Super hyped for this and can't wait to see Gong Jun as Su Mu Yu! All of the cast looks amazing in the trailers and images so far. I've had my fill of romance for a while and ready to watch some martial arts magical ass-kicking. 😂
im glad there’s so many mingyi defenders that i dont have to defend her myself towards people who dont have…
Sometimes people have a really hard time understanding characters in the context of the story. It's like they're judging them based on unrelated real world situations instead of what the fictional universe is actually showing us. ADWAD had some kind of nasty commenters along those lines, for sure.
For a fraction of a second, I almost felt bad for Mu Qibai. Mostly because he was so foolish though. He had a kind and powerful brother who loves him, a smart niece who looked up to him, and a strangely hot assortment of talented dudes who supported and followed him. Like he probably could have accomplished a lot without going to extremes and corrupting himself or sacrificing people. He was that person who has it good and somehow is just too blind, greedy, and self-pitying to see it.
The scene with Shao Qun tugged at my heart a little I guess, because he seemed like the one remaining person who cared about MQB and believed in him. Rest in peace Hottest Henchman, you deserved a better master.
Also of note for these episodes: My god, Quan Yi Lun is beautiful up close. He has such nice features and he transmits this weird, confused suffering so well. Please just go apologize and hug your princess, you idiot! She is totally fine with your ambitious side!
I'm here to make a public apology for once saying that I thought HMH was not very expressive. I never disliked him, was just kind of a neutral appreciator for a gorgeous actor with a nice voice. He has been amazing in this drama. His eyes alone transfix me and convey a thousand emotions. He can change the atmosphere of an entire scene with the way he is standing or walking. Please forgive me, drama gods and spirits. I was completely wrong and will never commit this sin again. 😂
just realized this director directed basically all my favourite dramas..... story of kunning palace, blossoms…
I didn't even think to check on this, but you're totally right! Couple of those are my top favorites that really captivated me at some point, just like this show.
I see what you’re saying, at this point we see him falling in love but her not as much. Though honestly I’m…
Yeah, I think more insight into MY's internal struggles would help this drama out a lot. I'm enjoying it since I can imagine that part for myself, but seems like other people are taking issue with her character. I generally agree with the perspective of her being not actually evil or terrible, but morally grey and emotionally confused. I just would like to see/hear more of her own reflection and growth on it. JBZ's development is so gradual and subtle and HMH did such a good job portraying it. I guess maybe MY is going to have more of an explosive or dramatic type of realization.
