From the preview for episode 12, it seems like they're staying in Xueyue City much longer than the donghua, likely to present the backstory? Really looking forward to the next arc with more fight scenes and new characters.
In nutshell :- Lei Wu Jie wanted to go Xueyue city to prove himself as martial artist.- Xiao Se wanted to Xueyue…
Nope. Lei Wu Jie is from the Lei Family (Lei Jia) and I'm not too sure where it is but it's different from Xueyue City. The first arc is of him making his way to Xueyue City plus a few detours here and there with friends along the way.
I don't have the link but all episodes from season 1 of the donghua was available on youtube (like all episodes condensed into one video). Hope it's still there.
As I've seen the donghua, while the drama is so far so good, it kinda loses a bit of the angst/ excitement (for me lah) because I know whats to come. So if you want to keep it fresh, you might want to watch it after the drama ends - just a suggestion :)!
I haven't watch ep 7, but i saw that wuxin leave 😢.When will they reunite?😢
According to the donghua he doesn't come out a lot in the second (I think) arc. He appears here and there (discreetly) to help Xiao Se and Lei Wu Jie along the way but as he's one of the main characters I suspect the drama will add more screentime for him.
I started this hoping it would be smiliar to like Ancient Detective, Strange stories from the Tang Dynasty but it was too slow. I did actually skip two episodes and to see if by ep 5 or 6 they've resolved the case but they appear to be still solving the same case!
Watched a few episodes but none of the characters really stood out. It could do with a funny quirky side character here and there but I can't see that there is one... dunno if I should continue or drop.
Ahhh, my first chinese donghua turned live action/ drama! So far sooo goodddd! From the previews seems like the…
Just my opinion, but Xiao Se's character reminds me of Wang Yi Bo's character in Legend of Fei (very well versed on what's happened in Jianghu; when new characters pop up, he's able to give a brief description of them; been rid of their martial skills but qinggong is still there for escaping purposes; and associated with the Royal family. And the different levels of martial arts reminds me of Sword Snow Stride.
Exactly what I think regarding Maggi's character. Literally came to see if anyone else though the same way lol.…
I actually went back to re-watch the beginning parts of epsiode 1 to check if I also missed the age part on Zhen Zhen but they never mentioned it at all! And I don't know if the audience is supposed to view her as older than Zhu Zhe? Not that it matters too much, but if they gave the ages for like Zhu Zhe and Chu Hui, then they might as well have revealed the ages for the others. But I noticed Zhen Zhen doesn't address Zhu Zhe with "jie"?
I feel Maggie fine in the role but maybe someone would have been an even better fit?
I never watched the previous two seasons. Well, I saw an episode of the first season but didn't quite feel it so dropped it. However, I'm enjoying this season so far.
The close friendship between Zhen Zhen and the girls I find developed a bit too quick? It would've also been nice to see or for them to explain how the rest of the girls actaully met and decided to become flat mates.
I've only watched up to episode 3 and thought WS's master...
was the bad guy and wanted to become the Heaven Official but that fact that he didn't want the Police guy to use WS as a bait to catch DYQ and even when they returned and he saw them both in the garden and just let them be... seems like I got it wrong? Did anyone else think the same initially? I mean, future episodes could prove me wrong but as of now, he's not as bad as I thought he was. I also started this drama with not knowing much... I haven't even read the synopsis (!).

Fights scenes were done really well - less of the cgi/ flashy stuff but back to the good old classic stuff. Very engaging.
From the previews seems like the first few episodes covered the whole of season 1 of the donghua so the pace is looking good!
