are completely off, and the ending is one of the most unsatisfying there is. But I agree censorship must have a lot to do with lousy endings because they need everything made into a morality play with party approved message.
I was rewatching Nirvana in Fire 2 to tide me over during the one episode per day week, and I think it spoiled…
You have a point about story line, I agree. POJ is enchanting, very beautiful, the tension between two main characters who come from such different views on life makes it captivating, fight choreography is gorgeous, it has humor, it is playful. But story wise it is same old same old, and choppy. I have not seen NiF2, but the original one is probably one of the best written dramas of it genre there is, though visually it is not as striking as this one. Anther thing I am noticing, it seems a pattern with c-dramas, they start with a bang and then get a little muddled by the ending. I can't think what causes it but it a thing.

I think the worse hit is on the heat index. Which makes me think it could have been done to sabotage the drama. I am wondering whether legal action would make any difference. But for actors the damage is not going to be very material.

I doubt it would ruin the rating though, and that actors are going to get damaged in any way. The problem is that some thieves are selling these eps and are making money of off other people's work.
I dont get why folks are complaining, this is one of the few dramas where theres an ACTUAL fem general kicking…
I don't want any one of them OVERSHADOWING the other. To me their strengths are the best when played off of each other. Without him she way too good, too sunny, too kind, too practical, too loyal, too everything. Without her, he is but another period drama general with a revenge arc. There is nothing original in the plot. There are plenty dramas with fighting females. What makes this drama exceptional to me is its outstanding cinematography, and the exceptional interaction of the main leads who make each other shine. And for me personally the 2 kids, who are just adorable. ☺️
