Define ''forced diversity''. Foreigners winning something once in their lifetime is not ''forced''.
Hmm seems to me like you missed the purpose behind my comment. I was expressing my disappointment in the industry, that is all. Maybe i should have nuanced it better to explain that i am very HAPPY for her since it is deserved, but i wish she won NATURALLY without the political agenda behind it. This particular aspect seems to undermine minorities efforts and hardwork... (but we take what we can get for now)
The rest is semantics, it was indeed forced (in the sense of manufactured) you can look up the new policies that are in the process of being implemented lately online. But here's a couple of articles regarding this matter:
"Also maybe, it’s American hospitality for the Korean actor?" That shade though.. I can't help but question: Would she have won (naturally and organically) without the inclusion of race & gender standards and forced diversity rules that have been implemented though? :/ Still, i'm sure Koreans and minorities in the industry are happy for this infinitesimal change.
EDIT: My comment seemed quite negative, right? I should have nuanced it better. I am actually happy for her and for every minority ever to get any type of positive recognition and representation. Which in my understanding shouldn't be (at this day & age) an exception but effortlessly be part of the norm.
Haha Joon Ki's character is pure comedy gold. I love him to bits. ♥ Waikiki made me laugh hysterically till my stomach hurt and tears were flowing. Never laughed in a drama like i did in this one.
The synopsis seems so interesting but my heart is not ready for a tragic melo or smtg.. I'll wait till it is completed and see if it has a nice ending hhh
I was exactly thinking of Kindaichi with the roles reversed xD
I grew up watching Conan but Kindaichi and Miyuki's adventures were my guilty pleasure! Tbh i don't plan to watch the newer Kindaichi series at all tho. Enjoy watching! You can maybe watch a couple of hundred episodes or smtg.. None of us have actually finished watching Conan tho.. :P
Tbh i read the manga as a typical student/teacher romance but then i changed my mind. It was worth it choosing the 2nd ML because he went all in for her, instead of that wishy washy sensei who was still hanging onto his ex.. Our homeboy loves her more and it shows in the manga.. That being said, i'll watch this movie soon even tho i know every detail xD

Oh Detective Conan is a "pioneer" detective/investigation, famous, long running anime. It's a whodunnit, killer of the week type of series. It has a modern era Sherlock Holmes vibe. I dunno abt other aspects but it's really ingenious and remarkable in the crime solving aspects. It has a consistent and rational approach which always explains the "logical process" in which some crimes most likely happened. So Conan uses his quick-witted analysis to solve them in disguise as an older detective (who takes all Conan's credit) If you watch it, you'd see the many similitudes it has with "Kindaichi" because surely, that series (like many in this genre) was deeply inspired by Conan in many aspects.

Add to that the whole "took their credit in solving cases" Conan trick and we have "Nemesis" At least in Conan, the reason for doing this was well explained. In this one, i'm not so sure why tbh... It gotta be those charismatic speeches and poses :'D
Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo's last episode got 3.68 million views on streaming sites and made it the most watched…
Koi wa Tusuzuku Yo Doko Made Mo deserves it It's the most awesome Japanese romcom ever ♥ I didn't know this one was so popular tho. Even on MDL it has a high score..
This is a cruel world indeed, where Jin Young who's a year older than this ahjumma, and plays a 19 year old student and freaking looks the part, while he's like almost thirty!! TT . TT Jin Young ah! I hope you'll accept this role..
