Rating on this board seldom reflect the actual quality of any drama or lack of that quality. This drama is fun. It is excellently acted, beautifully shot and has enough humor and feeling to make it work.

I absolutely hate horror, and normally would not watch it. But this drama is so visually interesting and framing is so captivating, and different from the regular recycled fare, I got drawn in. I am usually lukewarm on Dilbara, she is amazingly beautiful, but her acting, I think, is blahh, but she is perfectly casted here. He is interesting to watch, and they look good together. I am still on early eps, not sure if it will stay interesting, or deteriorated into blood, shocks, ominous music, and typical collection of tropes for plot.

One of my absolutely favorite dramas. The two of them together are delight! ML is to die for , she is adorable, smart and classy; the whole cast is exceptional, not a single weak link, the whole production is superb! And to this day I can't get over how despicable the attitude toward adopted kids is in Korea. Makes my blood boil, and I so want to kick her uncle in his family jewels.

It is funny how any misuse of English language, always finds some apologist to claim it was grounded in Confucianism, or some other venerable Asian tradition we all must bow to. If you want people around the world to respect your traditions, at last respect rules of other people's language. If there is a need to highlight her gender because of specifics of the role it should be done in a different way - which this article does not do. In English, writing that a She is playing a female is gibberish.

I so loved it years ago, but for some reason now, on rewatch it suddenly feels the legendary Dr. Romantic is really a bit of a jerk. He is a genius, of course, and he is all about saving lives, but some of his methods are not due to his 'temper', he is basically a righteous bully.
Also it has become shocking me how violent and grotesquely corrupt Korean society is depicted in dramas; how accepted they make the ungoverned, emotional outburst, rudeness, battery, how much anger is thrown at others, the desire for revenge, for assigning blame, and all that public hysteria and yelling . It is truly shocking.

It is one of the most beloved dramas of millions of people, and it is objectively well written, acted and produced. It might not be to your taste but it doesn't make it 'inflated".

It is a bit of a stretch, but Healer only says like 2 sentences to her total , and he pitches his voice low, and he almost whispers . But most importantly, she just thinks of Bong Soo and Healer as two so completely different types of people, the connections wouldn't even enter her mind, and if it does it would seem impossible.

Becasue there are a ton of sourpuses on this board who get their kicks by downgrading and denigrating excellent work and praising crap.
