I have put this one on hold. Unlike many, I found the first episode was too fast, and, consequently, a little too dry. Politics is definitely my cup of tea, but here it seemed almost sensational and unrealistic.
Episode 3 has made me decide I will stick to this. Doctor Yo Han's past is too intriguing, and I want to see how this drama will explore the conversation about the morality in performing euthanasia.
Lee Yoo Jun can pretend to compete with Cha Yo Han, but it's so obvious he admires him, lol. I must say, I am enjoying the harmless friction between them.
The negatives aside, I like the OSTs and BGM. And doesn't Park Jung Bo look like Freddie Highmore? He's a cutie, not to mention a good actor; I see a great future ahead of him!
This is good and all, but the end of first episode / the start of second episode was unrealistic and frankly overdramatic.…
I also feel the female lead is shown less competent for the heck of it. And I just read the tags, lol. She is not annoying, but her complete dependence on the male lead was not fun (in the first two episodes) either.
This is good and all, but the end of first episode / the start of second episode was unrealistic and frankly overdramatic. There are so many ways Yo Han could have told Shi Young to accompany the patient. Running with her to the ambulance to give the pep talk (it's not like the guards did not let him roam around freely either), or simply telling her that he would tell her later. Shi Young did not have to extend the conversation either -- her reaction time is so slow for a doctor, even one who has been on a break for more than a year.
The patient had some nerve to talk about his friend downstairs, lol. And our doctor is definitely a force to be reckoned with!
I'm so glad to see Lee Se Young once again. My first drama of hers was The Crowned Clown, and judging by the comments, she'll be exploring her acting skills deeply in this one. I don't know what to expect from Ji Sung, only that he's a well-known actor and very much loved.
The previous two shows that aired on the time slot this drama has now were spectacular (I'm talking about the Fiery Priest and Nokdu Flower). What's more, their premise was written in a similar manner too, describing the characters more than revealing the plot. I should give this a chance and see how it goes!
Who are those two people because I feel I'm on the same boat :'(
IKR. I mean, even Gi Moo Hyuk's friend was confused about his use of "sunbae". I am kind of hoping the recent *cough* developments *cough* will push them together. But that's too much to hope for. I guess I'll live with their interactions and interpret them my way :( It feels good to know that I'm not the only one sailing on this ship.
Her love interest was Yi Kang and it was a satisfying ending. The ending of the drama is pretty tragic but hopeful.
Many characters die, including Yi Hyun, who kills himself. It is also hopeful, because Yi Kang continues to fight for his people and keep the Donghak ideology alive. Lady Song starts helping out Lady Hwang financially to educate children for free.
So Beom Jin pushes the bullied kid to the edge with false sense of comfort in his words, to stand up for himself and whatnot. A kid with a knife? Not good, not good at all. The next episode seems exciting.
The first two episodes were not the best in drawing you in since they were really just introductory ones. This week's episodes set the tone of this drama properly. There are two new characters we meet, and one of them is part of the main cast (Tak Soo Ho). I think this is only going to get interesting as we progress. because neither of the two sides trying to keep Tae Kyung or lure him towards them are without skeletons in their closet. What's more, both are certified sociopaths. The case of the missing actresses only adds to the mystery -- why did those incidents occur? I would recommend this to people on the fence about watching this.
Yeo Beom Jin is a little confusing, in the sense that he seems to be a bully himself, but he makes himself come across as less of a monster than the bully who wears those flowery sneakers. I imagined he just cae across as a shady character but was not one, but his considering other students' as preys and telling his friend that the temp. saw what happened at the rooftop makes me doubt where his morality lies. Anyway, if this drama is not different from other school dramas, then he was shut up by the adults, though I hope his story is original.
I cannot wait for episode 4. This only gets better each time. This is a show I would prefer to binge watch, so I can learn every thing about it quickly, but part of the fun is in waiting.
I like that Ha So Hyun and Gi Mo Hyuk are both working on the same thing(to find the root of the problems) but…
Exactly! Both know one thing or another being in different positions, and one bit of crucial information about their colleague. I wonder how they will find out they are on the same page.
