I understand the frustration, but this comment crosses a line that actually weakens the argument.Personal insults,…
There is a very long history of Lilly Alice who has a title of 'editor' ,whatever that means, posting incendiary or unverified gossip, and provoking furious reactions on this board, creating ongoing furor and conflict. It is clickbait. You disapprove of my reaction it is you prerogative,. It is my prerogative to be disgusted by this type of ongoing "reporting".
And why are you everywhere? You are responding with your non sequiturs to EVERY post.

He is a major part of the corruption/cover up plot, and has a personal gripe against ML. With FML he does have scenes but they are kind of short. How annoyed you will be or not only you can tell. Oh, one more thing, the SML actor is really good.

you need to brush up on your reading comprehension :) "Could have been " means it is reminiscent of a kind of writing AI produces, by borrowing from many sources, not that it was actually written by AI.

Who the F@ck writes these summaries for these show, Can someone explain to me whats the story is about.
They both are architects, he is an established genius, she is aspiring. They meet at a cosplaying mystery VR game , fall in love and kiss alot. There is a background of needing to redeem his father's reputation, who was made a fall guy for a major construction accident, that happened due to his partner swapping proper steel for lousy one. (sound familiar?) Watching the 2 together is very sweet. The rest is so derivative, and "borrows "so many major elements, sometimes including lines! from other dramas it could have been written by AI.

You did comment on my post , you simply didn't do it as a direct reply, but for some reason trying to pretend that you didn't. That is underhanded, but whatever.

What with people who watching romance base drama and shitting on it for being... y'know romance? 🤣Idk a lot…
Romeo and Juliet is a "romance based drama", and so is Pride and Prejudice, A Room with a View, and a ton of C-drama and k-dramas where plot is not a string of regurgitated scenes from other work. If someone can't tolerate someone's else's opinion that doesn't align with theirs , their life must be full of frustration.

And every cliche is done well and the drama is great from start to finish .. isn’t that why we watch drama ?…
It depends on what your standards are for 'good'. If good is chemistry between the leads then it is a good drama. If the standard is interesting plot and character development - then not so much. But each to their own. No point to argue about tastes.

Wow, there is so much gushing on this board, if it was water we would have another Genesis Flood 🤣.
Not to spoil anyone's fun, but the way I see it, it is a nothing story with every possible cliche and a ton of elements stolen from 10 different other sources, starting with the whole renting from her for architectural design.

What makes it work is the main, and the secondary couple who are adorable and playful. The interaction between the two main leads is so attractive, so genuine and fun it wouldn't matter what intrigue it was grafted on, it could be anything at all. In fact the whole subplot with clearing his father's name is so trite and bland it is boring. The evil 'father" is a stock character , the mother is a hopeless ditz - total waste of screen time. The step brother character is saved by good acting, but it is written as a walking cliche.

I get it that people are rating the drama based on how kissing scenes made them feel, but from even slightly objective standpoint the story is really nothing much, it is a drama equivalent of a second rate romance novel.

She is absolutely adorable. Genuine, smart, strong, playful, with not a trace of saccharine fake cuteness, and standard issue female wiles pretending childlike innocence. Both, character and the actress, are just wonderful. And the two of them together is a delight to watch. I couldn't care less about the tired , overused , betrayal/revenge/family story line, but watching these two interact is a treat.

True, I admit this drama at least makes the parents relent, some other dramas parents are monsters and nothing moves them. But I also think for many of us who are not Asian, witnessing grown, capable, financially independent children having to appease their parents, and being obligated to get them to 'relent' - that frankly pisses us off . Yes, I know Asian culture is what it is, I studied it a bit, I appreciate a lot of it, - but understanding and appreciation these are intellectual and aesthetic notions. Reaction to this kind of child parent interaction is visceral , it is a gut reaction based on our own cultural experience. And that visceral reaction is WTAF!

Yes, it is realistic. And it realistically annoying as hell, and infuriating to boot 😄.

Parents in asian dramas are a little too precious, and full of themselves. They can't accept it, and their feeling must matter so much because children are , what, meant to be an extension of them? Their property? Their old age insurance? Sure these parent relent, but wtf should they have so much say to begin with? I know it is cultural, but it sucks and this dictatorial attitude toward children is really annoying.

I was wondering if they did it on purpose, or it just happened that way: almost every vivid element of the drama is reminiscent of some other drama. Train into the VR - my first thought was Harry Potter, Qin Xiao Yi outfit and vibe - same as his other role in Fall in Love, even her outfit in first scenes is reminiscent of Mu Wan Qing; ghosts over the haunted mansion - copy of Dementors; the whole set-up with him renting a space for nostalgic architecture - Personal Tastes. And that is just first 10 eps 😂.

People and their obsession with slim is seriously warped.
